  1. Oh, I completely agree! It is a lame deal... especially because the vast majority of things that I've looked at on the site before normally qualify for the $45 free shipping! Typical Walmart... trying to make their normal pricing seem like a limited time offer!
  2. I think the "deal" is that not everything usually qualifies for the free home shipping with $45+ purchase, but today, everything on their site qualifies... or at least, that's how I took it. I know that I was going to buy some make your own soap kits the other day, but took them out of my already $45+ cart because they didn't qualify for free shipping regardless of the total purchase.

  4. It definitely wasn't just you! The link worked perfectly for me all day, but it wasn't until I switched to Firefox that I could actually purchase anything. Glad you finally got it to work for you, though!!
  5. I'm able to add this to my cart, but I can't actually checkout. It just keeps saying "updating."
  6. Allshoppedout- My experience has been that all of the No Rush packages have been sent to me via FedEx Smart Post, so FedEx delivers them to the Post Office, then the Post Office delivers them to your home. From tracking, it looks like FedEx gives them to the PO one state away from where I live, and the PO does the rest.

  8. I have had mixed results with the "No Rush Delivery." Some things have arrived fairly quickly, and some things have taken longer than I expected. But I've decided to quit using it because I have to go through the hassle of going to the post office and picking the packages up. I spend more than $1 on gas going to the post office, so unless I am getting several packages in at once, it isn't a deal for me. And with the lack of Amazon deals this year, multiple packages at once just isn't happening!

  10. I've gotten 14 buttons total, and out of those I have won 3-$10 certificates and 3-$5 certificates. I used 1 of the $10 certs on a $14 sweater, 1 $10 cert on a $20 sweater, and a $5 one on a $6 shirt. I have a $10 shirt picked out to use my last $10 cert on, and will probably use the last 2 $5 certs on a couple more of the $6 shirts. I'm happy about it because I'm currently losing weight and had gotten to a place where my old tops were too big, but I didn't want to spend very much money on clothes that will only fit for a month or two. $17 for 2 sweaters and 4 shirts is pretty great... plus, I'm hoping I'll win something else when I go in to use my last 3certs (swing by 3 times, get 6 more buttons)!

