  1. My 14 yr old used something like this that i got on ebay when he was 10 (I paid less tho), and I'm glad it wasn't an expensive one as he didn't treat it right. Now, four years later, he is an advanced guitar player and owns several expensive, nice guitars (which he treats well). I like to buy guitars from Musiciansfriend.com. They have great sales all the time, and their customer service can't be beat.
  2. In SW Wa state the Summer stuff was 50% yesterday. I got some citronella torch fuel. I think I'll go back if it is now 75%. There were a lot of things left yesterday.
  3. The ridges give great grill marks to food. It isn't meant to fry eggs, etc. I love mine!
  4. I love this one! Konica-Minolta Dimage Z10, 3.3 Megapixel, 8x Optical/4x Digital Zoom, Digital Camera Availability: In Stock Usually Ships in 1-2 Business Days Your Price: $133.00 http://www.prestigecamera.com/product.asp?id=mndimz10&l=Nextag http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2005-11/1101052/resize200.jpg
  5. FYI- both of these codes give me 10% only. Shipping is pretty good for one item actually tho.
  6. Mine shows it is in transit also. And all I ordered were the earrings.
  7. Just had to tell everyone... I forgot to submit my online Rite Aid rebate, and the deadline for submission had passed, for last month, and they sent me an email saying I must have forgotten and therefore they submitted it FOR ME! Woo-hoo! I love rite aid!
  8. REI has some deals. check target clearance too, online and off, as they are getting rid of last year's camping stuff. i am looking for one of those tent "screen gazebo" or "screen houses" so i have been seeing a lot of tent deals while looking for my score. OH... amazon has some great deals too. also, i found, if you know of a brand you prefer, like coleman... go to that site like www.coleman.com and they will have a list of authorized retailers. it takes time, but if you click on each retailer's link, and do a search for clearance tent or sale tent you can find stuff. Hey, in the meantime if you find any screen deals, please pass them on!
  9. 18 yrs.. wow... my "old man" siamese died in september, at 17 and it was the hardest thing i ever had to go through. i am still mourning. can't believe how much of a part of me he was. My 20 yr old daughter said it was like losing a sibling, she had "never known a time without him". sorry... don't mean to make anyone feel down. i just want to say to love him/her all you can... it's wonderful that you have a beloved pet that long... and spoil that loved one all you can. Wish i could still spoil my "lil dickens" ... i miss him.
  10. arrghhhh... PLEASE put the name of the store in your title... i haven't got that store here, and this was a waste of my "click". thanks
  11. Just came from my SW WA state penny's, and got some awesome deals. would have gotten more, but didn't need much. They are having a 40% additional off of the lowest clearance price. 12. I was suprised by the fast shipping from $15 store. I ordered the regular shipping (like $11 for 4 items -1 a big bulky coat)... the order said to expect delivery in around 10 - 14 days. I got it in 4 days from the day i placed the order. I got one of the suede coats... FYI on the sizing: Rouge Suede Coat, almond. I think it is cute, but for a Large, it is really small. I am 5' even, and wear a size 8, and couldn't snap it without sucking in (and it looks awful, all puckered, etc ). I figure when I (if i ever do) lose this weight and am back down to my normal size 1, it will fit great! I also got a couple of really nice "XOXO" slacks for office wear. They feel really luxurious, like they could double for a date night after work. They fit really nice too (again, I chose the bigger size 9/10, just in case). All in all I am really happy with them (plus a brown blazer too) and will shop again. I just need to remember to order a bit larger. The items I got for my neice were sent directly to her, and i haven't heard any complaints, so I guess all went well.
  13. Just an FYI... before xmas i got my rather small-ish 9 yr old the silver/white reversible fur jacket. Although it IS really cute, and she does love it, I got her a size 10 and it is SO SMALL! It looks more like it would fit a 7-8 yr old. She is small so it sorta works, but will outgrow it soon.
