  1. Gladiators Avatar! Cleveland Rocks!
  2. Friday is a holiday for us!
  3. Every year someone at my BB store black friday line starts a list of who is in line to maintain the order. Usually its someone around 15th to 20th in line because they fear people will cut close to opening time. I guess it would be dificult to really police that being back 20 people. However, every year the manager comes out an hour before the tickets and says, 'I don't care what list you generated, the line is what it is and we will be handing out the tickets in about n hour.' I guess I see his point. If you have a list of 25 people you have potentially ten times that of people who could protest it. My BB store manager has been there at least three years now. I plan on talking to him a few weeks before BF to ask him if he will handle it the same way and offer him my humble opinion about it. GeneralMario - Curious what BB you were at that did the same thing as mine. Are you in NE Ohio?
  4. My BB near Cleveland last year had one catch with the ticket system. When they came down the line they did not ttell you what tickets they had, you had to tell them what you were there for. Really a stupid twist as I had about 6 ticket items I ws going for and had to cal off each item to each sales person very frantically. I was first in line, but one rep still managed to slip by me with the camera ticket I needed. Good thing I heard a person 4 or 5 down in line say camera and reeived teh ticket. i was able tocall the rep back before they moved on and gave them all away. Looking forward already to this year!
  5. What a deal - Thanks for posting. I just signed up!
  6. Hot topic! For me, I plan on standing in line a long, long time. I did last year and I will again this year. Heck, I'm already packed and ready to go, but... patience grasshopper. Last year I was 20th in line at BB. I got everything I wanted. If I took extra tickets I had no intention of buying then perhaps the person - oh say 30th in line that arrived maybe 30 minutes after I did Thanksgiving evening would not get the item they stood in line for a long, long time (minus 30 minutes). What would I gain? 20,30 50,100 bucks? What do they lose? Alot of time for some guy 10 places in front of them to score a small profit. That is just not right. I stand in line for family, friends, and myself. I can only assume the person behind me does the same. Tim
  7. At my BB last year the police stated they would arrest anyone caught doing this. They said it was scalping which is illegal. So for my city it is not a question of ethics and if it is right or wrong. It is just plain illegal.
  8. I plan around 4 AM or so. Certainly after I have all the tickets I came for. I will de-layer my warm clothes at the same time. Are you considering one? Good Luck Tim
  9. I arrived at BB last year at 6 PM and scored all the door busters I came for. Good Luck to you
  10. BTW - Go Steelers!! Not sure how we dropped that game Sunday ?? Now Monday...
  11. "As of December 2nd, 2007 Reward Zone program Points will be earned on Gift Card purchase but not on Gift Card redemption." I believe I will be OK for Black Friday. Anyway, the big benefit was from the purchase of these cards thru the local super market. The fuel saved is $207. Only getting ~$45 with reward zone. Hey - I didn't realize until tonite about the holiday special with reward zone. I selected the $15 offer for $500 spent. If anyone is not aware of this - go to myrewardzone.com and read up. I agree about the instant savings price may be somewhat inflated. The Toshiba laptop is by no means a $619 laptop with the printer. Tim
  12. The Breakdown: • 13 items for a total of $1, 727.48 with tax. • $1,725 worth of gift cards from a local super market gives $6.90 in fuel perks or $207 worth of free gas. • The 13 items represent an instant savings from Best Buy of $2,318.35 including tax. • I will receive $47.52 in Reward Zone Points from Best Buy for the purchases. • With the free fuel & reward zone, total savings is $2,572.87. • The 13 items are intended for 10 different people – 7 family and 3 friends. • Items I personally will purchase as gifts will save me $924.95 (including fuel perks & reward zone from the total purchase). Is it worth it? I get to sit back, watch movies, listen to music, chat with people, and get some new gadgets for me and some close friends! I am ready to roll! Tim
  13. Wish you lived in NE Ohio! Have fun! :) Tim
  14. No need for stakes - just place some weight inside the tent - unless it is really windy it will be secure enough. By 'weight' I mean an air mattress, some blankets, and yourself! My tent is just a small 2 person - there are two poles that criss cross and form the 'dome' - completely self supporting/standing. I plan on putting down a moving blanket on the concrete and then the tent. Might be a bit warmer. Tim
  15. Thanks. This is what I was figuring. Tim
  16. Can anyone confirm that the Toshiba Satellite A135-S7403 Laptop is the same as the A135-S7404 in regards to the memory type? I can not find S7403 detailed specs, only 7404. I have two sticks of PC2 5300 512mb that I was hoping to use to upgrade. Thanks, Tim
  17. Brilliant! I had not thought of that. I wil lhave to see how late I could order - midnight would be great. Hoping DW will bring me a turkey plate around 6 PM on her way home from her parents! Midnight would be anice time for pizza!! Tim
  18. Set me straight if I don't have these facts correct... What I was looking for that the LE has: Turn by Turn Voice Prompts US and Canada Maps Free Map Upgrades for life Some Cons (not so negative though on some): 3.5" Screen 2 hour battery life No AC charger included No text-to-speech At $119 how can I go wrong with this? I read some things about the satellite system and some issues there, but a buddy has the 3rd edition and he said it works great. Respond or PM me if I am missing something about this basic unit. Thanks, Tim
  19. I had folks in front and behind me with tents last year and I was kicking myself for not bringing mine. This year I am, along with a small propane heater. I can setup my tent in about 10 minutes and tear down in 5. I don't think I will sleep, but a break from the cold will be nice. Tim
  20. Coleman has some small propane heaters that are safe for tents. I am using one like this; http://cgi.ebay.com/Coleman-Quadcat-Propane-Catalytic-Heater-golf-cart-WA_W0QQitemZ300171495256QQihZ020QQcategoryZ16039QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Stay Warm! Tim
  21. It is suppose to be 30 with snow showers here in Cleveland so my tent and heater will come in handy! Tim
  22. Taking a tent this year with a small heater. I will alternate taking breaks from the cold in there - don't think I will sleep. I have plenty of electronics to keep me entertained. Movies, TV shows, and music. Tim
  23. Last year I had the people in front and behind me in line with tents. So this year I am taking mine too! Also will have a camp chair, portable DVD player, my Archos media player (will alternate w/DVD for charge cycles in the vehicle), BB ad, magazines, thermos, and cash. Planning on about a 17 hour campout so I will have the porta pottie in my vehicle and some snacks for the duration. Tim
