  1. You're correct, Juanadeal! Every previous year my Walmart has kept the BF prices until the items have sold out... either that, or they've gone cheaper to move the product. My WM has lots of the $7 jackets, $9 pant/tee sets, PlayDoh kitchens for $9, large dolls for $9, um... other stuff too, I'm sure. But, with games, DVDs, video games... basically games and electronics, they went back up. Last year I bought stuff that was a BF deal for another 30-50% off about a week after BF cause they wanted it gone. I'm kind of disapointed that it isn't happening this way again, but that's ok cause I'm *supposed* to be on a budget and not buying unneccesary items just because they're a good deal. Unfortunately, Amazon is making that difficult for me!

    Cookies for Santa

Ooh, pretty, pretty please! And thank you VERY much! My boys are asking me to bake some cookies, so hopefully I'll have all the ingredients!
  3. Best price I've seen is Amazon $49.69 with free shipping and no tax in most states. I don't know what your tax rate is to say how much cheaper this would be for you... based on no tax(but also no Kohl's cash), just the 15% off, the Amazon one is $.46 cheaper. http://www.amazon.com/Fisher-XTREME-Speedway-Frustration-Free-Packaging/dp/B002BWPWDU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1260037296&sr=8-1
  4. I didn't need one... bought our Wii a couple years ago, but either not many people knew about this deal, or Amazon had a LOT of them available for the deal! I figured they would sell out FAST, but time ran out at only 54% claimed. Congrats to everyone that got one for such a GREAT price! If I weren't on a budget this year, I would have bought one for my DS7's room... however, its probably a good thing that I don't have the money for it... if he had a Wii in his room, I'd probably never see him again!
  5. I usually try to help people out by telling them about a deal elsewhere or a deal site like GD, but probably 90% of the time, they look at me with a confused look on their face and say something like, "I'd rather just buy this and be done with it." Then there is me, who will jump through hoops to save $5...
  6. Please note that the price of Cooking Mama has decreased from $15.42 to $15.16 since you placed it in your Shopping Cart. Items in your cart will always reflect the most recent price displayed on their product detail pages. Apparently Amazon is going to spend all their time going up and down a few cents on Cooking Mama instead of having a real sale. :)
  7. Thanks for posting this, angelic! I had managed to get everything that DH was really wanting for Christmas, even though I've been on a budget, except for a new hat for when we ride our ATVs. I got a fox beanie for $7.35 shipped, after using the HOHOHO code! These darn things are usually spendy. I stopped by our local store and they wanted $30+ for their beanies! I've never even heard of this website, but they're located only a few hours from where I live, so hopefully they'll ship Monday and I'll get it on Tuesday. Yea, I'm excited! I hope DH likes it! If not, I guess I just bought myself a new riding beanie!

    Cookies for Santa

This is so funny! In all my years I had no idea that Santa is apparently a functioning alcoholic! I, however, shudder to think what beer and cookies taste like together... I think we'll stick with milk! I might set out some hangover relief remedies for him, though....
  9. Angleyez- Is the Trio still in your cart? They show sold out for me and I didn't think they would hold them, even if its put in your cart at the correct time, if they sold out.
  10. The code triosave takes $10 off of a $25 Trio purchase. :)
  11. Yup, I got this, too! I don't know if the promotional codes are supposed to work like this, though (on pre-lightning prices), but I was really excited about it! I also got the Grinch Sing Your Heart Out and Oh the Places You'll Go board games for $5 each. So my total was $15.99, the price of the Lightning Deal on Trio, and I got the 2 games also! Yea!
  12. Nope, unfortunately, there's nothing that can be done about it because it is listed that the Bakugan may vary. I guess its the price you pay for getting them so cheap. I went and opened the 3 that I have received so far (I was able to buy 3 more last night at the $1.99 price), and I have some dragon looking thing, some scorpion/spider looking thing, and... the girl warrior! LOL! I'll just tell my boys that its an elf... one of my DSs watched LOTR and asked why the girl with white hair sounded like a boy.
  13. COOL! They are still back down to $1.99 each and I was able to buy 3 more today, so I got 6 like I originally wanted! I got my first 3 in today... for some reason they shipped 2 FedEx and 1 UPS. But anyway, I haven't looked at them yet so I have no idea what they are, but my DSs are wanting these from Santa, so I'm happy! Hopefully we didn't get girl warriors, too- LOL, Sassy! Off to look at the rack that jleigh posted about! ETA: What I decided to do is buy one of the $4.99 Bakugan boxes and they can store them in there. $3 less than buying a rack and they'll get a little figure... they probably won't care anything about the figure, but I still saved $3. Yeah, I'm that cheap.
  14. Angleyez- I'm actually wondering, too! Tomorrow was the day last year I started ordering, so I'm not giving up yet, but I have been surprised at all of the lightning deals... especially the toy ones! I was wondering earlier if Amazon is not planning on doing a big sale this year, but they might change their mind late in the game when they see how many toys they are going to have left without the great prices. Although I've bought a lot of stuff this year, its mostly DVDs, video games, misc... not many toys. I'm glad I have Prime and should be able to order up until around the 21st and still get in time for Christmas, just in case this is what happens.
  15. There was probably some temporairy mistake that took the $9.98 off. They probably realized the mistake and have already fixed it, but are honoring the price for any orders that were placed with it.

