  1. They DO match online prices. I called in at CC because I was having trouble with my computer. I said Walmart had the item for less. He looked it up on the internet. So you can call or go into the store and they give you the difference if you bought over the net, when you pick it up.
  2. I'm in Ohio and they didn't give me one. They said there wasn't a participating store near me.
  3. Office Depot under $450 for an Emachines. Or go to a local Computer store and they may be able to build you one for cheaper. Mine was last year out the door only $915. We have a huge system. If one was to buy my system from a store it would cost $2000+.
  4. Ask if there is a student rate, I thought they had a discounted rate on high school/college. I haven't flown to Europe in ten years.
  5. That's nice, I wish my husband returned items for me.....but he doesn't.
  6. When will you give these gifts out? After the baby is born? Then you know what size to put in the "cake". Even though I think it's a great idea, I myself would only do it for the shower, not as a welcome home gift. I know that when I had my kids I received too many diapers (can you believe that) and I couldn't use some because my oldest kids grew too fast (no one gave me diapers bigger than a size 1 and they were Sam's Club boxes, I guess I could have exchanged them, but who has time) or born a preemie (everything was already too big and needed newborn sized). Also, the moms might vary like those on this thread on which diapers they like and will buy. I like Luvs or Wal Mart myself now for when my kids are size 4 and up. For size 4 and under, I llike Huggies or ToysRUs brand. Depends on mom!
  7. When I have friends or family due soon, I give the mom a gift. I buy a cheap diaper bag from the dollarstore and fill it with a eye gel mask, lotion, pampering things. You can make one for around $15 a piece. I think I even put some breast shields for those I knew that were breast feeding. Maybe diaper rash ointment for baby...they will get so many things. Mom's are sometimes forgotten.
  8. allaboardtoys.com sometimes has really good deals! Maybe garage sales too! You might also want to inquire with a local train or hobby store (more mom/pop or even hobby lobby) in your area. Most have sales on in stock Thomas sets and trains. My oldest is in the Bachmann Thomas sets now, and giving his younger brother the wooden sets.
  9. I'm sure the smaller the department is, the more likely it will be converted. One Walmart over here has a huge inventory, while the newer one has two small aisles for the fabric department. They have really nice fabric too, especially when it goes down to $2 a yard.
  10. If your still not sure, just rebuy the item and return with the higher reciepted price.
  11. Mine was light too, hopefully the paper boy isn't hoarding them all!
  12. Thanks for the head's up! I couldn't go to the store, too much to do! Got Ali G (The complete seereez) Thanks agian!
  13. if you havn't bought a gift yet, you can always go to the bookstore (Borders's, B&N, Books A Million...) and find very nice bargain Holiday stories, prayers, etc...type of books. My mom got a few for $1.99 to give to hostesses for parties she attending this week! She isn't too keen on wine anymore either!
