I hope your older ones don't come across this forum, LOL. I am pretty sure my teenager tears up the house looking for presents everytime I leave. She always has this crazy smile on her face and pushes me out the door.

Last year, I got the xbox 360 w/ kinect for $199 online Thanksgiving Day. I knew I wouldn't have a chance in stores so I didn't even try. I think that I missed out on a gift card, but the price was still great. I did the majority of my bf shopping online last year and it worked out way better than fighting the crowds.

You might want to call and check to see if they have it before you drive so far. I'm on the fence on whether I should use layaway because I'm scared what I put on layaway will go on sale. Will they price match what you already have on layaway to a competitors ad?

I wish they had them stocked in my Walmart store I would have loved to put them on layaway. I'm wondering when they will have the accessories in stores, specifically the bumpers. my two kids can't have the same exact color anything without fighting.

I just bought two of the nabi 2 tablets for my kids (ages 5 & 6) from walmart.com. They are not showing in the stores yet, only Walmart, Amazon and the Nabi site have them for sale on their websites. I opened up one of them and played around with it, it is very cool and very kid friendly. There are two modes the mommy mode you can do everything and the kids when they go to surf the web they can only go where you allow them to, there are a list of approved websites if you click on the "web" and you can add more websites for them. It comes with tons of apps and you can add more. It is extremely durable and cute. It comes with a red bumper, but you can buy different colors. Also I noticed it was very fast. I hear they will have more accessories coming out soon including a keyboard. If you are interested in this one, I would not wait for the price to drop, I think it will be sold out and hard to find the closer you get to Christmas, but that's just my opinion. Hope this helps.

Last year I think they allowed you to add to your layaway, wonder if they will be doing that again. I would hate to have to create another layaway just to add something, especially with the fees.

I don't know about a store bought dollhouse, but for two of my girls I made them ones out of bookcases. I just went to WM and got the lil cheap bookcases, 3 shelf or 5 shelf depending on how many rooms you want and I went to Hobby Lobby and got scrapbook paper to put on the insides (walls) after assembled and used felt for the carpet. You can use scrap fabric to make rugs and buy the Barbie furniture sets and decorate how you want it. The kids get a kick out of it especially when you let them pick out the "wallpaper" and "flooring". Just a thought.

I price matched the BB video games at Walmart after BB messed up my order. It was the buy 2, get 1 free sale. Luckily I printed out a copy of their price match policy from their website because the manager told me no they don't price match buy 1, get 1 free items. So, fyi: print out and keep store policies in your purse, so you can whip it out when needed, they can't dispute that, esp. WM's policies.

It seems to be very unfortunate for my niece that her birthday falls on December 30th because all of the toys that she wants are gone. I can't even give her a gift card (online or in-store) because all of the inventory seems to be wiped out. How long does it take for retailers to bounce back? I'm not even talking about the hot items, they seemed to be wiped out of everything. I know the stores get trucks in weekly, although not necessarily toys. But how does that work with online items?

I could have shippd my items also, but I had to wait a week for the refund of the cancelled items. By then it would be out of stock.

When I went yesterday, WM and Target didn't have theirs marked down yet. Wonder what they are waiting on. I would have expected WM to deeply discount the ones online like Target did the week before Christmas (under $5) and free shipping. Although that's a long story on that one.

I don't have a Kmart anywhere near me, but I do like their online store. Maybe they should close all stores and just do that instead.

Of the four things that I tried to purchase this holiday season from Walmart.com site to store (same day pickup) all of them were a failure. I tried to do the same day site to store pickup and it confirmed all orders and then cancelled them after an hour saying they weren't available in the store. Wouldn't it make sense for them to confirm availability in the store when I place the order in the first place? Then you have to wait a week for them to refund you. I would understand if this only happened one time, but every one of my orders, something is wrong. BTW: I have never had a problem with the regular site to store, but the same day site to store has never worked for me. Anyone else had this problem?

So I am in the same situation as others, they damaged some gift sets that I ordered during shipping so they shipped back to themselves and since I paid with paypal they sent me an e-gift card. I was pissed for my inconvenience you should send an e-gift card on top of my refund. What am I going to do with an e-gift card your shipping is outrageous and the process to convert the e-gift card to something you can use in stores is ridiculous. So I am on the phone with paypal to open up a dispute. I will not be shopping with Target.com anymore they're right there with Best Buy with the horrible customer service.

I think if you just go into BB to buy something you're fine. It's when you deal with their online system and have to call CS after they screw up the order. That's why I'm saying I will never order anything online from BB again. Honestly I've had the same problem with WM with their same day site to store also. Because they don't update their stock. Every time I've ordered using their same day site to store, I've received an email saying we're sorry item is not in stock and it's been cancelled. The problem with them cancelling your order is you have to wait so long to receive a refund. Everyone keeps saying "We don't charge until we ship" but if my bank account deducted those funds and put "pending" on it, then it is a charge because I don't have access to those funds for the next 3-4 business days. Therefore, I can't replace the item that has been cancelled. So I think next Christmas as easy as it was to shop online for some retailers, (ie. Amazon and Toys R Us didn't have any shipping problems) I might have to rethink that concept and actually shop in stores. The stores this year they pushed online sales so much, but their CS just wasn't adequate enough. They need to actually think about what the company policy should be when they screw up people's orders and how to right those wrongs because an email apologizing is just not enough.

For me, BB charged as soon as I placed the order, even with one of the games being a backorder.

Okay here's an update: Waited on phone for an hour and a half then got disconnected. Called again, waited 22 minutes got sent to a mailbox that was full. (i'm sure of profanities from other customers BB screwed over.) Went to best buy store, actually thinking that would make a difference. It didn't. Waiting in line for 20 minutes, only to be told to call Best Buy on phone (already did that). So they said the only thing they could do was cancel the order. Fine at that point I felt like I was being tortured and wanted it all to end. So from that order I had two items available for pickup. She said she couldn't cancel the orders until I picked them up. Again fine. Whatever. So I get the order and then she tells me that I have to wait two hours for the system to process any refunds. Are you kidding me? Did you not know that before you told me to just cancel the orders. So another associate comes by (nice lady) and offers to keep merchandise and refund at midnight tonight when they're closing. Because I should now trust BB to do what they're supposed to do. Anyway, after BB I went to Walmart (with a copy of their price match guarantee) and bought the video games in their store. If you decide to do this, make sure you print out from the WM website their price guarantee which states about BOGO because she did try to say that they don't price match BOGO. I have been on hold for over an hour now. Why? I ordered xbox kinect games with the buy 2 get 1 free promotion that they have and changed my mind on one of the games. So I called them them to see if I could swap out games and was told okay, no problem. She canceled one of the games (Disneyland Adventures) and ordered Kinectimals instead. On the website under the order the price was zeroed out so I thought it was going to be free. Next day, they charged my account $26.80. I called and they told me there was nothing that they could do because she had made Kinectimals a separate order from the other two and therefore I didn't qualify for the promotion. What the....? Really. Really, Best Buy. Maybe I should stick with the actual store instead of ordering anything from them online. I have 3 open orders with them, I should probably cancel them all.

Ditto on the dissapointment from amazon. I really didn't do any toy shopping with them, but they were good for movies and video games. Toys R Us got a lot of my online business using shoprunner (free ship, no minimum). I kept waiting for Amazon to price match toys that were on sale from other sites, but they never did. I'm done now, so I might be a little mad if they started having good deals with such short notice.
