At the Walmart in my area employees purchased the 40" tv last night at the sale price but this morning the managers made everyone return them so they could sell them to the customers. The managers also went searching and found hidden tv's to sell this morning. They were not letting employees keep them hidden for themselves or buy them before the sale or when they are working.

I will be shopping in Hadley, MA this year.

1. Walmart 2. Black Friday 3. 6 p.m. Thanksgiving
-
Against Thursday opening. I also don't like the staggered sales like Walmart had last year. I don't have time to wait around or go back in 3 hours when something else I may want goes on sale. I don't go out till 11 Thursday night but I live in Massachusetts where we have blue laws and stores can't open until 1 am with a few exceptions that get permission to open at midnight but can't open before that.

Have you ever or Would you ever Camp Out for Black Friday Deals?
tjredsox4 replied to magickallight's topic in 2014
I have never camped out and probably never will. Too cold here in Massachusetts. -
I normally don't buy for myself on Black Friday but this year, I am almost done shopping and have the extra money so if I find something I will buy it.

My daughter is 18 and I think started going shopping on Black Friday when she was a baby. Back then it was actually Black Friday but since I live in Massachusetts where they have blue laws and our stores can't open before 1 a.m with special permission a few do at midnight.

I still like to go through the paper ads even though I have already seen them on this site thanks to Brad, the mods and many others that help out in this busy time. I would pay the price of a Sunday paper for the Thanksgiving paper but not the day before because there isn't anything in there around here except for Kmart which has their Thanksgiving day sale on Wednesday here because of blue laws.

I also like the idea of sweatshirts or sweatpants. I still wear my shirts and could use sweat pants to go with them.

Best place to buy textbooks?
tjredsox4 replied to Stowasser's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
a lot of people are renting now because it is cheaper and you send the book back at the end of the semester. My stepdaughter said barnes and noble has good prices for textbooks. I would check amazon.com, textbooksrus.com, bookbyte.com, chegg.com or do a search by ISBN number good luck. -
