So….do you think that BF is a good time to buy iPads? With the new versions coming out, will there be a price drop on the older ones and will that matter on BF? Or do I wait until after BF sales and see how this plays out? Help me out here, guys! I need two of them this year!

My husband always goes with me. Maybe it's a bit strange, but it's the one day/night of the year that we can be together just us (and a million other people) and spend some crazy fun moments together. We always stop for coffee first and then hit the lines. It sounds nuts, but we work opposite shifts and don't get much time together without the kids around so we'll take it!

Maybe I'm alone here, but I'm horrible at sticking to a budget (especially during huge sales) so I carry most of what I'm spending in cash. I have never tried a pre-paid card but that is a good suggestion for someone like me. Maybe I will check into it for this year. Carrying cash is always a concern for me but it's a risk that I have always taken.

We've done horseback riding lessons for our dd and engineering camp for our ds. We also did a trip two years ago instead of individual gifts. We haven't had any toy requests in several years now so we're getting more creative. This year, for dd who is now 16, it will be dj equipment since she is taking a class at school and loves it and for ds, who is 13, it will be expensive inking and drawing supplies to help out with his portfolio for high school. I think sometimes it's not about quantity but quality for older kids. They appreciate when you notice something that means a lot to them and would really like to get a gift related to that interest if possible.

I think the Bluebird thing is like their reloadable money card…like a Walmart checking account. I'm not sure it's worth the trouble if the alternative option is a gift card. Much easier and less invasive. http://www.walmart.com/cp/Bluebird/1099170

It's the only time during the year that I actually buy our newspaper. Otherwise, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is a basically a bunch of junk! Just my opinion, of course.

My son was 4 and he's 13 now so….9 years? I haven't missed a year yet!

I'm just jealous of all of you that don't live in WI. Thanks to our minimum mark-up law, most stores never sell anything at 90% off and we always pay more for everything compared to other states. So, most of our stores are still st 50% and won't go much farther than that. :/

I decided to wrap everything early and stuck it under the tree over the weekend. The kids are dying of anticipation. Especially ds12...who is convinced that his sister got all of the good stuff because all of the big boxes are for her. He doesn't know that we got him a drum kit that's too big to wrap so tomorrow morning it will be all set up next to the tree just for him! And I'm saving one box for dd15 from the Coach store (they put it in such a nice box so I'm leaving it unwrapped) for tomorrow so she will get an extra surprise also. I just love to see everyone be happy with what I got them. That's my own personal favorite Christmas present each year.

I think there might be some delays in shipping because of the huge winter storm. I saw something on the news about it being 1000 miles wide and that so many areas are being affected all at once. It just moved through here, leaving us about 6 inches of snow over the last two days. Hope everyone gets their packages soon!

I always forget about things for the stockings. Then I end up sticking random things from around the house in them. I've done fruit, juice boxes, leftover Halloween candy, loose change, extra pairs of magic gloves, pencils, balloons, trial size shampoos and deodorants, even little bags of chips. It's pretty hilarious but everyone gets a good laugh at what I come up with!

SS gift sent tonight. Should be there by Thursday. I didn't wrap but I did put a note on the outside of my box that it's not wrapped inside and to wait until Christmas for it to be a surprise! I apologize to my ss for the late shipping...I didn't forget you, I promise. Just a little too much going on. I really do hope that you enjoy (and get a lot of use out of) your gift! We have no decorations either. I've barely shopped at all. I have so much going on with the health issues I'm facing, I just can't do it this year. I have no energy and no money. So much time off of work for doctor appointments and the fact that now I will be out of work for a substantial amount of time for treatment isn't making this season look very bright. I am so sad about everything and overwhelmed with this holiday. My kids don't know about all of the health stuff yet either so I'm even more upset about not giving them a decent Christmas before they find out about it. As my ds12 would say, this Christmas is going to be a fail. It does make me feel a little better to finally admit all of this stuff though, honestly.

I want to say a huge thank you to my ss! I left my oncology surgeon's office today, had a major anxiety attack in my car and sat in my driveway crying for about 20 minutes. My neighbors probably think I'm nuts. But my gift was waiting at the door for me and I'm so grateful to you for the card, bbw mini candles, the coconut lime bbw items, the gifts for my kitties, and the candy. You made my day today and I love everything that you sent! And my kitties love their gift too, especially the crinkle balls (their favorites!). Thank you again, I really needed something good to happen today.

I will be completing shopping this weekend and should be ready to ship Monday!

I stopped by Wal-Mart on Saturday. This isn't usually one I shop at...super busy, disorganized, and much closer to my work than my house. There was a bunch of stuff leftover but the thing that really caught my attention was the mile long return line and the mountains of stuff that has been returned. It was amazing! Probably could have found just about everything that was on sale in all of those carts of returns. Might have to go back and look after work this week.

Nvm...had to cancel order. Almost had that PS3 though.
