  1. I went to two different Target stores today and bought quite a few dog chews for 50% off. I also got an outside shade tent for our dog that was $69.xx for $14.98. Got several kids velvet coloring posters with markers for $1.04, Soft and Dri deodorant for $1.44 with a 55 cents off coupon so final cost was 89 cents each, birthday wrapping paper for $1.24, Archer Farms honey BBQ sauce for 87 cents, and durabuild 200 piece tool box with drill was 99.xx for 24.xx. I found two large photo albums that came up 0.00 so got them for $1.00 each. My deal of the day was a 6 foot x 8 foot area rug with the matching throw rug for $25.00. They were on the clearance rack but had no price on them. Manager asked if I would pay $25.00 for both. SURE! Saw several tvs on clearance and lots of tools. They had a lot of the stuffed Backyardigans left for $4.98. Lots of workers were marking down in health and beauty stuff.
  2. I overheard a worker in a S.C. store stating to another worker that she had to go to baby world and start the mark-down. I don't need any baby things but thought I would pass that on for the ones who do need them.
  3. Went out of state today for business and just had to stop at Target:p I got nail polish for .74 and some earrings marked 75% off. I saw the diamond heart pendant that was 239.99 marked down to 59.xx but didn't get it. It was very pretty but couldn't think of anyone to give it to since Mom, daughter and I already have one. I didn't buy any of this but saw ice cream toppings 50% off, stationery still at 30% off, swiffer dusters only 15% off, lots of toys 30-50% off. The blue players with headphones everyone has talked about for $24.98, clearance towels and linens still only 30% off, lots of Choxie candy 50-75% off, and some pet supplies and food marked 30% off. This Target had lots of stuff on clearance but the markdown wasn't very good.
  4. "I am thinking about just putting my phone number on the outside in case I ever do lose it...any suggestions or opinions on that?" __________________ Just to be safe, I would suggest putting a cell phone number or an e-mail address. With a home phone number, people can do reverse searches and find exactly where you live. I would rather be safe than sorry.
  5. I forgot to mention earlier that there were some Uniden cordless phones on clearance. The set had four phones and a digital answering machine. Originally $99.99 but marked down to $69.xx Also lots of toys were marked down. Sorry but I didn't pay a lot of attention because I didn't need toys today. There was a Dora set with a computer game and doll marked 50% off to 4.98.
  6. Thank you everyone for the replies about the Arm & Hammer! It is on clearance for $1.68. I found it on an end cap near the furniture. I only got one last night but told my mom about it and she wanted some also. I went back today and got her two. I was shocked at the price also. I also got today the 300 ounce Tide HE in the dispenser jug for $8.xx. These were half price. Okay so I am a washing detergent dummy. What is the difference in Tide and Tide HE?
  7. Has anybody ever used the Arm and Hammer liquid laundry detergent? I normally use Tide but the Arm and Hammer is so cheap ($1.68 for 100 ounces) for that I might get more if it is as good as Tide. Thanks. Also in my post last night, I put $1.86 but the correct price is $1.68.
  8. The quilted Northern was not red stickered for me. It was right in with the other tissues and no markings. My mom called me and said it rang up at $6.48.
  9. Yes, these were the slightly larger ones that were for video. I also noticed that they were moved out of electronics and onto an end cap between the book section and the computer software. I don't know if all stores will move them there or not.
  10. Okay my two cents worth. The generator is nothing that is wrong. As stated, it is a way of printing more than one coupon. There is no limit to the number of target coupons that you can print one at a time. This just simplifies the process. You might find this good reading http://www.cents-off.com/faq.htm As for expired coupons, I do not use them and won't. I will not judge anyone who does nor will I call Target and report it. It does not concern me. When coupons are issued, they have an expiration date because the manufacturer has given that time limit for reinbursement. It is all in the accounting process so that a manufacturer can know the time limit that they will be reimbursing for coupons and make accounting adjustments for that. Using expired coupons may cause Target to lose money IF the manufacturer fails to reimburse. We studied this exact topic when I got my master's in business. Good day at Target shopping. I got king size sheet sets for $9.74 were $38.99. Northern 20 giant rolls for $6.48 Kraft BBQ sauce for .48 Ken's Italian dressing for .88 Smuckers sugar free strawberrry jelly for $1.14 King size dust ruffle $4.74 Sliced black olives .43 Arm and Hammer sensitive skin washing detergent $1.86 2 pack notebooks $1.24 Poptarts 2 for $2.00 with coupon Goldfish .83 per bag with coupon Another Illustory for $5.48 They had almost all of the home gym stuff marked down. It was things like hand weights and balls. The Disney Mix things that everyone is talking about (and I know nothing about.LOL) were marked down to $19.99. There were several computer programs marked down 30% and tons and tons of clearance in the stationery section.
  11. Good luck on your coupon venture. I didn't dare try to use anymore after I got publicly embarrassed trying to use them. I am not even certain that I will ever return to that store. I also hear complaints at work very often. I would not dare yell at anyone. If I did yell at a customer, I feel certain that my job would be gone.
