I think all of the previous ideas mentioned are very good.... my idea would be to maybe have a special 12 days of Christmas for them. . Instead of 1 big material present, what if you did something (for each of them individually) for 12 days in the month of December. You can discuss the days, so there isn't a schedule conflict/they will be in town/ home... and you aren't barging in on their dates... Because you are not working, you may have some extra time and that can be a wonderful thing:D Just a few ideas (and I don't know if they live in their own place...) ~Do a maid service 1 or 2 times, go over to their place/up to their room and really clean it like a service might do, leave a mint/their favorite magazine on their pillow.... ~cook them a favorite meal ~favorite baked good another day ~wash their car/take it to carwash, put the airfreshner in it yourself, also how about stocking the car with some things only mom's might think of.....some tissues, antibacterial, a little trash bin, sunglass holder, crossword to do when in traffic...how about if you buy them a CD of comedian, they can laugh while stuck in traffic jam.. ~do they have a pet, you could be the "pet resort" take the pet, bath it, walk it, give it a night away from their place ~how about if you'd decorate a bit for them?? ~pick up dry-cleaning if they use that ..... ~do laundry, fold and put away, like you did when they were little. ~ stop by their job and bring them a homemade lunch....or if that is too embarrassing --order 1 or 2 pizzas for them to share. ~ movie tickets & go with them, eat popcorn, be a kid. ~ can you stock their fridge? bar? a few bottles of wine/case of beer, N. Years is just after Christmas... ~ just run some errands, drop off some bills, pick up some food, get $20 of gas in their tank I am pretty sure, that for years to come, they will remember the Christmas when mom did all these personal, caring things for them.

allshoppedout replied to Brad's topic in Offline Hot Deals
Thank you, I learn so much do you think it will continue to work for awhile/or can't be sure. Just remembering Leapster games were in BF ad for $ 15 that means with coupon they'd be 10! -
OOPS this isn't the one I meant. Mine was FREE, you had a few options, filled in names of family, town, etc. and printed it yourself, NO CHARGE at all... maybe someone will read this and tell us. Thanks.

Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2009
allshoppedout replied to Brad's topic in Offline Hot Deals
the above post wasn't meant for me, but I was reading along in the thread...interested in some coupons, I clicked on link. For leapster or didj games the coupons expire 9/30/09 bummer -
I have bought used games a few times...but never had to/wanted to return any. If it is a B 2 G 1 offer, will they let you exchange the one you don't like/isn't working for an equally priced game so you don't lose your "bargain?"

slightly off topic, but I was interested in the guitar working I have a GH guitar and 2 games for it on PS 2 -- since Old Navy has a special promotion for Rockband & RB 2 on Thanksgiving and also for Lego RB on BF, I wanted to ask: We have PS 2 and Wii and are getting PS 3, what is the best system to play Lego/any ROCKBAND game on?? I mean if I am going to get it for free and can choose whatever, then I want to go with the system that it is most fun to play it on..is there a general rumor/opinion on this?? Also, don't you think Old Navy may make the price of RB 2 (on Thurs) really high, thus making the "free guitar" not such a steal?? How much would be too much to charge for the RB 2 game, to make it "NOT" worth my time getting in line super early.? Any help appreciated. :)

Nothing I want there~ blah ad. No good wii game prices . . . And I did look at it pretty fast, but were the zhu-zhu things advertised...didn't even see them. Saw the 2.98 little pet thing....hmmm Not gonna be at TRU:no:

Thanks for letting me know, I am thinking on it....usually when I get him a new one, I'd buy only one of a certain kind (if it is similar in nature, i.e. both Legos...) to make sure he enjoys it....although it seems those who responded on this thread own multiple lego wii games--so that is a good sign
-
Seems alot of you suggested the LEGO type games....in interest of saving some money I see that I can get Lego Indiana Jones the Original Adventure for 16.49 (no tax) Amazon...that has been out awhile, will I find it much cheaper anywhere else?

I know what you mean, the orange clashes with the red bows and garland but just squint or look the other way. I did my other stuff on Friday....and I justify it because I'll be inside warm and toasty when they are outside in another 7-10 days and it is 20 or more degrees cooler.... ~Hubby did his "extension cord" strategy this afternoon and hooked everything up without tripping any breakers so I'll probably light it all up NEXT Saturday or Sunday...

Did you find a good/great deal on Toy Story Mania? It seems to be in the $ 45+ range..... Thanks for your suggestions.

Good grief maybe they'll alternate adding and omitting phrases all the way up until Black Friday.. -
