  1. The silver has slightly more memory and is slightly faster. Buy the cheaper one. Unless she is crunching an insane formulas (beyond calculus) or filling it with games you will never need the additional memory or speed.
  2. I have the TI 83 silver edition and if I remember right it is a little faster, maybe 1.5x faster. There may be a little more memory also. I don't think there are any additional features that she would need in the future. I assume this is the same for TI-84, but I am not positive. If you are a little ambitious, you can get the TI-84 silver for about $60 on eBay.
  3. Thank You for your quick response... Unfortunately the Netflix one shows the standard 2 week trial for me... The Blockbuster one looks great though. Thanks Again
  4. Does anyone know of any promos/codes for Blockbuster or Netflix? I am looking to sign up for one or the other and would love to get the first month free rather than just 2 weeks. I know from time to time they offer extended trials and that would be enough to swing me either direction.
  5. For anyone buying a camera... DIGITAL ZOOM EQUAL NO ZOOM. All a digital zoom does is take a smaller picture. When you load it on your computer it is of lower quality. ONLY GO BY OPTICAL ZOOM. 3x is a pretty standard number. You may want to go higher, i didnt. The more megapixels the better yes, but I have a 2.1 and a 7 megapixel cameras. The 2.1 fills my computer screen in perfect quality. So unless you are going to be printing posters or watching slide shows on a 72" tv, a 4-5 megapixel is enough.
  6. I just bought it on saturday and can go back tuesday so I should be allright. Thanks Alot. This is a nice system if anyone is looking for an affordable surround sound system.
  7. Can I just go to the store and do that? I was thinking about trying that but haven't had time to go to the store again. Do I just need the receipt or do I have to bring everything back in?
  8. I ended up just buying it at the store, it is a pretty nice system for a dorm room or an inexpensive home theatre system. The only thing I dont like is the lack of inputs, it only has one input for sound. I guess it isnt so bad since I have a switch. If you dont have a good DVD player allready, this is a great deal. The DVD player in it alone is probably worth the $100. The speakers are more than adequate and it is a nice affordable system.
  9. This seems like a really good deal to me. I will have to check this out tomorrow in the store, hopefully they do not sell out before then.
  10. Shipping is reasonable also, i believe it is $8.99 for your entire order. So 28.98 for the oven and anything else you buy is free shipping... in theory.
  11. Do you pay extra to pay later?
  12. To sign up, go to checkout.google.com You sign up for the service first, and then they give you a $10 bonus for doing that. You can then use that $10 and your own $ to make any purchase that accepts google checkout.
  13. They are probably thinking of the $10 and $20 google checkout deals that were available in December. If you go to checkout.google.com they have the deal right on the main page. For new accounts only.
  14. They cancelled one of my items today quoting out of stock... which is frustrating because that was the main item that I wanted and without it I probably wouldnt have ordered. So just watch out, they took some items out of my cart yesterday night just before checkout and then removed another one after I paid.
  15. Some great deals, Thank You. Edit: For the record, some of the items are starting to be out of stock. I had a few pullovers in my cart and when I went to checkout they were removed do to lack of availability in that size. I went back and readded them and was able to get one of the two styles, but the other was oos. Just a heads up to not waste too much time thinking like I did. I got some great deals on shirts but the jacket I wanted was deleted from my cart. I'll check out the real store tomorrow and see if they have anything comparable to it.
  16. It is guaranteed return, FDIC insured so you CANNOT lose money. It is just a high yield online savings account, very similar to a local Wells Fargo except they pay significantly higher interest. Also, you transfer money in/out through online transfers rather than going through the drive through. It is very secure and lets you see where your money is and exactly how much interest you have accrued.
  17. Sounds like a good idea. You might even want to consider CDs once you have a few hundred dollars in your ING savings account. They are very simple to do through ING and you can lock in a good rate (above 5%) for a specific length of time.
  18. ING is linked to your checking account, meaning you go to the website and can transfer money to and from your ING account and your Checking account. I believe you can do it up to 8 times a month. It takes about 2-3 days I believe, but you earn interest on most of that changeover time. I think for most people the thing to do would be to keep their regular checking and savings, but then add an online MM account. You can then keep an emergency fund in your regular bank savings account and any excess you put in ING. That way you can avoid transferring to and from the ING account every time the utility bills are due and etc. I transfer in about twice a month and rarely withdraw, and it has worked flawlessly for me. Oh and I do not believe there is any type of a debit card for this account. I wouldnt use it if there were however, as I make a killing off of rebate credit cards.
  19. Thank you both. There are quite a few good options. Another quick question, I have a 15" laptop and it recommends buying the Jupiter model of the Messenger Bag, but I prefer the style of the Saturn Model which is designed for 17" laptops. Is it important that there be a snug fit? The small price difference doesnt matter to me but I dont want to buy something that will not work properly. http://www.buy.com/retail/searchresults.asp?querytype=home&qu=wenger&display=&qxt=home&dclksa=1&adid=17662
  20. The best thing about ING is no fees, no minimums, high interest rate, and ease of accessability. The one negative is that they used to offer the highest int rates, but they have lagged behind in raising their rates and now others offer rates at or above 5%. If you are not getting 4%+ in your savings account, you should really look into a Money Market FDIC Insured account like ING or Emigrant. Still, it is very convenient (I have it hooked up to the checking account where i have direct deposit) so I can send my money away almost immediately after the bills are paid and life is good. As for ING not having physical offices, they do exist (there is one in my town) but it is not a bank but rather a corporate building. So if something bad does happen there are physical locations to complain to, but that of course shouldn't be an issue. I have a few ? about Emigrant Direct - Are there fees or minimums? If not, why wouldnt everyone use that one? ING is easy and simple, with no hidden fees, but if ED is likewise why would anyone prefer ING?
  21. My current case for my laptop blew a zipper so I am casually looking for a new one, preferably a good deal on a nice one as opposed to just a cheap one, but either way any leads would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
