Thanks guys. I guess I need to rethink my Walmart plans.

I've never waited in line at BB on BF but I know I'll have to get there SUPER early if I stand a chance of getting an eMachine. Once they hand out tickets, I'd like to run to Walmart and then come back to BB later in the morning. Does BB hand out tickets right before they open the doors, or earlier?

I watched a report about this on the news tonight. Here's an article about it for those who missed it- http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=47330

This thread?

Does anyone have an opinion on the "Insignia 32" Stereo Color TV - $199.99 AR"? We bought a new entertainment center and our 27" tv is really too small for the hole.
-
No Blockbuster here either. I just learned last week that Movie Gallery bought out Hollywood Video.
-
1.5 hours. There's not a Target, BB or TRU here. If the Target ad stinks, I may just shop TRU online, skip BB and stay here so I all I'll have to hit is WM (4 blocks away)

I have Verizon as well. I bought one ringtone from them until I learned how to do it for free. Just get a data cable and download til your heart's content Here are step by step instructions that work on my 6100. They can probably be modified for other Verizon phones.

Are all 24 hour Walmarts open before the 5-11 early bird?

Our Super WM is open 24 hrs. I called & asked if they closed on Thanksgiving evening & the operator said no, the only day they close is Christmas day :) -
The long layaway lines on BF are due to people putting early bird sale items into layaway so they can get the BF sale price and then get it out sometime before Christmas. If it is placed in layaway today, then you'll have to get the layaway out on BF (the register will then adjust the price to the BF sale price), because if you don't the price will go back to the regular amount. This is according to my store, so check the policies at your store 1st since they could vary.

I put several of the Cabbage Patch babies & an UNO attack in layaway yesterday. I was looking for the Little People sets too, but didn't find any. The csr said that if I took it out on a day it's on sale, the register would automatically ring up the sale price. BTW, it's 10% down at Walmart.

Same for my 3 1/2 yr old DS. He circled nearly every toy in the JCP catalog.

There isn't a BB here (closest one is 1.5 hrs away) so it's really easy to get the bucks here since most people just pitch them. I'm not shy about asking for them if I see people are going to throw them in the trash! Probably 1/4 of mine are $3 bucks so those add up quickly. We go to McD's once or twice a week (especially with the free food game pieces) and I usually get $20-$30 each trip :)

I believe those are stores on military bases.

Have $300 here too & am anxiously awaiting the ad! Hoping to see a great laptop deal
-
I hope to get several of the little crock pots. I'd like to use them on the Christmas buffet to keep veggies hot.
-
Same here. Gottadeal was highlighted at the top of Google's page as a sponsored link.

Wrapped boxes with bows & lots of ribbon :)

I've done layaways before too, but say you checked out the Walmart BF ad here & went ahead and put the stuff from the list in layaway at today's prices. If you went in on BF and cancelled it, do you think they'd let you ring it all up again at the doorbuster prices?
-
Hmmm... never thought about that. I don't think I'd chance it at Walmart. Not sure what excuse they would give for not re-ringing it, but I'm sure they'd come up with one. I'd like to see the look on the layaway attendant's face though. Here you are on BF with a cart full of doorbusters that have been in layaway for a month
-
Doesn't bother me at all. I'd hate to think I only had a 24 hours to plan my attack! I need time to prepare

Works this way here too

Dh says "You have at it!" He & DS (3) stay home together and decorate the house. It's nice to shop all day & then come home to your house full of Christmas
