  1. They DO match online prices. I called in at CC because I was having trouble with my computer. I said Walmart had the item for less. He looked it up on the internet. So you can call or go into the store and they give you the difference if you bought over the net, when you pick it up.
  2. I'm in Ohio and they didn't give me one. They said there wasn't a participating store near me.
  3. Office Depot under $450 for an Emachines. Or go to a local Computer store and they may be able to build you one for cheaper. Mine was last year out the door only $915. We have a huge system. If one was to buy my system from a store it would cost $2000+.
  4. PS. What price you are willing to pay?
  5. Ask if there is a student rate, I thought they had a discounted rate on high school/college. I haven't flown to Europe in ten years.
  6. That's nice, I wish my husband returned items for me.....but he doesn't.
  7. When will you give these gifts out? After the baby is born? Then you know what size to put in the "cake". Even though I think it's a great idea, I myself would only do it for the shower, not as a welcome home gift. I know that when I had my kids I received too many diapers (can you believe that) and I couldn't use some because my oldest kids grew too fast (no one gave me diapers bigger than a size 1 and they were Sam's Club boxes, I guess I could have exchanged them, but who has time) or born a preemie (everything was already too big and needed newborn sized). Also, the moms might vary like those on this thread on which diapers they like and will buy. I like Luvs or Wal Mart myself now for when my kids are size 4 and up. For size 4 and under, I llike Huggies or ToysRUs brand. Depends on mom!
  8. When I have friends or family due soon, I give the mom a gift. I buy a cheap diaper bag from the dollarstore and fill it with a eye gel mask, lotion, pampering things. You can make one for around $15 a piece. I think I even put some breast shields for those I knew that were breast feeding. Maybe diaper rash ointment for baby...they will get so many things. Mom's are sometimes forgotten.
  9. allaboardtoys.com sometimes has really good deals! Maybe garage sales too! You might also want to inquire with a local train or hobby store (more mom/pop or even hobby lobby) in your area. Most have sales on in stock Thomas sets and trains. My oldest is in the Bachmann Thomas sets now, and giving his younger brother the wooden sets.
  10. I'm sure the smaller the department is, the more likely it will be converted. One Walmart over here has a huge inventory, while the newer one has two small aisles for the fabric department. They have really nice fabric too, especially when it goes down to $2 a yard.
  11. If your still not sure, just rebuy the item and return with the higher reciepted price.
  12. Mine was light too, hopefully the paper boy isn't hoarding them all!
  13. Thanks for the head's up! I couldn't go to the store, too much to do! Got Ali G (The complete seereez) Thanks agian!
  14. Maybe anything with Bogart and Cary Grant?
  15. if you havn't bought a gift yet, you can always go to the bookstore (Borders's, B&N, Books A Million...) and find very nice bargain Holiday stories, prayers, etc...type of books. My mom got a few for $1.99 to give to hostesses for parties she attending this week! She isn't too keen on wine anymore either!
  16. For being a postal worker, you should know that my explanation is just as likely as yours!! It may be not a permanent route for anyone!!
  17. Even if you take the exam and pass. It might be months before you are called and IF there are positions. As for a gift, anything from a $5 present to a $100 GC is fine. It's the thought that counts. AND also for the numerous carriers on your street, apparently no one likes your route. Maybe too many dogs?!
  18. They use media mail...the SLOWEST mail possible. May take up to two weeks to deliver after they process and ship.
  19. Anything with Dora, Backyardigans, Blue clues would be fine for the 5 and 2 year old. Most of the items for them are under $50. I got my 4 year old daughter the Diego car that you push when your in it at TRU. And it was only $50. For my one year boy I got him the Diego (they also have Dora) motorized battery operated baby 4 wheeler. It was only $59 at Kmart. For the 7 year old It would depend on her interests, I'd probably buy the Ikea blackboard/whiteboard/art paper easel and paper with it. I'm not sure how much it costs, but if my parents bought it, it must not be that expensive! For my nine year old niece, I bought her a magazine subcription to Cosmogirl! It was only $8 for the year. I'm going to make her a flyer to show her present. I also know that nine year olds also love "credit cards" (gift certificates, I buy to Claire's).
  20. Jrudy01, If you have anymore please email me...my daughter adores Elmo! [email protected]. Thanks!
  21. I would love to get one! If you have anymore let me know, please! [email protected] Thanks
  22. Macy's clearance sales are great around this time every year. Especially right after Thanksgiving. I know last year I got my two kids a winter wardrobe for $60. The sales were clearance with an additional 40%.
