I agree and feel same way, I'd like a white tree but also not thinking dear husband would like it at all Yours sounds like it will be gorgeous. I think If I ever get one I'd try red & gold decorations with red and white lights, or teal, kiwi, silver decorations with maybe all clear or light blue lights... Since i am not a fan of white walls, and my rooms are all colors, I know having one white tree would really brighten up my living room and stand out, they can look very very classy!

I like this, but don't want to pay $80 dollars http://www.kmart.com/shc/s/p_10151_10104_07111041000P?prdNo=19&blockNo=19&blockType=G19&isRecReq=false

Well, for anyone reading who might also be looking for BIG outdoor decorations, I thought I'd come back to say, that 2 Home depots near me, still have NOTHING out for Christmas! Lowes has some things they had last year (like LED deer that look PURPLE/greyish and got bad reviews) A gumdrop tree that I thought was cute (also got awful reviews) THey have pretty glittery gold reindeer but they seem "flimsy" and I bet the glitter would either flake off in 2-3 years/or turn color and they are 80 a piece...ugh. Target doesn't have much to be excited over either. They have silvery deer, not much to them, and they don't give off much light. I am very disappointed. . . Garden Ridge is a bit of a ride and I understand the return policy isn't great. If I buy it now, I want to know if what I buy stops working Dec. 24, I can bring it back... I looked online as well, nothing new, guess I have to wait longer.

I try to fill stockings with items I would want to receive and that would be the following: Those 1 dollar gloves, I keep a pair--or 2 in each car we have incase a kid or adult forget theirs, throughout the winter. Lottery tickets of any kind :) Gas Card, coffee card, sheetz, kmart, walgreen, for just 5 dollars, I/anyone can use the 5 bucks to grab some mints/gum and a coffee or cocoa on the run, before doing major shopping and don't wish to sit in a long drive thru line... those super soft fuzzy kind of slipper socks -WOW love 'em For a person who has to spend alot of time in the car, travel size kleenex, small wipes, mints, small bottle of aspirin, even a holiday CD . . . Travel mug, cocoa in a variety of flavors, small powdered coffeemate in yummy flavors (that too can be kept in car of someone who drives alot, they can add it to "plain" coffee they may get at some stores...) Small travel brush/mirror, COUGH Drops, and then of course there are alot of more expensive things, but I don't think that is what you are looking for suggestions of.. Happy Stuffing!

I got this Nikon for a gift last year and LOVE it, responds quick enough for me, great zoom, easy to use, great looking, easy to handle. I had a Samsung BF special (I think 2008)camera from Walmart, came with nice case, batteries, pretty red color, but the pictures were often blurry, especially any I'd zoom so personally I'd stay away from a Samsung, but that could have been a lemon I had.... http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Nikon+-+Coolpix+S6100+16.0-Megapixel+Digital+Camera+-+Silver/1978038.p?id=1218304068740&skuId=1978038#BVRRWidgetID -

There is one about 45-60 min. away, I have never been. Thanks. I did go to Lowes---and they had some of what I was looking for, grapevine items, waaaaaaay up high, I mean probably 30 feet up, on the very highest shelf you could put it...with many empty shelves in between, no chance of "touching" or examining closely, but I did take a cell picture and am gonna search on internet, LOL... And a good sign, at my Target, the lady was in the act of pulling out the clearance garden hoses/shovels, etc off the shelf that will "hopefully have the Xmas items on it by Friday" as she put it... So hope I can have some decorations for sure, purchased, assembled and "tested" by Halloween, so if anything is wrong with them, I will have a chance to get back up/second choices... I don't want to be looking for that kind of stuff on BF...wanna concentrate on gifts at that point.

Oh forgot to add, I don't have BJ's or Menard's in my area, but thanks for the suggestions. Also, I will have to check out my local Craigslitsts listings :)

I was unable to dash to Target since I last posted...but I did check at Walmart & Home Depot...Walmart had "small things" out and that soft tinsel kind of stuff, smaller like animals..and then big BLOW UP things...but no deer and stuff.... Once again the HD employees looked at me like "crazy Old lady" when I asked about them. I hope to get to Lowe's and Target tomorrow. I wanted to get BIG like 60 inch size (or 45 if I can't do 60 in.) size buck & Doe. I wanted to get non-animated because, well I had animated in the past and they were GOOD decorations and even they would stop working at times, I think due to the cold...and the last 2 yr they wouldn't move at all . . . but they sat there and looked good anyway.. I can't do the Blow up kind, I get toooo much wind. We had neighbors have their blow up decorations destroyed/ripped by wind... Thanks everybody, I have looked online and not much added.

