The nearest Kmart and Target are 20 minutes away. Even though we get the ads in the local paper, Walmart refused to PM from their ads. I'm glad this is going away and now I won't have to drive.

I hope I get the book in the mail. I am on their mailing list. I need those coupons and I don't get the TRU ad in my local paper as the nearest TRU is 45 minutes away.

Yes, I keep track with an Excel spreadsheet. That way I know if I find something cheaper I can take it back. I also don't forget what I bought because it's all on my list.

If I got any peelie for this week, I must have thrown it out. Are they giving away coupons in the stores? I need to buy my son a jacket and the price in the store is lower than online plus I haven't seen a free shipping code.

I do TRU online if there is anything I really want. I live 40 minutes from TRU so I save the money in gas to spend on shipping.

1. In your opinion, what store had the best Black Friday ad last year (2008) and why? They didn't have an ad, but I got so much that I wanted at Amazon last year. I had to wake up at 1:30 in the morning, but I was able to get everything I wanted. 2. What would be your #1 piece of advice to someone totally new to Black Friday? Plan ahead. Get all the ads early from Gottadeal and make your game plan. Stores might offer the same thing but make sure you are getting the best price. 3. Besides offering great deals, what else can a store do to get you to shop there on BF? Drinks/cofee, maps of where the merchandise is (think Super Walmart where a lot of things are scattered all over) and I'll gladly take any freebies.

If the price is right a smaller LCD tv for our bedroom and a GPS. Definately have to get a train table for my 2 year old (I'm waiting until it's $100 or less at TRU), cheap Walmart jammies for the kids. Last year I did really good with the online Amazon sales that started at 2am for Wii and DS games. I'm sure DS6 and DH will want some new games. I have no other toy wishes at this point. Not sure what I'm going to be getting DS6. Maybe air hockey for the basement.

I hit up Walgreen's here. They had a bunch of stuff like pencils, rulers and erasers for 9, 29 and 49 cents. I got 5 packs of mechanical pencils and 10 packs of pens for 19 cents each.

Walmart has Clone Wars bedding. I got my son his set for Christmas at Target online. It's got the original characters (Luke, Leah, Han, C3PO).

I can't get the free shipping code to work. Says it has to be a minimum of $5. I ended up ordering 2 and got the free shipping. Thanks for this deal!

My DS6 got this for Christmas and loves it.

I downloaded the books onto the Tag on 12/23 before I wrapped it up. The retail version of the Tag only holds 5 books. The school version that you can buy on Leapfrog.com holds more. I got this for my 6 year old and he is not really interested in it all.

I do agree w/ everyone that some of their prices are inflated. I will only shop there when I have the 30% coupons and shopping online w/ the free shipping option. I love buying clothes there and I like their quality. A lot of things I can find cheaper elsewhere but I do find good deals there now and then.

Nothing was really hard but getting up at 2 am on BF to get the Animal Crossing bundle wasn't a piece of cake.

I'm waiting for my air guitars, 2 Kohl's orders that weren't shipped until today (better be here by Christmas since that was their gurantee) and my wii Mario Kart that hasn't even shipped yet from Blockbuster.

Through a white elephant exchange with DH's family, the limit was supposed to be $25. While I brought a martini gift set w/ shaker, glasses and the works, I got a Hershey's cocoa pot, two mugs and two packs of cocoa. I didn't even know such thing existed. It became such a joke in my house and I couldn't even sell it at my rummage sale. I ended up giving it to Goodwill.

I bought a tandem bike trailer in the spring from Amazon. My son and I were riding along when the front wheel broke off. Amazon took the bike back no problem. I actually had a new bike before I even sent the old one back. It was basically no hassle or questions asked. I can understand why they would institute this new policy, but they also shouldn't tell people to refuse shipment.

When you enter the code, it says 15% but it's really taking off the 40%. If you go back and edit your items, it changes the price of the books down to 8.xx. Two books were $14.xx shipped for me after the tax.
