  1. DH and I had great experiences in EVERY store we went into!!! GameStop- The SA were amazing and so helpful! They took their time and answered every question without trying to rush us. Another dad was in there and we were pro/con a DSi over a DS XL. Wal-mart, again, SA's were on top of everything. We had another shopper help us look for the cricut expression on sale, we were helping shoppers look for their PJs while they looked for ours(don't know how it worked out that way- but it did, lol). Gymboree- I gave away 2 of my 20% off coupons and the women seemed like it made their day, Toys R Us- we had a shopper find our last lego set we were looking for, another shopper looked like she wanted to cry because she couldn't get anything off the top shelf so DH was helping her get all the things up high for her, and we were all searching the Barbie area for what people were calling out for and they were doing the same. Everyone we saw had smiles on their face and would say "Happy Shopping!". It was a great experience hands down- and I much prefer shopping in Tulsa, OK to LA, CA or Charlotte, NC. lol.
  2. I agree with the pp about the change of hours. With all the new hours and doorbusters starting at 10 pm, or midnight and then having to get other doorbusters at 4 am or 5 am, I don't know if I should go get the first doorbusters- go to other stores and then go back to the same stores again for the second-go-round of doorbusters. I have to get my binder together. I have to get my lists together. All the store hours together. Who has was and for what price(I am EXTREMELY detailed). I look through my binder on my way to Oklahoma on Wednesday. oh! And I won't be at a place with internet access at all starting Wednesday evening, so I can't get last minute updates from this site!!
  3. We always have a cart, but DH or I take turns running off to grab something while the other one stands with with the cart. Usually it's him to get it- because I WILL get sidetrack. So if I forget something, I tell him when he gets back and he runs right back out there. He doesn't mind. lol
  4. yay!!! I have never been to Target on Black Friday before and I believe I will definitely be making a stop there this year! Thanks :)
  5. I can't wait! I have never done the midnight thing- but apparently TRU might be opening up at midnight?? We went 2 years ago and they weren't opening at midnight then, but if they do this year- DH and I might just have to cut back on some sleep to be there when it opens!

    Big Toy Book

    Here you go :) http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?185947-Kmart-Toy-Book-(10-31-11-24)
  7. Mine will go up the 2nd week in Nov. We won't be here for Christmas this year(spending 2 1/2 weeks with the ILs). It's one of the first Christmas's we haven't been back home in about 5 years so I want to put out decorations and enjoy it :)
  8. The only thing I have been doing is saving money :)
  9. I'm hoping to find a good deal on a Nintendo DS(i, 3DS- whatever I find the best deal for). It will be for DS. Also hoping to get some good deals on legos for him too. DD- I don't know about her yet.
  10. I always go to: TRU Gymboree Target Craft Stores(Michaels and Hobby Lobby) Macys The mall if whoever I'm with wants to stop somewhere The first year I went to Kohls and the second year I went to JCPenney. I don't go to the electronic stores b/c we're never in need of anything. The first year my brother and I went into Best Buy when the doors were open for some DVDs that we could find at Target, but the line to check out was unbelievable after 15 minutes of opening and only had 2 or 3 checkouts opened, so we laughed and left. lol
  11. I have no advice, but I am going to be watching this thread. :)
  12. I'm going to Old Navy and Gap tomorrow.
  13. That stinks. I went out this morning to get the paper at the shoppette, but since we are so far away from everything, we don't get "local" papers. Just NY times, LA times, and USA today. oh, and army papers..
  14. We're on an army post far away from everything(the closest shopping city is an hour and 15 min away.) so all I can report on is the PX. And no, nobody is in line yet. lol.
  15. We're a military family too and will get creative this year as well. Last year we all sat in front of the Christmas tree(DH and I are in the pictures too. Not just the kids :) ). This year we're thinking either standing in front of the mountains here, a tank, helicopter, something different.
  16. You could do themed baskets. For instance you could do a movie basket. get a $5-$10 gc to blockbuster, then fill up the basket with popcorn, candy, and a soda. That might be a lot of work to do though. Good luck!
  17. We will be putting up our indoor and outdoor decorations and the tree on Sat(right after BF). My DH helps me with the outside stuff and our tree, but usually leaves inside to me(unless I need him to hang something up for me). A few of our neighbors have their Christmas decorations up and lit up at night. So far I haven't heard any neighbors complain about it. I love seeing it.
  18. This will be our first year being at home for BF, so we don't really have any traditions. I'm thinking though that when we get back from shopping, we'll start to decorate for Christmas and watch movies. :)
  19. I'm a SAHM and the kiddos will have school off, so it really doesn't affect my job. :) DH is in the Army and he gets a 4 day weekend for t-day, so it doesn't affect him either.
