FYI Some stores will have 42" RCA 1080p LCD TV's instead of the Polaroid that is listed. I'd trust RCA over Polaroid.

Most blitz items are not on the floor. However, if you want to match prices with other stores (movies, music, etc) I recommend stashing it in a furniture display.

I wouldn't go to Antioch. That area has a lot of crime. There is a Best Buy in Murfreesboro. It's a smaller BB. Never been to the BB in Franklin, but since it's in a "upper class" area, you may want to go there. You're less likely to get shot.

I don't see how this could be done honestly for this year. Some stores took out their layaway bins and other stores use the old layaway bins for overstock merchandise. If the economy stays the way it is into next year and sales suffer at Wal-Mart this Christmas, who knows about 2009? I have noticed more shoppers at a nearby K-Mart when I go in there. May be due to them having layaway. Who knows?

I bought so many of the Wii points last year my Wii's memory is full. Wii points allow you to download old Nintendo games to your Wii. A broadband internet connection is required.

I was told Wal-Mart would NOT have secret sales this year. However, things change.

I work for the world's largest retailer. I will be at work at 4am. Can't wait. I think it's fun!!!!

Holiday DVD's, books and music is not included in the 50% off sale. Those items can be sent back to the vendor for full credit.

I had the chance to see the secret items list today but didn't look. Can't post anyway, afraid of losing my job. I don't think Wii's are part of the secret sale because we got a shipment today and they sold like gangbusters. Gone in a couple of hours.

I was surprised when I got to work and no one was waiting. I almost jumped on this deal but already have a PS3. Our last PS3 sold later in the day. The family that bought it didn't realize that they were entitled to the 10 free blu ray DVD's. Man, were they ever happy when I told them. I believe the "secret sale" was too much of a secret. Our store was dead most of the day.

FYI Magnavox is made by Funai which also makes Emerson. In my opinion,emerson is junk.

I still have a lot too. One year I used Beanie Baby's to spruce up my gift bags. Hard to imagine the frenzy they caused. I used to collect the Disney Beanies. Finally sold them at a yard sale for .50 each.

I have a plasma TV. I purchased it earlier this year. Already, one of my local station's logo's is burned into the screen. Sometimes, a green line runs down the right side of the screen, vertically. I am going to exchange it for an LCD next year. LCD's don't have burn in issues. Therefore, I will be able to play my video games on it.

This can vary from store to store. We still have some Halloween at my store that's 75% off. Usually by now everything is taken to Claims, marked down, and destroyed.

I think everyone who complains about returns should have to work one day behind the return counter at their favorite retailer. Trust me. It would be a BIG eye opener.

Went to the Disney Outlet in Opry Mills Mall in Nashville, TN yesterday. Lots of items were half off the already reduced price. Got 2 Mickey mugs for $5 that had been $8.50 each. Cashier was giving coupons good for 15% off any purchase in store and online from 11-1 until 11-17.
