  1. Just a heads up... The Imaginext Batcave and Dragon Fortress that are in the toy book for $34.99 are even cheaper at KMart this week. $29.99 til 10/31. :)
  2. My boys want those too. I noticed that there are a few other items that have that same "hot price" tag. I think it's done on purpose and not cut off of the page. I think the regular price for those is something like $24.99. I did notice the other day at target that they have a rectangular case for the Bakugan that has a handle and snaps shut ($9.99 and comes with one exclusive bakugan), and a Bakugan binder to hold the cards ($8.99). I think I am going to go that route for my boys because the sphere only holds 12 bakugan, and the case holds 24 and is half the price. Just another option for you :) Edit: Here is a link to the other case, and it's cheaper at TRU: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3351170 And the binder: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3544707#showReviews
  3. I went a few times when I was in highschool but just to see what it was all about. I didn't look at the ads like I do now. As far as serious black friday shopping goes, it's been about 5-6 years that I have been going. Pretty much since my little ones were born.
  4. Whoot! Thank you Kim and Brad! :) There are quite a few things in the book that are on my boys' wishlists. I will be there bright and early on November 1st. :) I read about some people that check out in $75 incriments so that they can get multiple giftcards... is that allowed normally, or does it depend on the store/cashier? I just don't want to look like a total moron if I ask to do that, and it's not allowed. LOL
  5. Aww, I am so sorry. I know just how you feel. My DH was laid off for 6 months last year, and we almost couldn't have Christmas. It is so, so hard. Good luck to you! *hugs*
  6. The books that will come in the Sunday paper will be identical to the ones that go through the mail right? I want to make sure, before I buy the paper, that it will have the same coupons as the books that are mailed.
  7. You are so awesome! Thank you, thank you! :)
  8. Oh my goodness, I am so excited I can't even see straight! Thank you both for scanning and posting! I am going to start stalking my mailbox too!
  9. I would love either a Bucket Tote or Reversible Tote in either the Symphony in Hue or Carnaby pattern. I usually get a new one every year for Christmas. Since I won't buy one for myself, DH always makes sure I get one :) I love VB stuff.
  10. Our boys get the hess truck every year too, along with new PJs.
  11. I feel ya there! I have 3 very stubborn males. Two little, and one big. Except most days, it feels like it's 3 little. LOL! I LOVE Hobby Lobby but the nearest one is about 80 miles from me. I keep hoping they will open one closer. I could drop some serious cash there. :)
  12. LOL! I know, I know. I am already hearing it from my mom and my husband. They are teasing me like no tomorrow. It's ok though. I can take it. LOL!
  13. Not usually. DH asks for a list, and then shops from it. The only exception to that would be if I wanted a big ticket item. I search out the sales, and then he tells me to go get it and he wraps it. The man has never shopped a sale or used a coupon in his life. Drives me crazy. LOL
  14. Ahh yes. A few hours of non-fighting kids would be heavenly. :) To answer my own question, I am hoping DH and mom will pick up on my hints. LOL I'd like: A Pink Snuggie (laugh if you must, but I want one. LOL) The Martha Stewart Cupcakes book A Mr. Coffee Cafe Frapp Machine A new Vera Bradley purse and matching wallet The new Super Mario game for Wii
  15. For my DS 6 & 7: Crayons Markers Toothbrushes Stickers Small Flashlight Webkinz Club Penguin 1 month membership Cool Bandaids Candy DH: Toothbrush Candy Scratch off lottery tickets XBOX Live Subscription Fast Food giftcards Golf Balls Chapstick
  16. I wrap as I buy, and write everything down in a little notebook so I don't forget what I got everyone.
  17. Just curious, what are you hoping is under the tree for YOU this year?
  18. We are planning to get a Wii as a family gift from Santa. In addition to that: DS 7 - Bakugan and carrying case, a Wii game, a few board games, a few new books and DVDs, more animals for his DiscoveryKids Scanopedia, Zhu Zhu Pets and a 2009 Hess Truck. DS 6 - Bakugan and carrying case, a Wii game, Twister game, Club Penguin membership, a football, a few books and DVDs, Zhu Zhu Pets and a 2009 Hess Truck. DH - A food dehydrator (that's what he asked for! LOL), a Wii Game, XBOX Live membership, a new UnderArmor hat. Sister 18 - Fleece PJ pants, a 2010 calender, underwear Sister 28 - a Leopard Print Snuggie Mom and her BF - a set of new dishes and an all-in-one printer Dad - a golf shirt, new jeans and cologne
  19. Usually $20-25 each for us, but half of that is usually the cost of a webkinz. The rest is just little goodies from the Target $ spot, and other little things like new crayons and cool bandaids.
  20. I agree! My son wanted nothing but legos for his birthday, but they are so dang expensive. We bought him 2 sets of the Best Lock brand, and he doesn't know the difference. They are identical to the legos in size and quality, just without the lego name printed on them. I will probably get him a few more sets for Christmas just because I am so impressed with they way they are made. As far as no-no's in my house... I agree with the moonsand. That stuff is the worst invention EVER. I won't be buying that, or playdough, or bubbles. I did (against my better judgement) buy 2 jars of the Nickeloden Slime for the boys' stockings. It was on clearance at walmart for $1 so I picked up 2 jars because they both mentioned it. I am not sure yet if I am giving it to them or not. They have both asked for more Transformers, but I won't be buying those. Once they lose one piece, and it won't transform, it gets tossed in the toybox. Waste of money for us. I don't mind the Pokemon, Bakugan etc. cards because both of my sons are really good about keeping them in their binders. I am not having to pick them up. Pretty much, anything that we have to assemble, or store (like race tracks, train tracks, etc.) are off of the list. I just don't need anymore pieces or clutter. Pretty much, if it can't fit in their storage containers, or on their book shelves, we don't need it. We are running out of room. LOL
  21. 1. A Nintendo Wii bundle 2. Wii,XBox360 and DS games 3. An all-in-one printer 4. Anything Bakugan since it's top on both of my boys' lists this year 5. Mr. Coffee Cafe Frapp Machine (though I doubt there will be any sales since this is so new)
  22. We plan to spend a little more this year than last. Last Christmas, DH was laid off, so we had a very small Christmas. I have been shopping since July, buying on sale and clearance, and really, I haven't spent that much at all yet.
  23. For me, it's always ToysRus first, followed by Target. I usually just hit those 2 stores, have breakfast and go back home to bed. LOL
