I am so sorry to hear about Queen Elizabeth. A bright spot of sanity in a mad world.
Plus she reminded me so much of my own Grandma.

Ha! I love being an adult and not having to face a new school year. The best thing about Adult Ed is that it is in the evening
I like learning stuff but the only school days I liked were the first day and the last day. But I did have some really good teachers

Feel better soon!Checking in from the sick bay………I made it nearly 2.5 years and while working in the middle of Covid testing before catching it and boom, it hit me like a ton of bricks Saturday, while out of town for the holiday weekend. I needed a vacation from work and my bum foot needed a long rest to recover from a horrible plantar fasciitis “outbreak” but not like this. Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend.
I am hoping to avoid covid next week while working election. Have N95 and bought face shields off eBay yesterday.
Then the new variant is about.....

Checking in for July. Happy to stay home all month and not have to travel. But weather has been weird, HOT and sunny, 2 hours later pouring buckets, then more blazing sun. Repeat next day.
But woodpeckers are busy on peanut feeder and hummers are feeding

Back to June. Huge milkweed patch in my front yard is awaiting monarchs. (Luckily county has no mowing requirements)

Happy April! So ready for all the flowers to bloom, the hummingbirds to make their annual appearance. I’m not ready for the hot weather yet though but our weather has been so rollercoaster-y I wouldn’t be surprised to see hot weather by next week.
Love hummingbirds! Have not put feeders out yet.

Just checking in. Lost a long time friend to a long time illness and it has really set me back. Good, lifelong friends are a gift.

February, that means winter is going to be coming to a end soon =( but at least we get 6 more weeks of winter, just one good snowfall is all I want for where i live at!
Agree!!! I just love snow. I guess that’s what happens when you grow up in the snowy NJ and PA hills.
And we rarely missed school cuz they put chains on our school buses. That’s just wrong
This year all the good snow went north and south of us. My Sis got 12” downstate. Some ppl have all the luck
If there was any way I could have gotten to OC before that blizzard.....
But I will admit, we are running thru some heating oil. Lotsa sweaters though.

I am still at a lost on what to get one of my daughters. She wants the new Iphone but with paying her tuition for college I cant justify that expense. I am running out of time and might just have to bite the bullet.
Bought an SE 2020 (refurb) from tracfone yesterday for $29.00 after discounts. Probably not what she has in mind

Bought a new family computer online at Bestbuy for store pick up. Went late Saturday to pick up. Line was about 50 people with 1 checkout. I cannot stand that long so left. Went back on Monday. Long line with 1 person checking out pick ups. I asked the door guy if they could switch to curb pick up ( was not able to get that originally or change order) Guy said no so I left.
Better luck next month haha

Walmart has a Deco Chef on sale for $169. It makes square cubes. Looks nice! (Mine makes little cup shaped cubes that do melt quicker.)

how much ice can it make at a time
I think ours makes about 2 cups into the tray ( maybe takes an hour? Never timed it) but as long as you keep emptying ice when it is full and you keep the water full, it will run all day. Edit to add -the tank holds at least 3 trays worth of water
but it will be back.
