  1. yes, enter it under "key code." you will see the discount before you have to submit the order. Also, they take the $10 off before they add shipping, which is nice. If you can order in smaller amounts of $30-35, then after the $10 off your order will drop to below the level to get the lowest shipping which is $4.95. :)
  2. thanks for the heads up that Mia was back in stock at qvc - I missed her the first time but managed to get her just an hour or so before they went out of stock again yesterday! :)
  3. yes, I was actually shocked when my kids, aged 6, 4 and 1 all got interested in Wii Fit right along with me. It is more popular with them than even the really fun regular games, like Mariokart. My little one (20 months) even does the exercises right along with me, which is as adorable as it is distracting. I just need to figure out how to not get her to step onto the board while I am exercising because then this message will pop up saying "your weight is a little different than last time, do you want to continue?" "A little different" is putting it VERY nicely, lol. wow - venusaur - a few hours is all you get on the remotes? I wonder if continuous play of certain types (e.g. games that require lots of buttons to be pushed, etc) wear on them more than the type of games we play. I was very pleasantly surprised at how long we got out of just the starter set of batteries that are included with the remotes. My kids singing toys wear batteries out faster, it seems.... Keep in mind, I did say that we have more than one remote (2) and alternate using them, so if you use the same one all the time, you have to consider that. I will say this - I am all for using rechargeable batteries, but they do tend to lose their efficacy over time, and take shorter and shorter amounts of time to discharge. So keep that in mind... for now we are just using regular alkaline batteries (usually Rayovac) In any case, thank you OP for this great deal alert - seems like a great accessory to have on hand!
  4. no problem - I'm up way too late already anyway! :) I'll just post here so everyone can see. Nintendo ought to pay me for all the nice things I say about Wii Fit. For someone like me who has never been very "active" and hated video games, I'm a believer! Wii Fit is divided into 4 basic categories as far as exercises go. You can also take balance tests and weigh yourself whenever you feel like it (I never feel like it, lol!) You have to design your own routine but this is how I approach it: Balance games: I play about 5 mins of balance games to warm up. They are all so much fun! Skiing, Ski-jump, balance rope, snowboarding, penguin slide, and table tilt to name just a few. My favorite is the table tilt, hands down. Just like those games where you have to get marbles into a hole but YOU are the table. :) Aerobics: This is where I need to spend the most time burning calories so I do at least 30-35 minutes here. The aerobic options are Rhythm Boxing, Step Class (my fave), Running, Hula Hoops. There are variations and levels of each. Yoga: I usually pick one or two of the many poses to do as a cool down, stretch. They are all the classic poses that you might do in a yoga class. Very neat the way the board measures your balance and form! Strength training: There are again many to choose from but I usually focus on the sit-up ("jackknife") challenge so that I get the most repetitions (up to 100 so far). Very effective to have someone (the virtual trainer) doing it along with me so I keep up and don't get lazy, lol! My only complaint about Wii Fit is that after a while you crave more variety in the aerobics portion. I am getting the Jillian Michaels disc for Christmas but the reviews aren't very good. I just know Nintendo must have a Wii Fit II on the horizon! hth!
  5. I use Wii Fit almost daily and my sons play other games too and so far I have found that regular alkaline AA batteries last pretty long - at least a few weeks or longer. If you have several remotes and can alternate them then that avoids wear and tear on a single remote and spreads out the battery usage too... ...and if you are considering Wii Fit, the balance board battery usage is even more impressive - I used it for about 100 days with the original batteries until it signaled me that they were low!
  6. here you go - credit to noehlp: $10 Off Your Order of $30 Coupon Code: 153302 Ends: Feb 28, 2009 You might want to consider Samantha or Nellie as your first doll purchase. They are retiring both of them very soon and the molds will be discontinued.
  7. on the checkout page, look in the upper right hand corner and it says: "Enter key code or promotional code (optional):" and beneath it is a box. If you are already signed into your account, it sometimes gives a box that says "keycode" instead. hth!
  8. bumping again - Maybe it is my imagination but I think they have reduced some of their sale prices more and there are several combinations of items that can add up to exactly $30....so then your order ends up being $25 including shipping and using the above coupon. I just got some adorable stuff for DD, including a matching Spring Picnic doll/girl outfit, all from clearance. Also, they just added some web only specials on multi-item doll sets for the 8+ dolls, just like QVC has been doing... http://store.americangirl.com/agshop/html/thumbnailComplex.jsf/bcrumb/true/saleGroupId/450/uniqueId/329/nodeId/19/webMenuId/8/LeftMenu/TRUE
  9. It is a fun toy, but it is one of those things that you need a dedicated place to sit it out, so that it gets noticed and played with a lot. The thing about it that cracks up all 3 of my kids (6, 4 and 1) the most is the feature that makes it "fart." They press that button over and over again! Sad, but true. :)
  10. sorry guys! As of last year I was a newbie to these threads and didn't know the abbreviations either. HTH means "hope that helps." hth!
