Mine won't let you put doorbusters in your buggy either. We usually get there around 3-4am and pick up stuff that we want to pricematch. They usually is hardly anyone in the store at this time. Even with doing this, I was still the 2nd person in line for a computer last year.

I started wrapping last night. I finished shopping for my neice, wrapped them all and put them in a box in the attic. This is really good for me. I'm usually wrapping on Christmas eve. I decided to start wrapping earlier this year especially since my little incident last year. My lock broke on my bedroom door and I was locked in my room while wrapping my son's gifts. My son who was 9 at the time was the only one there. He had to go next door around 11pm to get my neighbor who finally worked the lock loose from the outside. I knocked off some of the door frame trying to get out. I just realized something.... I still haven't gotten that door lock fixed. I've been using a slide lock since Christmas..lol.

I can understand why some people feel the way they do about these trees. There is usually at least 1 who will take advantage of something like this. They have a differant story each day in the paper when it gets closer to Christmas. It's usually a hard luck story and they need help with Christmas or something in their house. An x-friend of mine tried to take advantage one year. I was talking to a coworker and she was going to help that person she had seen in the paper. When she showed me the story, I was floored. I knew exactly who the person was asking for help. I told her that if it was me, I wouldn't do it. This person was on welfare, food stamps, too lazy to work and wanted to sit back and reap the benefits of her laziness. She would take her kids' Christmas gifts or birthday gifts back to the stores and pocket the money. Anytime I bought her kids something, I always took off the tags. It finally got to the point where I wouldn't buy them anything because I knew what would happen. I think the charity trees are a great thing. I'm sure they help lots and lots of people... but there's always going to be one looking to take advantage. Sad but true.

I PMed this same boxed set of 24 last year also. You would have thought the savings was coming out of the cashier's pocket. She had to call the manager because she said that it was too cheap. lol. I got my boxed set of 24 and my hubby loved it for Christmas.

I bought crayons and wrapped them up for each kid in pre-school and kindergarten. They seemed to have a problem keeping up with crayons. Kids would take my son's crayons and I was constantly buying them. Now that he's in 5th grade, I'm not sure what I'll do. I always send stuff in for the partys to help out.

My hubby was deployed last Christmas but he's back this year. I know it's hard on the guys overseas missing Christmas with their family. The kids and I went to the Dollar Tree and bought a small tree, a bunch of ornaments and candy that wouldn't melt and sent hubby a stocking packed with stuff. He loved it. He had so much candy and stuff that he brought a ton of it back. It's great that you are doing this. I know they will appreciate it. :) Do you have an address where others can mail stuff to them also if they would like to?
