I've been going to TRU for the last 4-5 years and I never have a problem getting in and out. In my area they open @ 5; I am usually there no later then 3:30. I have my list and I stick to it; I go through get what I want and I am out of there no later than 5:30 to get get in line for Target's 6:00 opening.

1. Target had the best ad for me. Clothes, electronics, dvd's/video games, etc. And Black Friday runs the smoothest there out of all the stores I shop at. 2. My #1 piece of advice would be to get registered at gottadeal and to go back and read the archives from previous Black Friday's. Reading these boards is really all the preparation one needs. 3. Stores can offer incentives to get me to shop there; bundles on electronics and video games, free things with purchases over a certain amount, and if stores would hand out a map and give you an idea of how many they had in each item. Then I would know where I needed to be and if I knew I couldn't get a certain item then I wouldn't miss out on other items while trying to get it. That would be helpful for me b/c I usually do Black Friday alone now.

I figure we will be spending pretty much the same as years past. No major financial changes or anything has happened.

Black Friday used to be a paid holiday but the state took it away. I take it off regardless though.

I have a general idea of things I want to get; hopefully a laptop, 2 lcd's for the kids bedrooms; video games and toys for ds who turns 2 next month.

Actually, the Arcade version does come with a wireless controller now. I had to get another one this past summer after my son cord went bad and I was pleasantly surprised to see the wireless controller. Worked out well for me b/c he wanted anotehr one and after paying $50 last Xmas for 1, I did not want to have to do it again.

I am also blessed wiht a loving fiance... I live in New Jersey and work in law enforcement.. Been doing Black Friday for 4 years now and I am addicted to it now. I love the rush of it as well as the deals that I am able to get.
