  1. Mine came today.
  2. That's an awfully small graphic...I can't tell what you ordered or how much it cost. But I'm not sure I want to know, I'll probably be jealous LOL.
  3. I bought the first CD individually about a year ago and paid $5 for it. So I really don't need that CD, only the second. But for the price...shoot, I may have to buy it anyway! Also--all the singing is in Australian accents. :)
  4. ROFL. I'm guessing you did not see my rant the other day about them. I did get free pizza out of it, but after waiting two hours for food, my night was pretty much ruined. The kids were in horrible moods and the second they were done eating they had to go to bed--it was not a fun night. I love the taste of Papa John's pizza; it is by far the best out of any big chain. But it's going to be awhile before I order from them again. It was the first time I had problems getting my food promptly but now I'm going to be too nervous of a repeat problem. And I'm still upset they told me the food was on its way only to have them tell dh 15 min later that it was marked as a carry-out order. I absolutely cannot stand people who lie to me.
  5. AAARRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHH. My order didn't go through. It said I could try by phone, so I did. The girl on the phone said the "FS" code only worked on internet orders; they have no way of giving anyone that deal over the phone. So I tried again online and it won't let me place any orders, because "your last order was placed less than 15 minutes ago. You must currently contact your local store by phone to place any additional orders." I'm hoping that in a few minutes, it'll have passed the 15-minute mark and will let me do it...otherwise it looks like I am just plain not meant to have pizza tonight. Edit: Well, I tried again, and it still won't go through. I'm so mad...I'm going to complain. The website specifically says that my order didn't go through but I can place it by calling the restaurant...then the restaurant won't take the coupon codes or give me the deal. I don't understand my horrible luck with pizza lately.
  6. The 61 coupon did not work for me, but the FS coupon did. Actually, what I did was use another pizza coupon, since the 61 coupon didn't work, and I am getting 2 medium 1-topping pizzas for $10.99. I used the FS coupon twice and am getting 2 orders of breadsticks free. I can only do carryout when ordering online but after my Papa John's fiasco I'm quite willing to go get my own food, even though I'll have to take all 3 kids along.
  7. Dh is in the field this week so it's just me and the kids till Friday. I think I know what I'm doing for dinner tomorrow, LOL! Although it'd have to be carry-out for me. The local Pizza Hut doesn't do online orders for delivery but they accept them for carry-out.
  8. Does it vary by county? It's 9.5% in Clarksville and I refuse to buy anything big there. I'll go to Hopkinsville or buy at the PX, if they have what I want.
  9. TN sales tax sucks, but if I shop online I get to use my KY residential address for my purchases and the sales tax here is only 6% or so. Funny how I officially live in KY but my daughter, who was born on Fort Campbell (KY), has a TN birth certificate and I do almost all my B&M shopping in TN. But when I shop at the PX I pay no tax. And DoD schools are supposedly very highly rated. Not sure about the local public schools. And our housing is free. Well, we get paid extra for it, then it gets taken out of his pay before we see it, so it's virtually free.
  10. Oooh, skipping the sales tax on a big-ticket item is GREAT when the sales tax you don't pay is 9.5%! (Man, TN sucks in that department!)
  11. Two things I'd wonder about those extra-big SUVs: 1) How bad is the gas mileage? Minivans really aren't that bad and SUVs in general are. 2) When there are 3 rows of seating, do you have any cargo space left? I need all 3 rows of seats in my minivan and I also need room for the stroller, groceries, etc. I've seen some SUVs that advertise they seat "up to" 7 or 8 but the 3rd row basically eliminates all cargo space.
  12. And I'm sure you know, but pay attention to mileage. A 2-year-old car with 60,000 miles won't last you as long as a 4-year-old car with 30,000. So the Toyota that is older and the Dodge that is brand new may be even in price but make sure the Toyota's miles are still nice and low. I have found that cars start falling apart once they pass about 60,000. If all you'll do is drive around on post, ok, but if you're making cross-country trips to visit family, you'll hit that magic "fall apart" mark a lot faster. EDIT: Also, about the FCFCU: They finance 90% of what they determine to be the value of the vehicle. The remaining cost is your down payment. They go by NADA values for the most part. So it might be good to see what the vehicles you're looking at are worth at www.nada.org.
  13. Good job. They always try to screw over the stupid people and it's so nice to go in there totally knowing your stuff. Hey, I just got all curious, remembering there was someone here at Black Friday talking about vacuums or carpet cleaners or something, so I did a search and it was you! LOL. I was all happy to run into someone from here back in November too. Well, I'm happy you're still here, ROFL. I'm the one that was camped out at Sears while you were in that PX line.
