Well, for me, regardless of their ad not being overly exciting, I am proud of them for not caving with the open Thanksgiving Day like other stores... there should always be time for family, no matter where you work or what you make!

(Great stocking stuffers! I ordered these to put in stockings we do at work for a charity- I usually make mine for a 'teenager' aged child as I figure a lot of people give toys and such) There was a pretty big variety of items- haircare, makeup, bath, nails, lip balm, skin care, etc.

After some technical difficulties, was finally able to order the Asus tablet- $99 plus tax after the coupon. It says it can run pretty much everything the other big name brand tablets can run... Now to decide if my hubby would like it or my college-age son? I figure either way, too good of a price to pass up, no waiting in lines, and if i can't figure out who to give it to I can always return it! (and I do know about the 14 day return policy for technology items, but 2 weeks should hopefully be enough time to figure it out)

Some of our patio stuff had signs that said 50% off, but the stickers on the "backpack chairs" were actually marked to 70% off

I had signed up for the monthly plan a few months back and am still on it- maybe they just discontinued it for new sign-ups?

I went to use the 10 off 25 coupon last weekend and I was super disappointed with the clothes they had- I guess I am getting old and not in fashion anymore, and that is just fine with me!

Our store that is closing had an extra 70% off items marked clearance today (not everything had signs, and the price checkers gave the sticker price, the cashiers manually rang in the 70% off). They are down to mostly nonclearance items left- not sure if more stuff will be clearanced? One of the cashiers sounded like they think it will be "black friday-like madness" close to final closing time? Not sure if I should go or not!

s We started out going to garage sales and randomly saw some estate sale signs. In our area we have a paper the "Thrifty Nickel" that you can pick up for free at gas stations and places like that and they have listings. We have looked on craigslist also, have found some good ones that way. We have happened upon a couple just by chance by spotting signs they had out also. It does really depend on who is handling the estate sale a lot of the time- some companies are good, some not so good. And we have run into quite a few that werent really estate sales, more like a big yard sale. Oh, we have gone to a couple of bizarre ones that family members obviously were running themselves and they just told you to go through the house- items were in drawers still in bedrooms and everything! (I was kind of weirded out by that one and we left). You might try just doing a google search in your area for estate sales, name of your town and see what it finds- some of the companies in our area post pictures ahead of time so you can see if there is anything you would even be interested in. Has anyone had experience with a store closing? Ours seem to be consolidating down fairly quickly and lots of items are on clearance (lots of bare shelves too, like they are slowly moving things towards the front of the store) Are there items that they move to other stores, or do they clearance everything? And, how big of a clearance percentage do they go to? (Should I hold out, or maybe not so much?) There are several other stores in our area, they are just all farther away (and I dont like them or shop at them nearly as much, they arent even set up the same. This will leave only a WalMart close, and it is a super dirty gross ghetto walmart!)

You might check some estate sales also- after going to a few we really figured out which companies in our area price the best, and our favorite company does everything half price the last sale day (usually a saturday)- or make a deal offers and they are more than fair. I think my favorite thing I have gotten from an estate sale was a queen size down comforter in a duvet cover which i later discovered was ralph lauren and super nice, and it cost $8! TVs probably go more the first day or second maybe, but you can find some great items (always lots of kitchen items too)

very busy at my target, i dont think there will be much left by this weekend. candy was 30% off, other items 50% off. they were still moving some things to the christmas area from other parts in the store- i price checked the target brand kleenex (in reindeer and penguin square boxes) and they were half off so i grabbed a few.

I think a lot of the Neiman Marcus items will be on clearance at my store too (which unfortunately is closing in the spring, very sad). They were just too expensive- I am a Target shopper for a reason, and it is not because I can pay $100 for a dress

Wednesday Kohls online- 2 pairs mens levi's, leather gloves, leather belt, tony hawk young mens sweatshirt, nerf darts, steelers coffee mug. was about $165 after 15% off, had a merchandise credit so paid about $139 out of pocket, plus got $45 kohls cash =) Today: Best Buy- Season 4 Big Bang Theory about 7.50, season 5 big bang theory about 9.50 (after tax, shipped free) Amazon- Dishonored $24.99, dead island $10.00, walking dead season 1 $8.00 Almost forgot- 6pm yesterday- skateboarding knee pads & 1 pair skullcandy headphones, had an extra 15% off code, I think it was less than $25 total
