  1. Like the secret sales they had in competition with Best Buy?
  2. A couple of good TV deals, others are not so stellar...
  3. I would have to go with the Black and Decker drill set. I still have mine from many years ago!
  4. Walmart absolutely killed it last year. I am actually looking forward to a camp killing ad.
  5. Doesn't it just reinforce what we now know to be that the price of products today give us the biggest bang for our BF buck!
  6. Perhaps we shall see one Disney, one Pixar and one Marvel being offered.
  7. Black Friday is normally the time to camp and shop for the big ticket items. One of my most guilty pleasures is stocking up on all of those great movie sales in different formats. It is not uncommon for me to spend about $200 on average for movies and TV shows since I refrain from buying them (for the most part) knowing the that deals are to be expected each Black Friday. Like clockwork, TV seasons will be found in a chronological order so that you can get the latest season (they know what to sell you if you are a fan) and there always seem to be at least one popular Disney or animation film to draw you in as well. Gottadeal does an excellent job of putting together a chart or spreadsheet to help you compare the various formats, prices and retailers who are offering these movies. What is your most anticipated release for this season? Please discuss your favorite format and do you shop for family members or are your a master collector (hoarder, cough, myself) and do you collect the digital versions as well? With the time-frame of a movie going from movie theater to digital decreasing, which new releases do you think will make it to the ultimate sales list of the season?
  8. Looking forward to this season since I got a very important certification passed and out of the way. Next Sunday will be great.
  9. It is hard to believe that TV was ever $1799, but just look at how long it took for the 75 inch class to fall below $1000 making a purchase even feasible?
  10. Watch the model numbers change for BF.
  11. Walmart has a Qled 4k with Dolbyvision for $498. 65" Vizio.
  12. Groupon has some outstanding deals on memberships right now.
  13. Just passed my Security + certification so that is at least $300 that does not have to go into the reserve. Bring on Black Friday!!!!!!
  14. Just saw that it was a magnolia sale... The $69,000.00 televisions are a real hoot. Even the alleged verified purchasers have some hilarious reviews, go check the one out about the TV or surgery for his mom.
  15. This happens all of the time. Just use a coupon and go the week before, lol.
  16. I remember the super cheap shortcuts the company put into the BF specials. I hope that the mainline offerings are much better. It looks like I will be picking up at least two laptops (I5 minimum) and perhaps a chrome-book. Anyone with any chrome-book experience or absolute horror stories?
  17. #1. The harsh reality sets in that "we are never getting out of here!" #2. Man on left, "Chaaaaarge!!!" Woman on right, "Denied!" #3. "Sorry sir, but I already told you that is a Denny's place-mat, not a golden ticket to a door-buster".
  18. It sounds like you need a server like Plex to stream from the PC. More info may be needed to assist you further.
  19. Apple made a major move. They added the service to the Roku and the fire stick will follow. I am testing the app right now. So far the only limitation is the lack of Dolby-vision capability. It is possible to go the HDR route though.
  20. Looking forward to chat. Can we add in video for Mods/guests?
  21. I would suppose so. It is a rather simple remote and not everyone will like it. I will probably bite on a second Apple TV and then share the account with F&F. You get 5 shares. I have many Roku devices (favorite) and three FTV 4K devices, and just one Apple TV 4K. I do own a HD Homerun Quattro and operate a Plex server. Needless to say, the family is spoiled.
