  1. Totally agree on the Michael's with 40% off. Unless you have one of the Joann's 50% off coupon that is out there right now.
  2. I put in a call to a friend of mine who once upon a time ordered a bunch. I will post if she gets back to me.
  3. I am searching for some small sets, so I don't need to go through Lego.com just wondering if you have seen any good sales basic legos not bionicles or star wars just regular legos. Thanks!
  4. Great deal! I thought it was good with Deep Discount's 25%off ($84) but this is even better!
  5. where is the best place price and ease-wise to download songs. I got my dh an MP3 player for Christmas and now need to load it. Seeing as I have never even seen one of these work before, I know nothing about where to get the music at. It is a Sansa Fuze if that matters. Thanks
  6. Personally, I think it is really crummy to hide things in different departments or with different items. I don't view it as theft, but just because something is legal doesn't make it right. You are not abiding by the spirit of fair play. One of my favorite things to do on BF is to walk in the stores and scan different areas and as I see things I take them put them in my cart either to buy or return hoping the person who hid it won't get any at all! Or I've also seen a woman searching frantically for some toy once and told her I saw four of them in behind the vacumns that I bet someone was stashing. She was elated and I was happy that someone who was cheating was losing their stash! I say that while we are shopping Friday if we find someone's stash we should simply move it!
  7. My kids get fruit (orange, banana, or apple depending on their tastes), toothbrushes, toothpaste, (both character type of course), my favorite find last year was AVON paintable body soap. It comes in a roll on type dispenser. My kids loved it so much the Easter Bunny brought it to them too! Sometimes there is money, always some gum, have done stickers and pencils from the dollar store. Oh and there is always a hotwheels car somewhere in the mix.
  8. I am looking for something that is similar to the Thomas the Tank Engine train sets. I found one at TRU http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2327589 It is $49.99 for 56 pieces. I was just wondering if anyone knows of anything better. Thanks,
  9. I was in a Dollar Tree today and they had some. The "corks" were rubber stoppers, but I think they would serve the same purpose. To add to it, I saw a sign up in our Dollar Tree advertising their site www.dollartreedirect.com (I think that's right) and it said Free Shipping on orders that are shipped to your local store. Good Luck!
  10. I always seemed to find them around $90 for the trundle frame (no mattress) at the cheaper furniture stores in town like American Freight or other type of lower end (for lack of a better phrase) furniture stores.
  11. I would do a $10 gift card to the local grocery/Wal-Mart store for their ham. If it is in the form of the gift card then those who are single and don't want to spend it on a ham can use it to buy a DVD or snacks or something. I miss the days of my dad getting a ham from work (except for the year they got a turkey instead and so did my mom and oh yeah did I mention 2 sisters worked for the same company as my mom. Let's say it made me grateful for hamburger! We were giving them away to neighbors. Now, I would be very happy for a free turkey!
  12. Thanks. I am looking forward to exploring the website.
  13. Hi, Not sure if this is the right spot or not, but I am searching for a deal so I figured I would put my post here. I was just wondering if anyone knew of any restarants where kids eat free on certain nights. I know Denny's by us (southern IN) has Tues and Sat. nights and Lone Star Steakhouse near us does Tuesdays all day and Sat. nights. I am looking for other options in other areas for vacation times and wanted to know if there were other chains out there or if it is a more local type promotion. Thanks,
  14. Has anyone used this site for any restaraunts in Western Michigan? Going on a Lake Michigan scenic tour this summer and would like to save some money eating, so I can put it in the gas tank and enjoy travel and food this summer! Thanks
  15. Anyone know of any sales anywhere on some of the bigger or unique sets. My son LOVES them and thought I would get some for his birthday this year. I have a bit of time, but never to early if there is a bargain! LOL. Thanks!
  16. I'm waiting on one from JC Penney for some Plug N Play video games that I bought on Black Friday. Rebate center shows it received on 12/17 and is "in process." I am a bit perplexed how it can possibly take that long after its received. I am glad you started this thread though as it made me remember I was waiting for this one.
  17. I don't get why you are so upset. They have made an exception for you and are willing to give the refund, so why are you angry? I understand these were Christmas presents and all, but what I don't get is why you waited until after the middle of January to try and return the item. All stores have limits as to how long you have to return an item. Some places are 30 days and that is it. At least they are willing to go to half price after the 30 day mark. So, I guess the nuts and bolts of my question is this--what would have made you happy with this return? Do you expect them to simply return it without you sending it back? To me that would be an absurd business policy as people all over the country would be shouting...."It didn't work! Send back my money!" even if the merchandise did work. Just curious
  18. Something I am making for my MIL is a "Winter Survival Kit" I am putting in some flavored hot chocolates, some candy, microwavable Dinty Moore Stew, micro popcorn. Oh yeah and a new puzzle/word search book. She isn't into tech so I won't get a DVD, but basically it is all consumable so it isn't more "stuff" that she doesn't want or need. And it is all usable. For her that is the key. Good luck coming up with something.
  19. I put mine in a glass jar with a few inches of mineral oil in it. My blades went from replacing once a week to about every 4-5 weeks. And a jar of mineral oil yields about 3 liquid changes. I only changed the oil when it gets dirty looking (after about 6 or 7 weeks.) Hope this helps ya,
  20. I can't get the Kodak ($30 off of $30) to work in my account. I entered it in the coupon section. It says it isn't valid. Is there something I am doing wrong? Thanks,
  21. There is absolutely NO WAY I would give him the Wii. A gift is certainly an expression of your love for him, but why would you over indulge someone who is clearly not even respectful of you? I don't get it. If you feel you have to give him something big make it the monitor since you can at least link that to his education. Personally, I would have no qualms about getting my money back on the Wii and just moving on. Trust me on this one. I saw my niece get everything she wanted for Christmas and it only caused her rude behavior to grow. Why should she behave when she is going to get everything she wanted. Think of it this way would you go to work (workplace or home) everyday and do your best if you had the opportunity to just go and exist there, not do your work, and be an overall pain who didn't listen? AND you would still be rewarded with a bonus-- why bother. Sorry, maybe I sound kind of harsh here, but really what would you do for him if he was a well behaved child who did his best? And if he does this now and gets these benefits I really feel for you when your other kids get older. They have a great example in how to slack of and be rewarded handsomely.
