I am going to Meijer's on Thanksgiving. Camping out at Best Buy. Harbor Freight for one item. Finally, Ace Hardware to see if there is anything left.

Yes, my family, my friends and my co-workers. But I don't care as I will be the one getting the great deals!

I am going to Best Buy. I am getting a ticket for a desktop. I am having my son go with me. I am the person in line. He will relieve me every once in a while. In Michigan, it could be 40 degrees or it could be -10 degrees. If it is very cold out, I plan to warm up a couple of times. At first I did not plan to have my son go in the store with me. But I see a few other things that I want to get also. He will not be getting any of the tickets. If it is not too cold out, then I will have him wait in line with me the whole time so that he can go in the store. If it is very very cold, I will switch off with him a few times to warm up, but then I won't have him go in the store since he will not be in line the whole time. This seems like a fair way to do it. At first I planned on having him grab the other stuff while I wait inside for my computer. But after reading all these posts, I don't think that would be fair unless he actually waited in line with me the whole time.

Thanks CrayzMama80! I will definitely be picking some up. My boyfriend can split the box with me since he will be hunting!

This might be a stupid question, but does the emachines computer for 189 at BestBuy have software on it? Like Windows XP? It doesn't say and my friend said maybe I should make sure.

It looks to me like you get $200 in-store credit if you sign up for a year of Vonage. Doesn't specify that it has to be used on the computers. Good deal, but I am still going to BB.

I have never sat all night for BF either. This year I am doing it for a desktop which does have a ticket. So, I will be there quite early on Thanksgiving day. The things that you want are going to be first come, first grab. If you are too far back in line, you might not get inside before some of the things you want are gone. It is up to you if you want to stand all night, but I wouldn't put too much faith in getting there in the early morning hours and getting everything you want. Just my opinion though.

Is the 90 amp flux welder on the front page a good deal at $90? Anybody?

There's a 512MB ATI card for $99. I was thinking that it would be a good idea to get that to go in the $189 desktop.

From what I have read on here, the line to get the big ticket items still gets quite long inside the store. I plan to stay in line even after I get the ticket so that I can be one of the first in line inside the store. The only thing I would be afraid of by getting out of line, is not being able to get to the counter before the doorbuster sale is over. I don't know if they will honor the ticket if it is after 12. I am really hoping I will be first in line. Anyone else live in the Thumb area of Michigan and gone to Flint or Saginaw or Port Huron? I have no idea of what time people start to line up at BB in this area.

I went yesterday and noticed they still had some of the DVD/VCR players. I didn't have enough to get 2 like I wanted, so on a whim I went to the layaway department and they are still accepting layaways until 11/19 that have to be out by 12/6. Yay!! So, I got those, a couple of hot wheels radar guns that were listed in the ad at $30 and were marked in the store for $20 and put it all in layaway. I really wish they weren't doing away with it.

I went to Walmart today and the radar gun that is in the paper for 29.97 is marked $20. I had to go to walmart.com and look at the ad for my store to make sure I saw it right! And it is on the ad for KBToys for 19.99. I'll consider that a great pre-BF deal!!

Wow, it seems that you either love them or hate them. I sometimes buy them if I'm in a pinch for a cheaper gift. I do like to get them myself. The only ones I have ever gotten as a gift had the popcorn in bags and I like to reuse the tin - one has Christmas ornaments in it, another has gloves, mittens and hats.

I think any sites that post BF ads in advance of their normal release probably have an effect. I would assume that retailers are keeping a better watch on who gets the ads. I also wondered, do the administrators at this site call the companies to make sure that the ad is valid before posting. And if so what if the company says "WAIT, WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH THAT AD ALREADY?" Does it still get posted?

If they are capable, I would have to charge them something. Also, I would not do it for a bunch of people, only a couple. I wouldn't want to hog everything from the people in line behind me.

I am about half done. With all the great deals coming out I find myself picking stuff up and will only have a few things left on my list by BF. I wish the ads would come out and then I would hold off for whatever I see that I need. The only thing I have on my list so far for BF is a computer for myself!

The Hot Wheels Radar Gun they have listed for 19.99 on BF is at Walmart right now for $20. Edit: Also, isn't the Nintendo DS Lite already priced at $129.99. Are they just putting it in their ad so we know they have it?