    JC Penny Opening Gift

I have gotten 6 buttons so far and out of those, 4 have been winners. I have won 1- $10 off a $10 purchase and 3- $5 off a $5 purchase. I'm pretty happy about it! Plus, I think the buttons are really cute! I think I'm going to try to collect as many of them as possible, then I'm going to use them to make a cute ribbon and button wreath.
  12. My hubby, sister, brother-in-law, and cousin all got to WM at about 7pm, and were surprised that we got a parking space easily. We went inside and while there were signs all over the place saying Sale Starts at 8pm, the stuff was not covered. I saw a manager and asked her if we could take what we wanted and then wait for 8 to check out, or if we had to wait until 8 to take anything. She said they were supposed to wait until 8 to take things, but they had basically decided to let everyone load up their carts, then checkout at 8. We made our way to the video games/movies where we got everthing on our list, plus a few extras with no problems what so ever. Then we went and looked at toys where we got two of the Cookie dogs for $15, I got a $29 bike for my niece, and we got some misc. odds and ends. Honestly, there was only one person who even stood out as being rude. Every one else was either neutral or downright friendly, including a lady who practically dove into the bins of towels to get me 3 packs of washcloths. I've never had such a good experience on Black Friday before, and learned that, at least in my relatively small town, when left to our own devices, everyone is pretty great... however, when the stores set things up to pit people against each other (gather around and first to grab it gets it, regardless) things aren't nearly so great! All of us were checked out and back in the car by 8:30!
  13. Here is the most recent part of my chat... you: Actually, this entire situation has just turned into a huge hassle. Can you please just cancel the order for me? Carlos: Yes, that's right! Carlos: I will help you without canceling the order. you: I would like to cancel it, thank you. Carlos: I see that is sell by Sears. you: I have honestly spent an hour and a half on this, and I'm not even sure what I am getting. My order just says Brave, and there is no picture available. I just want to cancel the order and buy it elsewhere. Carlos: I am sorry we do have any information about whether it is Blu ray or not. you: Neither do I, although, when I ordered it, it said Blu Ray. I have to be leaving my house shortly and can't wait to get everything figured out. PLEASE just cancel the order for me!
  14. I hate Kmart.com. Hate. Hate. Hate. Customer service has hung up on me, and now I'm in a chat with someone who takes 20 minutes to respond to me and isn't even answering my questions. GRRR!!!
  15. To get the deal, you would have had to have gotten all three of the games while they were on a Lightning Deal. Each of the Nintendog games were $9.99 and the submarine game was $4.99. If you had gotten all three of them at the same time, there was a double discount, because Amazon is offering the three games for $25. So their system would give you the three games for $25, and then it would take the Lightning Deal discounts off after that, resulting in the $8.XX price. I didn't get the deal... I was on waitlists for all three games, but I could never get the offer for all three of them at the same time. Ah well... I already ordered the sub game at $4.99 yesterday and my DS isn't interested in the others, so I was just planning on putting them in the gift closet (I'd thought about donating them, but figured if the kid has a 3DS, they probably aren't getting Toys 4 Tots or similar).
  16. So far today I picked up LOTR BR for $34.99 (used my $5/$25 promo), and even though I didn't get home until 10:30, I was able to get 3/4 Skylanders (we already have one of them). For all three, I clicked waitlist and they immediately went to my cart, so that was a nice surprise. Now I'm waiting on The Adventures of TinTin BR at 12:20 and the submarine game and Skylanders (presumably) at 1:10, then I think I am done for the day!
  17. I think it's the 360 version, too, which will be okay because we also have an xbox. I'll have to station my step-dad on Amazon while I'm at Walmart and he can call me if he gets it. This game was on the top of my son's list, so I'm going to be bummed if I can't get one for him.
  18. Darn. The preview had both Lego Batman 2 for Wii and Lego Batman 1 for PS3/360, but the only one actually up was Batman 1 and I was wanting to get Batman 2. They have it listed again on Thursday at 9:10pm, but I will be at Walmart then. Hopefully I can get it there!
  19. I received the one I ordered today! Thanks noehlp!! Now I don't have to worry about trying to get one on BF! Just a little FYI, mine was shipped from another store in my state (I'm sure that's why it got here so soon!), but the $15 gaming coupon was stapled to a store receipt in the packaging, not emailed like the website said it would be. Just a heads up for anyone else that might receive their's shipped from a store.. I'd hate for someone to accidently throw their's away!
  20. I'm not sure if I'll go to JC Penny or not. I don't usually, but I might be in the market for a new pair of shoes and some of the boots look pretty cute. However, when I first looked at the ad, I thought the same thing that many people have posted- $15 instead of $18, big whoop! But now that I'm thinking about it a bit, although the discount isn't huge, the regular price is pretty decent, and the sale price is good. I think I prefer a cheaper regular price and less of a discount to a retailer like Kohl's, who jacks the retail price up to something completely rediculous then offers 75% off. I was at Ross the other day and found a shirt with a Kohl's tag still on it... it was a plain, long sleeved women's shirt and the Kohl's tag (not the Ross tag- I know they inflate those sometimes) said $80. I didn't even think it was worth the $14-ish Ross was asking for it.
  21. THANK YOU Angleyez, Deal Grabber, and mom2monkies, SOOOO MUCH!!! My boys are going to be so excited on Christmas morning, thanks to you guys! Angleyez: I'm going to look at the buy 2, get 1 free deal on Amazon, and also Gamestop... thanks for the heads-up! Deal Grabber: Thanks for all the info! I feel better about going with the 4GB after reading your info... and great tip about buying a used hard drive later if we need to upgrade! Mom2monkies: I seriously wish I could hug you right now! I was just about to complete my checkout with Best Buy, when I decided to double check this thread and saw your Amazon post! I am so excited right now!!! I will have a much easier time using a $100 Amazon credit... hopefully I can find some great deals to use it on and get a few more things under the tree. You are all amazing and I really appreciate you all taking the time to help me!
  22. Thanks for your quick response, mom2monkies! I am thinking about the Xbox because the Kinect looks really neat... plus, my step-dad has one and my boys love it. :) I am in a sales-tax free state, so I don't need to worry about sales tax anywhere, thankfully! (Although I don't say that when I pay my property taxes!) Thank you SOO much for the link to the Best Buy deal... that's AWESOME!!! The $100 gift card will pay for a second controller and a game!!! And thanks for the tip about used games on Amazon... I didn't even know they had them!
  23. Hello everyone! I am considering buying my two sons, ages 9 and almost 6, an XBox 360 this year for Christmas. Money is pretty tight, so it's a stretch, but I would rather get them something nice that they will love then buy a bunch of little gifts that they play with a couple times and that's it. I have a couple of questions and would really appreciate any help! First, will the 4GB XBox be sufficient for 2 kids playing mostly the Kinect and Lego games? If we "need" the 250GB, I think it would put the system out of our budget, but I don't want to get a system that isn't "good enough." Second, I see that Amazon and Walmart (tomorrow) are having deals where you get the 4GB, Kinect, and game for $299, plus you get a $50 gift certificate. Should I jump on this deal, or will there likely be a better deal on Black Friday, or closer to Christmas? I know that the deals are typically the same price up front, but then you get a gift card or extras, so I plan on spending the $299, but I would really like to get the most bang for my buck, especially because I won't have the money to buy any of the extras. Thanks in advance for any help!
  24. The Santa Clause! I love them both, but Christmas Vacation already had the honors last year!
