  1. It depends on what we need. But, I do know that if I'm going for any high-demand items, I'll be in somebody's parking lot at 6pm with a tent, camp heater, food and drink warmer blankets, dvd player, iPod and four layers of clothing. My shopping buddy already asked for the day off.
  2. No numbers were given out at the one I was at. But, when the associate came out to give vouchers around 4am, all of us who were in the front of the line made sure he knew the order to give them out before he handed anyone ANYTHING!
  3. The people jumping ahead of you thing, is why I wanted to be as close to the front of the line as possible. I was fourth. The first three people were all from the same family and were all there all night long. I made sure I asked what they were there for and if they had any friends joining them, when we first got in line. Next year, I will do the same thing they did. Bring a tent and get there earlier. I got there at 8:30pm. They got there at 7pm. I will also bring a camp heater for the tent so my feet don't freeze and will show up around 6pm, where ever I decide to shop.
  4. I love this laptop. For the features and price, it was worth the 8.5 hours I waited for it in the cold. A similar Toshiba model is selling for this week for $799 before a $50 rebate. But it only has 256mb of RAM. I just can't believe I walked out the door with this for only $199.99, with a 12-month interest free loan from AOL at $14.95 a month. For what I do with it, (Work, I don't play any games.), it is the best. I'm wondering how I am ever going to top this deal!
  5. I don't have a scan, but, I do know if you cancel AOL you have to pay for the monthly rate of your plan, ($23.90 or $14.95) times the number on months left on your one-year contract.
  6. If there is free shipping, I'd order it online if everything was the same and I could wait a few days.
  7. I have a 2GB Nano. Kept me excellent company while I waited at CC on Thursday night.
  8. CC was my main target. Got to the parking lot at 8:30pm. Outside by 10pm. I was the third warm body in line. Got the laptop and AOL and it took one hour to checkout. I might try it again next year.
  9. YES!! But with a tent, sleeping bag and heater!
  10. I got the $75 on at CC. Haven't hooked it up yet. I'm not giving up the VCR just yet though.

    Any injuries?!

Excuse me, but I have a physical challenge too. I dressed warmly, got to CC at 8:30pm and came prepared with blankets, food, water and a chair. The only "advantage" I had was a closer parking spot. I was also shopping by myself this year. I don't believe handicapped people should get preferential treatment in lines, but, I also don't think that any person challenged or not, should try to cut in a line. She put herself in a situation that she should not have been in. That was her fault. Her fall had nothing to do with other people or her physical challenge.
  12. I hope you feel better soon.

    Talking In Line

I like to talk. But the people around me weren't too talkative this year. It might have had something to do with the blankets we all had over our heads to protect us from the cold.
  14. I got mine, (The $75 one at CC.), to off load a few hours a month from the TiVo to another media to save. We live in a small apt. There is no room for videotape. Of course this does not stop my husband from taping all kinds of stuff, but, there definetly isn't room for both of us to do that. So now I will use DVD and save some space. I don't keep everything. I'll probably only use one or two DVD+R's a month.
  15. I planned spend about $600. Due to all the deals, I spent under $400 and still got everything I wanted including the Toshiba laptop at CC. My spending would have been a little over $400 if I had been able to get the iHome clock radio that was sold out at Linen 'n Things. Those are the price before rebates. I should be getting back about $45, when they are submitted.
  16. Circuit City. Great deals! Baaad execution. Horrible infrastructure!
  17. Thanks to the associates at Office Max who were picking up extra items for people as they asked, while we waited in the checkout line. That saved me a bunch of time!
  18. I LOVE IT!!! Typing on it now. The screen is the best part!
  19. I would change a few things. 1. Brought a tent. 2. Used a sleeping bag instead of blankets. 3. Worn one pair of gloves and one pair of mittens, instead of two pairs of gloves. 4. Two words...electric socks. 5. Order things I want from smaller stores online. I missed the iHome clock radio at Linen 'n Things. That's about it. I'm super pleased that both me and my sister were able to get the CC laptops. That alone is a victory!
  20. Over the last six years my family has had three e-machines. My Sister brought two and I brought one. She still has one of her's, the other is with a friend. My Mother uses the one I brought now. Two of the original three are still in the original cases. One, (mine), had the power supply die, so I needed a new case and PS for it. Other than that none of the computers have needed any other work and all of them are still in great working order. They were not replaced because they didn't work. They were replaced because we wanted upgrades and didn't want to upgrade the machine.

    Your first stop

I'm headed to CC. Then Linen 'N Things and Target, they are all in the same Plaza. After that I think I will be done.
  22. I got an outdoor blanket and those hand warmer thingies at Wal*Mart. I'll be wearing my Jeans, two layers on top and a long heavy coat. This along with gloves, heavy socks, boots hat, earwarmers and scarf should have me set from the cold. If it starts to rain here, I have a tarp.
  23. Thank you! Does anyone know what time CC opens?
