  1. all pepsi products for the buy two/get two free... not for the $25 gift card. there is small print on the bottom of the blurb on it in the ad, about which kind for the gift card. The $10 off was in the oregonian newspaper from tuesday, and in addition, in SW wa, we get a home delivered paper called "neighbors" each wednesday that has the coupon. some safeways have these at the checkstand and will scan it as a courtesy, but i have seen this SELDOM happen.
  2. funny how you were able to get the $25 but didn't have ten items, and the wild cherry pepsi isn't on that deal. lol I found the best deal was 8 pops, and two bags of lays chips for the ten items (the pops that count for the $25 card are pepsi (diet too), sierra mist (diet too), mug (not diet) and mountain dew (not diet). if you got two, you also got two free and one water (those types included the wild cherry, etc). the limit was two free waters. I did this deal four times yesterday. 32 half-cases of pop, 8 cases of water and 8 bags of chips. I paid $48 total, and got $100 in gift cards. not bad... heh heh. the free water was definately limited to two (unless you have more than one club card available). but the gift card deal is one you can do over and over on one card. My mom couldn't get it to work either, but then she had a diet mug in her cart. Also, i discovered to get the ten dollars off, do NOT put in your club card information until it totals. then HAND the ten off coupon to the person and put in your card information. they'll take it every time if you do it that way. NOTE: if you qualified for the .10 gas deduction, you obviously went over $50. lol
  3. I'll try to make this as simple as possible. Purchase ten participating pepsi items and get a $25 gift card (any of them at safeway). The certificate for the gift card prints out when purchase is complete. Qualifying items include the 12oz fridgepacks of pop, and lays chips. At the same time, they have a buy two-get two free fridgepacks (plus a free 24 pk of refreshe bottle water-limit 2 free water packs). Some areas also have $10 off purchase of $50 (before deductions this comes to over $50). So, this is how it worked out for me after scanning the club card: 4 pepsi fridgepacks (they each had .55 off coupons for sierra mist fridgepacks on the box- a stickie coupon, which i was able to double).--$10.98 4 sierra mist fridgepacks---------------------$10.98 2 24-packs refreshe water------------------- free 2 lays chips---------------------------------$5.00 (i also purchased a solo 20 oz diet pop for me)$1.39 Sales Tax-----------------------------------$1.05 --------- less the $4.40 in coupons less the $10 off $50 purchase (they go by your amount before using the club card). Totals Savings Value $49.32 (club card plus deductions) ------- Total Charge $15.00 So, I spent $15, got all that stuff, plus a $25 gift card to use the next time. It says limit of one gift card, but I'm going to use my boyfriend's card and do it tomarrow again! PLUS I got the $25 gift certificate. I chose a Safeway one, but there were many many to choose from! Whew, what a deal! Participating stores are at the bottom of this page http://shop.safeway.com/superstore/default.asp?brandid=1&page=corphome (Vons, Safeway, etc), and the participating items are on page 1, and page 7 in both promotions... be careful, the ones that work on the $25 gift card are not all the same as all the buy 2-get 2 brands.
  4. Wow... quite clever! I tried it and didn't work. Gonna play around with it... maybe a different credit card or something. Thanks! (tried on a different product--- i realize this one is sold out).
  5. Is google checkout giving the $10 off still? I just tried a new account and it isn't coming up.
  6. My experience with them is that if you call, they will make it up to you. Last go-round of these deals, they would bend over backwards almost to make you happy. Let us know your experience, please. Gotta say, all of the items I purchased were new. The packaging wasn't real great, but all items came in great shape. I'm surprised at what happened to you and would venture a guess that it is a fluke. Hope it all works out for you.

  8. Even though we bbq year round here in Washington State, when it is just too nasty outside I plug in this grill and use it. It actually works quite well, and is large capacity! Clean up is extremely easy with it too!
  9. The shirts/shorts sale is good only until the 9th, according to the site.
  10. my target had a bunch of the target brand food marked down. not sure the discount, and almost didn't even see the stuff... it wasn't in the usual spot for clearanced food; instead the items are right on the shelves where they belong.
