Yep, a search for "moon" on the BF site brought up Walmart, moon shoes, $29.88.
-
As several people have pointed out, no, Kohls doesn't jack up the price that heavily on ALL items and they do offer some bundles/sets that you can't find other places. Some of their prices are absolutely terrible and some are decent. Many of their "half off" prices are actually only $5 lower than you might find somewhere else--but that is still lower. Some prices are actually higher than other stores. So you simply have to be careful and not just buy anything "on sale" assuming it's a good deal, that's all.

LNT is the only one around here.

Remember to watch out for inflated prices. This one is unbelievable: Fisher-Price Shake & Go Speedway: At Kohls the "regular price" is $70?!!! Their "half price" sale is going to give you a price $1 higher than you'll get at amazon.com right now. http://www.kohls.com/products/product_page_vanilla0.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=236351783&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=10204075&bmUID=1132067668404 At amazon.com it's going for $40 regular price, on sale for $34: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/stores/detail/-/toys/B0007WWZJA/qid%3D1132067707/sr%3D11-1/ref%3Dsr%5F11%5F1/103-8187447-7299850

I've seen that one and want it too...but I think I may have to go with the Step 2. It's more money but I have several instore-only coupons and the darn thing is only available online--and the Step 2 is available in the store. And after the extra $30 to ship the Little Tikes one, it's the same price as the Step 2 in the store. Grrr. If I find anything I'll definitely post about it but right now it looks like the only way to get a deal is buy a different brand in the store and use coupons.

It means that this website, gottadeal.com, is where the ad list came from. The 10.21 is the date the ad was put out. It's a way of sneaking GottaDeal into the list that other websites have, showing that it originally came from here.

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!! There is no Jet Blue in Nashville or anywhere remotely near here. Which means I can't fly home. At those prices I would fly home for Christmas. 4 plane tickets at those prices would actually be affordable. But I can only arrive home...I can't leave here! So it doesn't work. This is an AWESOME deal for people with JetBlue though.

Do you actually quit shopping when your "list" is finished?
outnumbered replied to abentley's topic in 2005
Yep, once everyone is bought for I stop spending money. I can't afford to buy things for no reason. -
My favorite was baking a certain kind of Christmas cookie with my mom and grandma. It was definitely at least a 2-person job so I have been unable to make them out here and I sure do miss it. My mom has sent me some of the cookies every year so at least I get to have them, but I miss spending two days in the kitchen with family members to make them.

It sounds like a great idea. I haven't ever decorated outside while living here but I remember my dad getting up on a ladder and walking around on the roof back home in years past. This sounds much safer!
-
Nope--never heard of doing that.

Do You have your Christmas tree Lights Flashing or NonFlashing
outnumbered replied to ohio_gal1959's topic in 2005
Nonflashing for the tree, but I just love the outdoor lights that blink or look like they're moving in a line. -
Link your favorite FREE Christmas download here.....thanks Marcster!

Gator Pam, why do you leave the i in Christmas out? I am aware of that being done to the word "God," in the Jewish culture, because there is some tenet against actually writing/saying the name, but I haven't heard of any Christian groups that do that to Jesus/Christ/etc. Just curious... -
You can do holiday-themed crafts with your older ones. Your youngest doesn't HAVE to participate in everything--there is naptime, LOL. I have 3 as well, ages 5 (almost 6), 4 and 2. I bake a lot with my boys and this year the 2 y/o might be helping too. We'll see. She is into EVERYTHING like my oldest was at her age and so it may be easier to just do all the baking at naptime this year still. But there are all kinds of crafts out there. Your 10 y/o might enjoy painting one of those porcelein houses--they make painted Christmas villages and unpainted ones you can do yourself. There are those suncatchers you can hang on your window. Make paper snowflakes and tape them up to the window. Play Christmas music and decorate the house, not just the tree. Let the 10 y/o help with some of the gift wrapping. I have the fondest memories of my mom and I locking ourselves in her bedroom (to keep other family members out), sitting down at a card table and wrapping gifts for an hour or two. Watch some holiday movies--maybe one night a week, let the older 2 stay up late, have hot chocolate and cookies (or milk and cookies if they don't like hot chocolate--my kids won't drink anything warm) and watch a Christmas movie. Oooh, I should print this out for me, LOL, so I remember my own ideas.

I don't and I'm not sure if anyone does out here. Back home, in my parents' neighborhood, there are some streets where everyone goes all-out with light displays and cars come from all over to drive through and look. A few pickup trucks loaded up with people will go by with everyone singing Christmas carols to the other cars and to the people walking through the neighborhood on the sidewalk. There are kids selling hot chocolate for 50 cents a cup too...it was so much fun...man I miss home.
-
It's all done by me, but I like it that way. Well, I wish dh could shop for his parents, but other than that, I like to do all the shopping.
-
LOL...I have a fund...but not for Christmas.
-
Where is this store?
-
I think some ads were out MUCH earlier this year than last year...and then there are a few that have taken some time to come out as well. Looking forward to seeing which ones are up next!
-
Nope. My family members are lucky to get presents, LOL, with my budget...I can't do random neighborhood workers too.

I like "Oi to the World"--both the original by the Vandals, and the cover by No Doubt. Here is a link to a free download of No Doubt's version--I have not tested this so I don't know if it works: http://www.emp3world.com/mp3/15578/No%20Doubt/Oi%20To%20The%20World -
What Do You Put In Your Child's Christmas Stocking?
outnumbered replied to treasure60's topic in 2005
One candy cane and some chocolate Christmas candy, usually a few small action figures or other toys and a movie. This year I want to do the $8 lightsabers--either the lightsabers and a movie, or the lightsabers and a couple small toys. Not sure yet; depends on if I can get any of those $3.99 movies at BB on BF. -
What is the farthest you have sent a Christmas gift?
outnumbered replied to treasure60's topic in 2005
To Iraq. -
I don't know, LOL! My list keeps changing.
-
LMAO, that's sad. I hope people realize all they have to do is google and they can find gottadeal and the ads here for free! It'd be really lame if someone actually paid for that.
