  1. OK totally blonde here, but where are these extra coupons. I am heading there tomorrow!
  2. I am trying to find out the weight of the popcorn in the tins that Wal-mart and the drug stores carry. My ds is looking to buy a family gift from the Popcorn Factory, but what he can afford (he's just a kid) is 20 ounces (20 servings) . Hard to compare the weight of popcorn, KWIM? I don't want him to be disappointed with his hard earned purchase, so I want him to know the weight of the ones in the stores so he can compare and make a good choice that he will be happy with. Thanks!:)
  3. Oh man have you just succeeded in making me seriously homesick. Hope all you Texans enjoy!
  4. Why wouldn't they mark them back up? Any other store that has a sale that runs through a specific date or time raises their prices when the sale is over. These were sale prices that were good for a specific time and if people wanted them at the sale price they should've got to the store during the sale time. I'm just confused why people think Walmart owes it to us to keep their sale prices. If that is the case, I really want more of that fabric that Joann's had a few weeks ago on sale and I only want it at the Black Friday price I paid that day.
  5. Thanks to those who suggested Old Navy. I wound up buying 10's as the ARizona Jeans in a size 9 at JCP didn't have adjustable waists. Old Navy was running a weekend special w/an extra 30% off here so we wound up getting 4 pairs of jeans for $41 including tax! I was very happy!
  6. Help! I am searching for back to school pants for my ds. He is very tall, but very skinny. Size 8's fall off him, but are too short. So, I can't imagine what bumping him to a size 10 would do. With the 8's we got adjustable waistbands, so I imagine that what I will need is a good deal on size 9's with adjustable waistbands. No problem, right! Thanks for any help you may be able to offer.
  7. I totally believe Walmart is at fault. They even advertised their sale as a "door-BUSTER". They created a culture where there is no order and people are encouraged to come out to the said "doorbuster". I see no reason whatsoever why Walmart can't figure out a better way of doing their specials. Even Best Buy who in my opinion has the WORST customer service figured out the ticket system. A lousy $7000 fine is like you and I being fined $0.70. Hopefully, the families lawyers have better luck than the government. Because without a doubt no security and no crowd control I truly believe that yes Wal mart bears some of the blame in this man's death. Obviously, it goes without saying that the people in the crowd bear some blame to, but in fairness I bet some of them would have been killed as well had they stopped to help.
  8. Looking for the best price on the movie Fireproof. I saw Best Buy has it for $16.99 just wondering if anyone has seen it better priced. TIA,
  9. Wow! That is bigger than my computers hard drive! Thanks for the info.
  10. Cool. Thanks for the info. I am well... technology deficient!
  11. What is the difference? Does a USB hard drive do anything different or is it just a huge capacity flash drive? Thanks
  12. I am looking for a place that sells cheap flash drives. I got dh a MP3 player for Christmas and he has downloaded a ton of music. Therefore, my harddrive is getting fuller and slower. I wanted to transfer them to a flash drive to have as a back up in case my puter crashes (I dont' want to have to rebuy all my Amazon music). Therefore, I figure buying a few flash drives would be a good investment. TIA,
  13. I know Tractor Supply Company sells a lot of them. Before Christmas they had tons of deals. You may want to check there.
  14. Since we are talking hits and misses of the year I am in search of the really obnoxious. My kids were lucky this year and didn't get anything that drove me nuts. BUT, I was joking with my niece that I got her kids (all 4 of them) safe quiet gifts like pjs and books. Meanwhile she got mine (all 3 of them) nerf guns that they run around shooting. So, I told her game on for next year. Then she said the famous words "Bring it on!" So, now I am off looking for obnoxious stuff for each of her kids next year. They will be 9 (girl) and boys ages 4 and 2. Anyone get or give anything really annoying???? Thanks!
  15. Didn't lose anything this year, but almost lost a t-shirt (found Christmas eve) and while I was looking for it, I found 2 or 3 more razors that I bought my h last year that never made it into his stuff!
  16. 1 book from BooksAMillion. Other book that shipped seperately but on same day (go figure) arrived today, so I expect other one to come tomorrow.
  17. Why not say something like, "Hey I hung the card in my tree. I figured it was blank anyways, so I made it a cute decoration?" This way she will either say "No there is money on it" and you will have your answer and then can tell her later you tried to use it and it was blank. Or she will laugh and say "See I am one dirty Santa" and you'll know it was a trick. This way if she did put money on it and was charged, she can get it fixed and won't be out money.
  18. The worst I ever saw was given to a teacher. She collected frogs and someone went to Mexico and brought her back OK are you ready. Basically it was a laquered up taxidermy frog! Oh yeah, I forgot to mention they had it turned into a purse for her. Wasn't that lovely. I have never ever seen such grace shown by a woman to that kid. She cooed over it and after school her and I talked and she was like "What else was I supposed to do? How do you respond to one of those!" It was hysterical. Made every teacher I ever told that story to glad to receive another "World's greatest teacher" coffee mug.
  19. Thanks guys! Sent one to my sis and her h. Not for a Christmas gift but as a thanks for feeding and entertaining my h when he was in their town for work.
  20. Here is one place that my friend used http://www.homeschoolradioshows.com/ She just downloaded them to her computer and then I guess you could make the CD. Hope it helps.
  21. One of the best gifts my son got was when my sister did this only she cleaned out all of her old craft stuff and put it in a box for him. That was a couple years ago and they still break it out every now and again!
  22. A toy kitchen set would be a great investment (especially if you plan on having more kids). But, honestly I would suggest that he get her a neat $50 toy and a $100 savings bond. She won't know the difference and in 15 years she would appreciate having that extra cash at school than some toy she probably won't remember having. Also, I agree with the membership. If you get one, make sure there is a stuffed animal or toy to go with it.
  23. WTG ElCid!!! Perhaps next year you can teach lessons to all our dh's. I wonder if I could get DH to actually do this next year. Wonderful idea!
  24. CVS 12/7-12/13 has buy $20 worth of Energizer and get $10 in Extra bucks back. 8pks of AA are $5.99 and rechargables are all $2 off.