  14. Smelso/Longpew here....... oops... I mean Kelso/Longview WA here. We have the destinct designation of having the HIGHEST rate of Gonorrhea in the state (over seattle and tacoma... shrug)! I am SO proud! Edit: ... and purposely single and celebate. (er, the single part isn't purposely, but becoming a necessity with the news reports of late.)
  15. i remember when Montgomery Wards went out in our town (i recently found them online tho, with some good deals... forgot the URL). They had a mark down clearance, based on days... like the first week 25% off, the second 50% off, and so on. I got SO MANY dang good deals (like leather ladies shoes that i STILL wear for a buck, etc) and I practically lived there for a month... going every day to see what was newly put out and newly reduced. It was a blast. I remember too when Rite Aid's new year clearances were AWESOME. I got a panasonic CD player boom box for $8, and it is a rival for my stereo as far as sound goes. I can't wait to see prices dropping at Mervyn's!
  16. On my local news this morning... all Oregon and Washington state Mervyn's are shutting down by "next year" (tho an earlier report, I heard "by the end of March". Look for clearance sales on everything!
  17. Waist: When measuring for a regular fit jean, measure your waist at your belly button. When measuring for a low-rise jean, measure your waist below your belly button. Inseam: Measure the inside part of your leg down to your ankle. (If you want your jeans to sit at your ankle, measure to your ankle. If you want the jeans to lay at your heel, measure to the ground. Unless the jeans are not preshrunk and are 100%cotton, then LTBB (let the buyer beware!), you could end up with capris!
  18. wow... i remember "lawman's" i think that was 1979. are they still around? Don';t forget those ugly (?) gloria vanderbilts.
  19. has any one shopped here? how is the quality. my sis in law is dying of breast cancer (and related stuff) and can't work. her three kids need so many things. I'm looking at the jackets for her daughter, but am afraid that they might be cheap due to cost. some look cute (my neice is 15), but i'm wary. I don't have a lot of money, but would like to help them out as much as I can. So, does anyone know about them? www.fifteendollarstore.com
  20. I don't get how this happens. Totally amazing. Is it an inside problem, or something the USPS did? I have gotten other people's mail plenty of times, but it is usually a neighbor's mail.
  21. my numerous shipping/purchases by amazon this year went great except for a bike I ordered. it showed delivered, but i didn't get it. it showed delivered to a different town (one just across a river from my town). they resent the bike, upgrading the shipping to 2 day. I got BOTH BIKES the same day! Unbelievable. Only one charge to my card. Still debating what to do. Karma-fear tells me to send one back. But reality tells me that I cannot lug that HUGE unassembled bike down to the Post Office (I walk, and this is one of those "chopper" bikes for BIG kids), nor afford to mail it. I'll just think on this a while.
  22. as for the regular gifts, i do them all along, but keep a written list so i know what all i got (cant trust my memory and want to be fair). This year there will be two unwrapped bikes (you're joking if you think I AM WRAPPING THOSE!) as for santa... here, he only does the stocking stuffers and normally i wrap those while the kids TRY to fall asleep. but i am taking a hint from this thread and not wrapping those. shoot, the kids still at home are 9 and 14 and don't believe anymore anyway. we sorta don't talk about it... because i always told the kids "santa is as real as you believe in him" and "santa is real in your heart.. the SPIRIT of christmas/santa"... and that he is alive/real to me cuz i have that in my heart! MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!
  23. my card is good til 8/2010. perhaps i did put in the wrong date (NOT) but even if I had, why didn't they notify me? I think they didn't want to deal with the freebie.
  24. I emailed them two days ago asking where it was. I got this tonite. "This order was cancelled by your credit card company. I think the expiration date is not right and we show 11/05. Please e-mail us with the correct expiration date and we will put the order back in for you. Thanks for your interest in our product" That is such BS! I used my visa debit card, and did NOT put in the wrong date. I am not interested in purchasing ANYTHING from them now. They shouldn't offer free things/deals if they can't meet the need. PS even IF it had expired 11/05... that is when i ordered the stuff!
  25. there IS another option, buy an ink refill kit. yes, they are messy, but... it works.