I thought I'd just change the title of the thread, instead of starting a new one, and you could comment if you started/finished decorating outdoors yet? -Nov 12, 2011 Ok I had some dear old decorations "die" before/during the holidays last year. I was looking for new things to replace them, had no luck online, no luck on after xmas clearance. So THIS fall, since I heard stores were starting early, i went searching. I searched online--and what I find mostly is OUT OF STOCK and alot will say ONLINE exclusive. So I call Lowe's and Home Depot online help and no one knows ANYthing. I ask, does that mean YOU HAD IT and it is already sold out, so I shouldn't get my hopes up-- or does it say OOS until you get it in? (in which case I personally feel it should read "coming soon" ! ) Well NO one --from any store, can answer my questions. I went to the Sam's, the Walmart, Lowe's and H.Depot near me, they "don't know" when the big things come out. . . Big Lot's had some stuff, but nothing I wanted. I need some big deer/ or deer and sleigh or something else kind of elegant to put out--not looking for whimsical this time--no offense. But I cannot even compare/decided best price/item without knowing what people will have. I was looking at 2-3 larger items, rather than several smaller/medium. guess they'll wait and put it out the day my son has a dental appt or is down with the flu and I'll miss the sale/stocking of the item! DOES ANYONE RECALL when they found stuff last year-- online or otherwise --in which stores? I feel like I am starting early, but I was looking at end of Nov. last year and stuff I liked/wanted was gone...

deals 4 high efficiency LAUNDRY detergent ??
allshoppedout replied to allshoppedout's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
Thank u all so much -- I am using the Gain powder for HE and clothes smell great and I cannot believe the teeny amount I am using! I got it from my local grocery store (4 boxes) plus a coupon I found, plus 5 in cash back on next trip, plus fuelperks. If I run out, it seems they sell it at Amazon (no tax, no shipping) so I will do that if i have to. I must confess I am afraid of screwing up the machine...so I won't be trying to use the 4 bottles of liquid NON-HE detergent I have, I think I will donate them to a local school for special children, that works on life-skills (teaches kids to do laundry, fold, etc) as no one in my family wanted them. I haven't noticed any residue from the powder on my clothes, if I do, I may switch to liquid then. My machine is a TOP loader, but I was told by the salemen that they too can get the mildew smell if you aren't careful. Thanks everybody -
deals 4 high efficiency LAUNDRY detergent ??
allshoppedout replied to allshoppedout's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
Thanks I have been looking online FOREVER.... seems like people say that powders are better for HE because it keeps mildew smell down.... Can you tell me how little you use of regular detergent? My new machine warns me numerous times not to do that...didn't know if it'd make a gooey build up somewhere in machine--but I am all for saving money if I can. Washer died the other day, it was 17 yr old, had minor repairs 3 x but this time was advised not to repair... Also washer says it "senses" load size/other things...and I didn't know if a certain amount of soap has to be in dispenser thing for it to dispense/clean it right....In other words if I cut down the amount of detergent because it isn't HE, will it be released into load correctly? -
For those of you who must buy HE laundry detergent for your HE clothes washers, where do you buy? Who has the best price for the most ounces & best soap? Liquid or powder better? Do you really feel you save on water/energy bill when you factor in the more expensive laundry soap cost? Thanks for any help :)

Brad/anyone... I may be traveling a bit this summer to 1 or 2 cities, is there a way to choose more than one city for Groupon ? I'd like to possibly get dining/other deals for those cities... I've looked all around the site and don't see where this is an option. Any help is appreciated. -

Thanks, I am trusting that swapping is pretty simple to do (I don't do "difficult" very well, LOL) I have another HUGE question, If I would buy from Amazon with an APPLE warranty and something goes wrong with it, say in 6 mos. or a year, can I take it into an Apple Store for replacement, being I bought the Apple warranty thru Amazon, or must I deal with Amazon? Anyone have trouble with one they bought from Amazon? (Another benefit if I buy from Amazon, my son's school sells giftcards for Amazon and so I could save some money and help the school...) thanks

Probably a little of everything. Educational games/apps to keep my special needs son busy when we have to "wait" during community activities/restaurants, etc. I don't even know if apps take up alot of space? I'd probably put more pictures on it, than music...and some movies, again for my son to watch. Thanks for your help.

I went on the 6th and my store had about 20 boxes of Hallmark cards (18, and 24 packs), a few odds and ends knick knack stuff and 2 TIGGER lighted window decorations at 75 off, I grabbed 2 boxes of cards for 4 dollar total... For 50 off they had like 3 bags of off-brand candy and about 10 packs of 24 ct adhesive gift tags. . . I took 2 packs of the tags for 1.oo, as I know I need them for next year. No paper, no bows, nothing else good...

I get the blues for sure. The lack of SUNSHINE in my area adds to it. I MISS THE LIGHTS and FESTIVE Decor. I think if there were something else to put up and "get into" it wouldn't be so bad. I mean I used to decorate a little for valentines day, but that was only for like 2 weeks...and it is NOT the same at all. The leaf-less trees, the cold, the GREY sky, and the absence of color all around is completely depressing. Think that is why I have my rooms painted various colors...if they were all white this time of year, I'd just shrivel up and die.... Can we all brainstorm on how to get thru the blues (not just positive attitude talk and exercise) I mean daily solutions on how to not get bummed out/depressed? Anyone, anyone? Bueller?
