First, congratulations on being debt free. It is a great feeling. I had a hard time when my son got married coming up with the best gift. I thought of household items that made my life easier that I had purchased after I had more money. It came down to a good vacuum or nice set of pots and pans. Finally I asked my new daughter in law. She chose the pots and pans. Good luck.

Christmas music now, since someone here on the list reminded me of Pandora. I have also started watching Christmas shows that I have stored on my computer. I travel a LOT, and it just makes me feel a bit more at home to watch Christmas romantic comedies.

1: <customer getting tv> -- "Wow $300, That 18 year old who told me that the price of these would never be below 1000.00 was wrong" (My thoughts the year I got this at WalMart.) 2: <woman with surprised look> --- Why did I let my kids talk me into this?!? 3: <adult> --- Hmm... Wonder what I can offer my son to let me sleep.

I gave him the blanket. This guy had been traveling for longer than he thought. He needed to do his laundry when he came to my house. I came home for lunch to find that he was using my blanket as a toga while he washed his clothes. Somehow, I didn't want the blanket back. Still get all over body shivers thinking about this.

Yankee Candle makes a great Christmas Wreath Candle for the smell of the real tree. Small candles are on a Columbus Day Sale tonight/tomorrow for 5.49.

I am so happy to know I share this love of blankets with others. I was happy when someone used one of my new blankets this year so I can buy some new ones on BF.

50% off. Towels and socks are always purchased on Black Friday. By the time my boys were eight years old they knew not to ask for socks after October, the answer was always the same, "Wait until Thanksgiving."

Towels and candles, Flash Drives, Flash lights (Lowes and HD suck me) I copied and pasted for a lot of people. Every year, the flash drive gets bigger and how can you not buy the biggest and best. I give away flashlights year round. We will always have a new teacher that didn't think to bring one, when I give them a flashlight that I bought for a buck, I have a friend for life.

A great thing about this book is the illustrations. Dorothy has silver slippers on her feet rather than red ones. This is important as it was this way in the book. It was changed in the movie due to red showing up better against the gold(Yellow) brick road. I bought two sets for two libraries I am visiting this week.

I have been shopping on Black Friday for 23 years. The first year my car was run into on the way to an early morning opening (Back then it was 6am). I still picked my mom and sister up and headed to the stores.

One of the best gifts I give is a small led flashlight. These run about $3-$5 and are always appreciated. I stock up on Black Friday for as little as 10 for $10 at Home Depot.

I own Kindle Fires. After helping someone with a regular Kindle last week, I would choose a Kindle Fire. It is more money, but I think it is worth it for people who are used to the touch screen. The woman I was helping kept telling me the touchscreen had worked before. It took me a while to realize it wasn't a touchscreen and use the menus to add a book. I don't think the new Fires will be on sale this year, but a gift card is always a nice addition.

I agree with Kanyon... This could be because I got a tshirt last year, but I requested the wrong size so I need a new one. I do send everyone I can think of here.

I have people at work who think I am crazy, but want me to help them get some stuff. I have my mom who always felt she should watch the grandchildren so I could go shopping, no way she wanted to go. I have a brother in law who will always call about 6:30 am with an emergency that his wife needs to help him with. I also have a group of people that will hang out with me no matter what. They laugh when we meet others from my area while we are shopping. Darla

If you do a tech one on computers, include something about large screen tvs too. They have overrun the market and I forget why I want/don't want different features.