    Cookies for Santa

Oh my gosh, those sound SOOO good!!! I love orange flavored things and I loves me my oatmeal cookies! I haven't eaten anything since 9 this morning and this thread was the wrong one to read right now. Now I'm wanting snowball cookies, candy cane oreos, sugar cookies, peanut butter kisses, a bloomin onion (even though I have no idea what this is!), and a nice, cold beer!
  17. I know what you mean, DiamondGal! I keep hopping onto the computer every hour or two and checking my cart... things change, but it is by a tiny amount... unless its going up. I've had some things jump up in price by as much as $15. I thought that Amazon sold out and it was another seller, but nope. Just Amazon toying with me! I'm on a fairly tight budget and mostly looking for a few more filler items... nothing in particular I'm really planning on buying, but lots that I would buy for the right price. And the right price is not a penny less! I want DEALS... or make that STEALS!
  18. Santa wraps all the actual gifts he leaves (Santa stuffs stockings here, he doesn't leave anything under the tree- but he tends to go overboard and so there is a pile of gifts below each stocking), but I said some of both because he doesn't wrap the little things he likes to throw in, like candies, bouncy balls, plastic bugs, etc.

    Cookies for Santa

ROFL! Hopefully your house was the only one he got a beer at... don't want Santa too tipsy while climbing on roofs!

    Cookies for Santa

Isn't it strange how Santa likes different cookies better at different houses? :)

    Cookies for Santa

When my oldest DS was 2, I asked him what kind of cookies he wanted to leave for Santa. He decided that Santa would really like the cookies that I had made for our neighbors, and he was right. Christmas morning there was a note from Santa saying that those were his very favorite cookies and he looked forward to eating them again next year. Ever since, at our house, Santa's favorite cookies are Raspberry Jam Thumbprints and Snickerdoodles. We get in and make them Christmas Eve morning (I make the ones for our neighbors, the boys help with the ones for Santa), then we package them up, deliver them to our neighbors with some homemade fudge, and put some aside for Santa, along with milk, egg nog, and veggies for the reindeer. Before we put the cookies out for Santa, we read the story "Are You Grumpy, Santa?" which is REALLY cute... Santa is having a really bad night and is grumpy, but when he gets to a house where there are cookies and milk left for him, his grumpies go away because someone did something nice for him. Do you have any traditions for leaving cookies for Santa?
  22. We do a "repeat" of Thanksgiving. My boys (and this includes DH!) would be crushed if we didn't! Turkey, ham, sweet potato casserole, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, stuffing, cranberry sauce, homemade rolls, pecan & pumpkin pies... Not only do they not get tired of doing the same thing over again (on top of eating leftovers for days after Thanksgiving and Christmas), but they insist that I get in and make Christmas dinner in July every year... then we spend that day watching Christmas DVDs. Its so much fun!
  23. This is now at $4.99! Tempted, but don't really have any use for it, so I'm gonna pass, but hopefully it stays this low until tomorrow when more people will see it!

    St. Nick

How neat! I've never even heard of this before (I live on the west coast and am not Catholic). I'd be tempted to do this for my kids, but I'm sure DS7 would tell everyone at school that Santa came by early (to him, St. Nicholas and Santa are two different names for the same person) and all his friends would think he was crazy... or be upset because St. Nick didn't pay them an early visit, too.
  25. Ooh, anything good? Today is the first day in a couple weeks that I haven't bought anything on Amazon. Oh, wait... I did buy something... But I'm an addict and one fix apparently isn't doing it for me!
