  1. Yeah you weren't kidding about being an obvious box! It looks like they just grabbed one off the shelf at macy's and stuck a fed ex label on it! I was fortunate that it came after my DW's lunch break and I was able to beat her home as mother nature created a natural excuse to leave work early.
  2. Thanks for the advice, I'll start thinking of excuses to leave early.
  3. Colors are costantly changing, now they have majestic yellow, metalic chrome, and imperial gray all under $220 after rebate. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41CEZB3V2CL._AA280_.jpg http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41ERT9RGNML._AA280_.jpg http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41Z3D9JK68L._AA280_.jpg Still waiting for mine, it is supposed to come today. I hope it isn't too obvious what it is or that I can beat DW home from work so I can quick wrap it and let it be a surprise for Christmas.
  4. They also have a cheaper deal for a 42" plasma, xbox 360 elite w/2 games, and the new Avatar game for $699. I don't know much about the TV but the price is right. Considering the xbox and the games would sell for about $360 that is a cheap tv.
  5. Yep, just the onyx black and white now. It was earlier though, i promise
  6. I went with the black, hopefully DW likes it. I just checked back to amazon and it looks like this deal is still going on with two exceptions. The price is now 212.99 after rebate for three colors. Gloss Cinnamon replaced empire red as a color choice at that price. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/31wvG4TMboL._AA280_.jpg
  7. When I placed the order they also offered me a free month trial of amazon prime.
  8. This seems like a great deal, these are typically $299 on "sale" at department stores.
  9. I disagree, I got a Wii for $180 and a 20" monitor for $89 w/ free 2nd day shipping over the past 2 months through Dell...
  10. I bought a 20" monitor about a month ago that we didn't really need so I can't justify buying a bigger one this soon, despite the price. Maybe I can ask for it for Christmas :) I did not try the code though, so maybe the deal isn't working. At $280 it is still decent but not a great price.
  11. Wow, great deal. I don't need it. I don't need it. Look away!
  12. OK, I caved in and bought it to. And I was wrong about the no tax, it didn't show up until I was further in the checkout process that I went earlier. About $195 with free 2nd business day shipping.
  13. Another thing to consider is that the Wii comes with one controller and one nunchuk (along with Wii sports). You can do most of the sports games with one controller (bowling, golf, home run derby etc take turns so up to 4 can play at once). However, if you want to play tennis or any other games that have "live" play rather than turn based play, you are going to want multiple controllers. They sell for about $40 but you can buy WiiPlay for $50 that has a controller and about 10 other minigames. Also, if you are looking for additional games I would recommend Wii Fit Plus (w/ balance board) for about $95 @ buy.com and also Wii Sports Resort (about $50 anywhere, may want to find one that comes with 2 wii motion plus addons). Both include many more mini games which are fun group/party games and get you up off your seat.
  14. Its certainly not a question of if it is a good deal or not, more of a would they actually use it/want it. We already have one :)
  15. They have these at Mills Fleet Farm (brick & mortar) for the same price, they are pretty classy.
  16. Cheapest I have seen it, we are considering buying one for DW's dad... No tax (for me) and Free 2nd day shipping... hard to resist...
  17. I would buy this for DW but she still wants an iPod touch... probably more for the games than the music.
  18. That is REALLY cheap. I know Dynex is a discount brand but its hard to complain about that price especially with the digital tuner.
  19. Wow, you dug deep to get this one! Sorry I can't help you but I admire your search effort!
  20. After you check out, it takes you to a "special offer" page... Make sure you only hit "no thanks" once... I was impatient so I clicked it a few times (not seeing the "hit once and wait" message") it never loaded. FORTUNATELY, if you make the same mistake or accidentally close the browser, all you need to do is log back in again and you can print your certificates from there. I am a bit dissapointed by the selection (I live in a major metro area and there are only a few within 5 miles, only 1 that I had an interest in going to) but the deals are hard to beat. The thing with most of the certificates is you must spend at least $10 cash on top of the certificate value at the restaurant and some will automatically withhold a 18% tip off the prediscount price. Still, a dinner for two at a $20/plate restaurant for about $20 total is not bad at all.
  21. Its a good deal. If my wife wouldn't kill me I'd buy it. (Apparently one flat screen is enough... I tried the "ours is only 32" card but it hasn't worked yet.)
  22. I am planning to get one of the two movie services, are either offering any good deals right now? I couldn't find anything more than the standard 2 weeks for either. Thanks!
  23. If you have the songs you want on a CD already, just use windows media player to convert them to MP3s. If you are looking to buy new songs, rhapsody, walmart, and emusic are all good options.
  24. So the deal doesn't start until tomorrow, Is there a code or will it automatically pop up? Also, does this offer apply to b&m ToysRus stores also?
  25. They are kind of cool. This one supports avi and pictures, so you could watch properly formatted video files as well. The two drawbacks I noticed on the one my uncle had were the cord and the viewing angle...