  12. Yep. this does sound sorta like my situation LOL except I wasn't alone....there were two of us. We were together and had a total of 4 coupons (2 each). I asked for a manager but was told he wasn't in the store and got what they called a front end supervisor. Also, number was not programmed into the phone. I had written it down and it was in my car. Person with me went out to get it. Not sure if this is me but I wish she would update it. Senior supervisor at guest relations told me that front end supervisor got a formal written reprimand and it will remain in his file. It is nice to know this worker also thought he went ballistic because of coupons LOL. Very similiar case though.
  13. Actually ChildofSolitude is correct. Each manager has the right to limit coupons at the stores. After my episode last week (clerk screaming at me that he would NOT take any coupons), I have spoken with Target corporate offices several times. Each and every senior supervisor informed me that Target must honor the coupon but there can be a limit. Each store policy may vary on the limit. I don't mind if they have a limit because I am not going to abuse the system but I do mind getting screamed at in public.
  14. Did anybody else find trunks? My local store had 6 yesterday but they were all gone when I got there today. I went to two other stores because I wanted a trunk so badly. I still didn't find one.
  15. I went to Target to get some things from GB but everything was picked over and not much left. I did find one clock that was 24.99 for $7.xx. I got 4 Choxie bars and got to the cash register for a fiasco. The clerk told me that they could not longer accept the Choxie coupons. I said this was a Target coupon and to please call a manager. They called a manager and he came over to scream at me that they would not accept the coupons and that people were abusing the system. I explained that I was not abusing anything and that I only had 4 bars with coupons. Well, he kept yelling at me so I called corporate on my cell phone. Corporate told me that they were probably going to have to start putting a limit on the coupons because they were being abused with people buying 20 or more at the time. She said that several managers had called in reference to excessive coupon use. They also told me that the store would accept my coupons but only for 4. I explained that was all I had. The customer service rep spoke with the manager and told him to accept the coupons but he could limit it to 4 at the time. They also informed him that they would call back to discuss his behavior with customers. Man, this was horrible and I had several other items. It wasn't like I just went in for free chocolate. I also bought a bedskirt (not on sale), 3 bags of dog treats (not on sale) and trash bags.
  16. I like Sears appliances. I bought a dishwasher (best one I ever had) from Sears. It broke after about 8 years so we just decided to buy another one instead of fixing the old one. When we went to Sears, we couldn't get anyone to wait on us. DH got upset and we left. We bought a dishwasher elsewhere and it is nothing compared to the Kenmore. Sears usually makes quality appliances although anything can be defective. The problem I have with Sears is that the sales clerks act like you offend them if you ask them for help.
  17. I haven't had any trouble with any Target taking the coupons. One young cashier asked me where I got the free coupons but it was because she wanted to try Choxie. I told her they were on the Internet and then gave her two of mine that I had left. She was so excited to get free Choxie bars and she thanked me about 6 times.
  18. I went to a local Dollar General today searching for deals. I found nothing. There was no Christmas left in the store.
  19. The Target near me will not sell display furniture. They had a kitchen utility cart with a red clearance sticker on it. I asked to get one and they checked and did not have anymore in the store. I told them that I would gladly take the one of the shelf. I was told that due to liability issues that they would not sell it. They also told me that the displays were not put together as they should be and often were missing screws or parts. I guess it just depends on where you are.
  20. I went to two different Target stores today. I got 6 choxie bars (3 at each store) = free 8 heart boxes of V-day Choxie truffles $1.50 each minus $2.00 coupon each = (-$4.00) DH 2 belts that were $19.98 each marked down to $4.96 = 9.92 Illustory book 50% off = $9.97 Total spent = $16.85 Good day at Target! Chocolate and savings..
  21. Does everybody think that GB will get marked down on Thursday since it was in the sale paper for this week or do you think they will wait and mark it down on Sunday? I am trying to watch it since I want a couple of things. Thanks to everybody for sharing their deals and finds. I am addicted to this site!
  22. I was there yesterday and bought an undercounter clock/radio/Ipod player. It was regularly marked $89.99 but with the additional 30% off of clearance and a 20% off coupon I paid $28xx tax included.
  23. I didn't find any real deals today. I am waiting for GB to go to 75% since there isn't anything I really need but a couple of things I want. I did find a Wilton set of 3 heart shaped springform pans for 75% off. I was happy to find those. They were in a shopping cart full of V-day stuff. I think they were moving all of it but there wasn't much left.
  24. I had to come here and see what deals everyone got today. I did not go to Target today. but I will be there tomorrow!!! I already have plans to travel to several different stores lol. Yes, I am another addicted person!
  25. My daughter told me about this site last November for the Black Friday deals. I have looked around for a while and finally decided to join. I love this site!!!!!!! I find myself visiting it 5 or 6 or more times a day. Thank you for such a wonderful site and for such nice people.