  11. they have had a free shipping code in past years, right around this time, but I don't know of one right now. However, the code for $10 off $30 can be even better, especially if you can break your orders up into amounts of $30-35 so that shipping will end up being only $4.95.. from noehlp: "Here is a new code for when the other one quits working. $10 Off Your Order of $30 Coupon Code: 153302 Ends: Feb 28, 2009 __________________ A house is a home when it shelters the body and comforts the soul. ~Patty~"
  12. DD is not Asian but my oldest is Central American and I know what you mean about trying to find dolls that match your child's look. Do you already have the Corolle Asian dolls? My daughter has 2 of them them and they are really pretty, but I guess they are probably for much younger girls than your DD.. I say write to these companies who don't make Asian dolls and ask - why?
  13. No, you are not crazy - that size in moose is showing OOS for me now too, but was in stock earlier. weird! I hope you get them! If for some reason you don't, or they cancel, try giving their customer service a call. In my experience they are very nice, professional people and will do whatever they can to help you...
  14. sorry! I JUST ordered the moose ones before I posted this and I got 0-6, but I am sure they had the next size up at that time!
  15. I have never seen a way to get the shipping surcharge taken off, unfortunately... Luckily they do seem to have a decent selection of larger toys that for whatever reason, do not have one!
  16. 17. I selected these for the thread title because my kids had the cheaper versions of Robeez, but I still LOVED them! Based on the reviews, I am sure that LLBean's version is high quality. However, there are plenty of other great items on clearance right now to use with the free shipping, and I'll post a few below. Also, if you spend $50, you get a $10 gift card back in the mail... free shipping code: 3004365 (enter under "promotions" tab at checkout) http://www.llbean.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?categoryId=55885&storeId=1&catalogId=1&langId=-1&parentCategory=8389&feat=8389-tn&cat4=7213 Bean Booties was $19.50 now $8.95 in 5 styles and 3 size ranges http://cdni.llbean.com/is/image/wim/244880_23157_41?wid=330&hei=295 http://cdni.llbean.com/is/image/wim/244880_5443_41?wid=330&hei=295
  18. same here - stepper and trampoline cancelled but cycles shipped. Thanks again for the great deal alert regardless!
  19. I know - it's great they don't have a surcharge on it! I know 2 people who have ordered it from kohls now with the 30% and it all worked out fine. It is really cute!
  20. best deal right now on the diner is probably getting it at kohls with the 30% off and free shipping (you need their credit card, though): http://www.kohls.com/kohlsStore/kids/toysactivities/creativeplay/makebelieve/PRD~394548/Step2+50s+Retro+Diner+Play+Set.jsp HOLIDAY30 30% off MVC7935 free shipping
  21. check out the new 18" play dolls from Madame Alexander at ToysRus. They are really adorable and probably are made well since I trust that brand. They were selling them for $24.99 the last time I checked. Probably about 6 different varieties/ethnicities and cute clothing too. :) ETA: yes, here they are, and free shipping right now too. Scroll down to see a few others... http://www.toysrus.com/search/index.jsp?sr=1&kwCatId=&origkw=madame+alexander&s=D-ReviewRating-TRUS&kw=madame+alexander&f=Taxonomy%2FTRUS%2F2254197&view=all http://trus.imageg.net/graphics/product_images/pG01-4841936_alternate1_reg.jpg http://trus.imageg.net/graphics/product_images/pG01-4842200reg.jpg
  22. It has a 300 lb weight limit. hth!
  23. not a thing, really. I've been using mine for 100 days, almost daily and the board has held up just fine without any of those silicone covers they sell for it. It also cleans easily if need be. If you are doing it on a hard floor, rather than a carpet, you'll need a towel or mat of some sort for the laying down yoga and strength training exercises, but you can pick those up anywhere...no need to get an expensive Wii one. They also sell bags for the board and my bundle came with one, but I returned it. I use Wii Fit so often that I just simply slide the board up next to the TV when I am done using it. If you had to travel with the board, you can just put it back into its original box which has a nice carry handle on it... hth!
  24. My Mom ordered these back in September for DS4 and she was very happy with them when they arrived. :)