  14. I like our Caravan a lot. It's our first vehicle with power windows, etc. and I really like that! It's roomy enough for all of us (2 boys and a girl, ages 5, 3 and 1...and then dh and I of course), I can put the double stroller plus two weeks' worth of groceries in the back...it's great. We've had an issue lately of the driver's side window getting stuck down but we got the credit union's extended warranty on it so we can have that fixed for free. Nothing else wrong with it. And Carmax was pretty easy to deal with, considering I was financing through the credit union and doing so via power of attorney since dh was deployed but it had to be in both our names as he has the job LOL.
  15. Good plan. The farther away from the base you get, the better the deals are too. The local places are mainly geared towards the single soldiers with money to burn. As you get closer to Nashville or Bowling Green the prices tend to get better. We got a 2000 Grand Caravan in 2003 for under $12000...with warranty, financing, etc we're paying around $250/mo. So I'd be wary of something costing you $400/mo unless it's brand-spanking new. We've been here 3 years. Off post for 6 months, on post for 2.5 yrs.
  16. Also, Mara--see what kind of interest rate the dealer can give you and then check with the credit union on post. The credit union is touting themselves as having lower interest rates. Or, get whatever the dealer will give you, and then take advantage of the credit union's offer to lower interest by 2% if you refinance with them...they offer that deal every so often.
  17. Mara! You're here too?! Um, I mean, I don't know you--but I haven't seen anyone else here at Campbell at gottadeal.com so I'm excited! For what it's worth, we got our minivan (Dodge Grand Caravan) down at Carmax in Nashville. The local places are all horrible, or at least they were when I was looking. Vans with 80,000 miles were going for over $10K. Stay away from 41-A! LOL
  18. Thank you Lots of sites had it for $29.99 or more. Hadn't seen the code!
  19. I think you are including car booster seats in that...I only saw 9 feeding booster seats at target.com and the highest price is $29.99. Unfortunately it has to be the Cooshie Booster; that is what my 3-year-old has and she just loves it. Takes it off his chair, carries it around the living room...she needs one just like it that is "hers." But thanks for the 10% off link. I'm sure there will be something else I need/want that I can use it for. :) This is the Cooshie Booster, the one my 3-year-old has. I would just get the same exact one but I was hoping we could have hers be purple, which amazon doesn't sell, so that I can at least tell the seats apart. (That helps break up the "mine!" fights.) I hope I'm not being a pain!
  20. I'm looking for the Cooshie Booster brand booster seat, and it needs to be in purple. My one-year-old has decided she wants to eat at the table like the rest of us, and keeps trying to steal her brother's Cooshie Booster. So apparently it's time to get her one of her own. Need the lowest price inc. shipping to 42223. Thanks. :)
  21. They probably have a similar deal to doctors' offices for "cash patients." If you do not have health insurance and go to the doctor, let's say your office visit costs $60. Well, if you have health insurance, they bill your insurance a lot more--maybe $100 for that same office visit. Then your insurance has a deal where they pay 80% of the doctor's fees, so they get $80 from the insurance but still bill you $20. So...maybe the pharmacy has a similar deal, and what they charge cash patients just happens to be less than your copay. Strange, but it works, I guess...you got them nice and cheap. Insurance issues are always nice and confusing.
  22. Sounds good to me :)
  23. Well, I broke down and went out today after all. Good thing I did--there was hardly anything left! What did people do, buy up the store at 8 am? I was there at noon and the shelves were nearly empty! We only bought wrapping paper at Target but at Walmart we scored a lot...a nice 7.5 foot prelit tree in only 3 pieces (no branches to individually assemble) for $50 and a nativity scene for under $5, among other things. We'll have some nice decorations next year. And I wound up spending part of my Old Navy gift card on my son...sigh. They didn't have the jeans I wanted in my size, and I didn't like any of the tops they had, but they had some jeans cute jeans and a shirt I liked for the almost-5-year-old on sale so I got those. The remaining balance is going to be saved for those jeans, whenever they get them in stock again. And since he only got one outfit yesterday that he can wear (his other gifts are way off, size-wise, and bought at stores out of state. Ugh) he really did need me to get him something else. All in all a very decent day shopping.
  24. Ok, how about this one: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0000D8GGS Looks like Amazon has a really good deal on it already, but maybe someone else has it even cheaper?
  25. I've been using my digital all year and got out the regular one for Christmas...and discovered it is *crap!* It was very cheap when I got it and is something like 7 or 8 years old. I need a new one. (Or do I? I do have the digital...is a regular camera unnecessary now?) What I'd like in a camera is the ability to turn the flash on or off, or at least auto flash. My digital flashes every single time, even outside, which seems stupid to me. I'd also like to be able to zoom in. Other than that, I have no features I really need. I'm thinking of using Christmas money on this and want to know what the cheapest *decent* camera goes for. Thanks.
