I agree... I hope stores will follow suit and allow there employees time off to spend with there family. Opening early morning on black friday is the way to go. I refuse to put a deal before my family. The main reason I go out is for them so to skip out on family time would be counter productive to the very thing I claim to be " FAMILY MAN ". I prefer to cut back and pay regular price than for one of my DD to tell me 10 years later I wish you was there when....instead of at a store. Just my thoughts

They have some sort of sale but not like a lot of the major stores. One year they had a sale from like 11:30 - 5am. They closed and reopened at 8am with a different sale like 30 % off or something. Something is better than nothing, especially when it is what you know they will like.

No, I buy small things but I do get a list. I make them sit down and write it when the first toy books start coming out and they can add to it up until Thanksgiving. Now that they have gotten older ( well 2 of them ) They want things that is hard for me to spell like ( APPLE, CAR, ETC ) but a list is good so that you know exactly what they want.

It started for me about 18 years ago. My niece was just born and my brother and I always tried to out do each other when it came to gifts. Since this was our only niece and only child in the family at that time it was a big deal watching her open her gifts. (I only remebered this story when someone posted KB Toys) My budget was tight as I was still in school, but they had this Minnie Mouse ride on car for like $35 and I knew she would love it. So I went and sat in line to make sure I got it at that price because normally it was over $100 back then and I have not stopped since. I think it had more to do with the smile on her face when she opened it that keeps pushing me every year which has transcended to my children. I love seeing them get something they really wanted that I otherwise could not have afforded. So as I prepare my war paint and game plan for this year I always look at the CHRISTmas pictures from years before and get pumped up for the current deals I am about to get. GO GOTTADEAL!!!!!

There are several things that may be hot. I think with the new evolution of the 3D Headsets that there will be a few things to go with that. Robotics and educational type toys. I am hoping for a few surprises this year. Not getting my hopes up but fingers are cross for a refreshing Black Friday and NOT THURSDAY
