My problem is that I am already tired and I haven't started shopping yet. It is a lot more work now than when there were two - three stores to go to and that started at 6 am.

It isn't that they are the same company, it is the fact that Sam's Club is a membership club. Most stores won't match the membership clubs.

Because 4am used to be a start time. The stores now would like to keep you there all day long.

I would see if there is anyone listed in the "Where are you from" list from Miami. See if they want to go as a group. Think twice about going to Walmart for sheets and towels. Check out the quality. Penny's has good prices and all towels are 50% off usually. For the lighting fixture, I would look at Home Depot or Lowes, but know that there won't be a run on that type of item, so you should be able to do that a little later in the morning. Clothes depend on what type you need. I buy my hubby jeans from Costco so I will be looking there if they have a deal. For me, I buy pajamas and socks. I have two favorite stores for those so I will get those in the morning. Again, not items that are hot ticket things so I won't worry about being first in line. This will be a family affair with the different opening hours. My sons will get the late night schedule to buy items that aren't a priority but that the savings is good for. While it bugs me not to know the real price, I understand that different places charge differently and this allows them to use the same ad throughout the country.

Problem I see with the blue laws is that they won't block online selling. That is where you will probably see the most backlash from brick and mortar stores.

The plus of the gc from a store you don't normally shop at is the gifts that you give to others in which you don't know what they might want...

What I love about Black Friday is spending the day with friends and helping other shoppers out by telling them how they can save money if they purchase their item at another store or loaning them a flyer so they can price match. I will talk with anyone about saving money.

Ace Hardware is always a place that I hit in the afternoon of Black Friday. I am interested in the Sawzall and the heaters so I may set that up as a male early opening visit. -- The guys will know is they want the sawzall. In the past they have also had a good deal on batteries, I can hope that this will be an unadvertised good buy this year.

This year we will eat about 6 p.m. This is due to a sister that has to work on Thanksgiving morning. I am trying to figure out what we will do for late night openings.

One reason to get a Kindle over a Nook is that many libraries offer ebooks for Kindle from their websites. I checkout two books a week on my Kindle. I checked today to see if the program offered books for Nook, and it doesn't.

I am waiting too. I keep telling myself that we do have some ads, we just don't have ads for my area.

This is my #1 problem with the midnight and earlier time openings. The customers that had been drinking really bothered me.

I love Sears for tools on Black Friday. Second to that is Home Depot. If you buy a DeWalt set that has the saw in it, buy extra batteries that have the black rather than yellow on the bottoms. They hold more power.

I seem to remember KMart having them on sale on Thanksgiving. I learned one year, do not buy the gold colored ones. Other than that they are good.

If the Kindles are attached to one account, they can share the books purchased on that account. It the kids aren't in a Wi-Fi area, they can use the downloaded apps or read a book on the Kindle. I just flew for four hours with my Kindle and finished one book and started a new one. Only catch is that they were downloaded before I left the terminal.

I had to laugh at the article saying that they may try to disrupt things flash mobs, isn't that what we see every black Friday?

I was thinking the same thing.