  11. Just an FYI... I find that when I jump on the wagon and take advantage of the special listing rates (what happened to .10 cent days?) that EBay gets bogged down with way too many listings, and I don't do as well selling. But then I haven't bothered with EBay for a couple of years... I find Amazon Marketplace much slicker~!
  12. It's been reported in other "deal sites" that if google notices, they cancel the order, and send an email that says: Hello, It appears that you have created multiple accounts in order to take advantage of our current promotion. However, creating accounts in this manner is not allowed under the terms of this promotion. As a result, we have suspended your additional accounts and their associated transactions. You may continue to make purchases with your original Google Checkout account at this time. The promotion terms were developed to ensure a positive user experience for everyone. If your account use continues not to comply with these terms, you may not be eligible to make purchases through Google Checkout in the future. Sincerely, The Google Checkout Team
  13. Be careful with multiple email/accounts. This is against the rules and they are cracking down on people.
  14. I dunno, maybe I'm getting old, but the flying pig I bought during the last go-round on this deal was a total flop. I thought it was cute, but the kids (ages 6-15) couldn't get the fingers in the holes correctly (and without awkwardness) and ended up THROWING them. The fun lasted about 10 minutes and they have never touched it again. On occassion, I toss it at one of them, and they just roll their eyes. Maybe you need much younger kids for them to like this--- or maybe it's something only adults seem to like. All I know is a Deal isn't a deal if nobody uses it.
  15. Today is the last day to take advantage of this deal. I stocked up on Bird's Eye Frozen Vegies (the small boxes) that were on sale for $1.50 each, and ended up paying .50 each for ten of them. This is a great deal since they are the vegies with sauces (like brocolli with cheese sauce, brussel sprouts with butter sauce, etc), and are normally way out of my budget. My freezer is full of the To Go cheese and crackers too! Those were free!
  16. Some say Apex is a low end, poor product, BUT that was my first one, and it is now in my bedroom for me to use. In the family room, we use the Coby. I've had no problem with it and it's been almost a year since we got it. The new one from this deal, I got for my mom (who still is using VCR) and I think she'll be happy.
  17. I found Slim Jim Sticks 10 for $10, and when I paid, a coupon spit out for $10, to be used on gas or any food (at Safeway). I took the items to my car and returned for 10 2-packs of Kraft "To Go" cheese and cracker snacks (in the dairy section by the shredded cheeses) for $10, and paid for it with the coupon I'd gotten earlier. Sure enough, another $10 coupon spit out. I didn't have time to really check the aisles for more free after coupon items (10/$10 before the coupon) but I did notice lots of $1.50 sale items on the list. There is a special tag on the shelves that is easy to spot (blue/white with a red "ralley" spot on it). Let us know if you find any outstanding deals. The lady at the store told me this is a two week promotion, and the $10 coupon is good until some time in March. http://shop.safeway.com/superstore/homepages/images/wk07_p1_swy.jpg The deal! The list of items is here of participating products (the category drop down at the top of the page takes you to other items). They say this is good on "thousands" of items! And the offer is good "one per transaction". They had no problem with me going through the same checkstand within 10 minutes of the first time, and doing it again.

  19. a week ago, i got two bar stools that were clearanced to $7.08... they were salvaged from a web-return and I couldn't return them if there was something wrong about it. Well, one was perfect (you build them, easy really). The second one had a broken leg. I figured out how to fix it with wood glue and wood screws. It will always be the one that the smallest kid sits in... lol... but for the price... what the heck!
  20. lots of square dishes in my store in sw washington state for around $4 for a box (4 in it?). TONS of clothes in all departments at 75%, 50%, and 30%. Furniture is still at 30%. Small fridges are clearanced, but still over $50. Lots of good make up deals, and body lotions... if you have coupons from a few weeks ago (sunday paper) you can make out like crazy! I got a backpack for under $3... the Greatland brand (this had two straps, the one straps were a dollar more). I got two "pj" shirts in a 75% off deal, for $3+... they are nice though, 95% cotton, 5% spandex ... will look nice for work (one black, one white). Got some cute, fancy socks for under a dollar a pair, at 75% off... my daughter loves these! I'm beginning to think Thursdays are the day to go. I can't go as often as some of you do... and noticed deals are kinda day dependant.
  21. i have ordered a few things... happy with what i got. not happy about the slow shipping times though.
