  1. We all spend the day together lounging around the house. Then we get ready go to church and then to my mother's. There we have snacks and fingerfoods. Yummy! Open presents. Have more snacks and fingerfoods. Then we will go home and bake a quick batch of cookies for Santa. We leave carrots and reindeer food outside for the reindeer. Before we go to bed we do our Advent Wreath and read the night before Christmas. Tuck the kids in bed and then DH and I finish wrapping and putting out the gifts from Santa, after someone goes out and sweeps up the reindeer food and leaves pieces of carrots in the yard.
  2. Well right now I spend about 500.00 on DD. She is into clothes and electronic gadgets. Which doesn't buy much. I can usually get by for about 150.00 on DS. Only because his toys are cheaper and it looks like he has just as much as his sister. He hasn't caught on yet.
  3. Nope the spending doesn't start until BF then doesn't stop until Christmas.

    christmas music

My family teases me because I can be found singing Christmas songs in July. Now that I think about it I wonder if they are teasing me because they are Christmas songs or my singing? I usually start listening to Christmas music the weekend after Thanksgiving, when we start putting up our tree. My all time favorite is ....Little Drummer Boy :)
  5. Best Buy and Circuit City. My whole family is into the electronic toys and gadgets.
  6. Of course our cat gets 3 or 4 presents. He is part of the family too. We always have to get a box of catnip. We wrap it and put it under the tree and he can always tell which one is his. Once he manages to get it out from under the tree he will roll around with it in the living room trying to get it open. The kids think this is so funny.
  7. Thanks to this site we know in advance what is on sale on BF, but we still fight over which one of us gets to look at the actually ads first. It's become another BF tradition for us.
  8. That sounds like our house. I do like the BF deals, but it is more fun to sit back and watch his excitement. Especailly if it means saving some money It is usually a race to see who can get to the computer first and check the gottadeal site.
  9. My DH and I go together. Believe it or not I found this site, but he gets into the BF shopping and deals more than me.
  10. When I was a kid we opened ours Christmas Eve and then Santa's gifts Christmas morning. DH's family opened their's Christmas morning. So DH wanted to our family to open ours Christmas morning. We have just started letting them open one gift on Christmas Eve. This works out good for us because we have Church on Christmas Eve. Then we go to my mother's for gifts and snacks. When we get home it is late and everyone is tired by then. Plus they know the later they stay up the later is will be for Santa to come.
  11. Last year when we got snowed in and couldn't get out for 3 days. :) I did miss our usual Christmas with family. This is the first time we have never been running around trying to get everything done and feeling the stress. We got to spend Christmas together, just us four. Which means alot now days. Best Christmas I have had. The kids liked it too since Christmas lasted until after the New Year for us, when we finally got together with everyone.
  12. I wouldn't admit to my DH, but Christmas Vacation. We always watch Christmas Vacation, Christmas Story, It's A Wonderful Life, Christmas Carol, Charlie Brown, and The Grinch. Funny how once you start a tradition it just doesn't seem the same if you don't keep it up.
  13. Never thought I would say this, but I really want to see the Best Buy and Circuit City ads. We are looking for a digital camera for DD.
  14. Once DH and I went to Target the Wednesday before BF and bought some of the items we knew were in their BF ad. Then instead of standing in line on BF we went in later that day and they were happy to give us a price adjustment. It kind of took the fun out of it, but that left us more time to hit the other stores.:)
