  1. Most of my stuff is video game related. :) I ordered the WWE encyclopedia here: http://www.ltdcommodities.com/WWE-Encyclopedia/cat_item_pg.asp?G=864&P=41&Rec=1&Ntt=wwe&N=37&Nao=0&R=481050-3ENK---1 It was cheaper than amazon, even with shipping. It has already arrived, and it is an awesome book. I can't wait to give it my my son for Christmas :)
  2. I just got my DC and used it today for the first time for $200 worth of groceries and it worked fine... I was planning to use it on BF too, but will take a backup payment method just in case... Thanks for the heads up!
  3. I am wondering this too... I have several things on layaway that are on sale on BF. My sister works there... I will ask her to ask.
  4. Thank you all for your words... it makes things a little easier. Since my boys are small, and still "believe", the pressure to keep the magic alive can be alot sometimes. I had the boys rewrite their lists, and choose 3 things that they would REALLY like from Santa. I think that is do-able. Plus they will get smaller things from DH and I, and then a ton from my sisters and my mom. I think I am going to wrap smaller things in bigger boxes, and maybe put boxes inside boxes to make things more fun for them. :) Christmas is my favorite time of year, and I will not let anything get me down. We are blessed to have so much more than so many. We have a beautiful home, our health, and eachother. Really, we need nothing more. :)
  5. Last year by this time, I was done shopping. This year, but budget hasn't allowed for much shopping yet. I just don't know how I am going to get it all done and paid for in time. We don't have credit cards, so Christmas is cash only. My sons are asking for lots of things, most have a minumum of $30 pricetag. I am worried that we will buy for them, spend our budget, and because of the cost of things, it won't look like much. I remember being a kid and my parents spending about $300 each on us, and we got a TON of stuff. With the cost of video games and such, it will be a tiny Christmas, especially with so little shopping time left. I am not having much luck with the BF ads either... I hate holiday stress!! LOL!
  6. This ad looks similar to last years. The PJ sets and pants are on my list for sure, as well as the boys jeans, some movies, and video games, and the Imaginext Space Shuttle. I will be at Target first thing again this year... I can't wait!! :)
  7. I can not believe this situation. I am so sorry that you are having to go through this. I hate when people lose sight of what the holidays are really all about. I agree that $150 per child is ALOT. I have 2 sisters. Neither of them have kids, and I have 2. We have NEVER discussed how much they spend on my boys for the holidays. They do what they can whether it be $10 or $50. I would never give them any grief about it. If they ask what my boys would like for their birthdays or Christmas, I always ask them how much they want to spend and suggest something in their price range. You need to do what is best for you family, and put your own child first, IMO. If giving so much to your sister's kids would mean that your own child has nothinig for Christmas, or that it would strap you financially, don't do it. If she gets mad, she gets mad. Stand your ground and try not to stress out too much over it. I am sure it is very hard. Enjoy your time with your son and husband. THAT is what matters most during the holidays. :)
  8. I got the target toy book in today's mail. You should be able to print the coupons from the website though, and last year, my store had booklets with the coupons in them at the service desk and at the end of each toy aisle.
  9. Mine was my diamond engagement ring for Christmas 2000. I will never forget that Christmas, ever.
  10. My target has a bunch of the Tvs too... can anyone explain how they work on the road? DH drives a truck during the week, and was thinking of getting one for him, but am wondering if I should get a portable DVD instead...
  11. Can anyone recall some of the clearance games, especially for Wii, XBOX and DS?
  12. I was just there today, and they are having a buy 3 get 3 sale on their signatuare scents. The only coupon I got was $10 off $$30 if I do the customer survey over the phone.
  13. I got some of mine at Walmart, and some I had ordered from www.papertreyink.com .
  14. Thank you! :) Believe it or not, it was actually quite relaxing. It took me just over an hour and I did it while I was watching TV.
  15. I made a ribbon wreath this weekend for my mom. Here is a pic :) http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c267/audreynicole/100_1188.jpg
  16. Do you happen to know what new colors are coming? I am wondering if I should wait on the new colors...
  17. My boys got pillow pets last year for Christmas, and while I was a little put off by the price, I got them anyway because they kept asking for them. They use them all the time. I made them fleece blankets to match and they pull them both out almost everynight to lay and watch TV on the floor. I got one DS the monkey (he has a jungle themed room) and the other a Dolphin (he has a shark/ocean themed room). They wash up nicely too. As far as the Sing-a-majigs, I saw them yesterday in Target and they are CUTE. I want one for myself. LOL!
  18. I was able to use the $4 off coupon today at Target for the Spongebob Connect 4 game that they have on sale for $9 this week. Regular price is $14.99 and I paid $5! :)
  19. This is beautiful! I am definately going to make one for my mom for Christmas :)
  20. Does anyone have any input on Mighty Beans or Paper Jamz Guitars? Both are on my boys lists this year (they are 8 and almost 7) and I am not 100% sold on either one...
  21. I am definately planning on this for my DS7. He loves his Wii, and loves to draw. I am so excited. It's perfect for him!!
  22. We have to shop for 20, but that will include one family gift for a family of 6.
  23. I have recently taken to rubber stamping and found a stamp set where you can make your own bookmarks and book plates. I have decided that I will be doing this for my sons' teachers, and a few friends, and some for my sons and DH. I plan to include a book for each as well as the bookmarks and plates and package them all together :)
  24. The year before last, I had no idea what to get DH. He didn't ask for anything, and there wasn't really anything that he needed. I ended up getting him a PSP game system. He was traveling alot for work at the time, and I thought it would be nice for when he was stuck in a hotel room by himself. Turns out he LOVES it, and really, it started his love of gaming. I love that I can buy him games for it for other holidays/birthdays. Would your DH enjoy something like that maybe?
