  1. Woo Hoo..got $11.50!
  2. Yeah, it's becoming a common occurance checking out the kids toys every couple of weeks for recalled items. Almost makes me not want to hunt for clearanced toys... I found 27 ct Bic Mechanical pencils hidden underneath piles of book covers for 75% off ($1.46). These are great to keep in the car for the kids as they like to draw and I don't have to worry about sharpening them. I didn't see any of the 5 meg Polaroid cameras that were on an endcap clearanced. Did they salvage them already? They had a display of regular priced ones (99.99) but I didn't check the packaging closely to see if they were the same ones, I know sometimes they mark things back to regular price. Anyone else still have these at their stores?
  3. I took a couple of these gardening tools to Target tonight and they didn't have any info on the recall. The lady at guest services said something about is was mentioned in a morning meeting but until they get numbers and such, to hold onto my stuff and come back later. Also, just got an email about another Thomas and Friends recall just issued, I think a piece from the Cranky the Crane set that was part of the last big toy clearance is on there. Check http://recalls.rc2.com
  4. Hooray, I got a Wii today. It's ironic, before my inlaws told me they wanted to get one for the kids I would always see them at Target or Toys R Us. But of course as soon as I needed to buy one, they were sold out everywhere. The guy at SuperTarget said they got in 300 less than a month ago and are now down to 15, which irks me because I called this store last week and the person I talked to said they didn't have any! Anyway, I want to get my husband a game for Christmas. I'm new to the whole Wii thing...are there any good shooting games for adults?
  5. Found several of the Crayola big coloring books for $1.48 (75%), although the sticker said 30%. The Cars one is 081040292 and Disney Princess is 081040293. They were on an endcap in craft section. School supply area had only folders and notebooks, but I saw boxes filled with school supplies on a cart. Wasn't sure if they were packed up to be donated, or brought in to be put on the floor. I guess I'll have to go back later tonight to check. Had a problem with check out though. I bought two Spiderman bandaid bonus packs for 50% off ($2.48),and had two $.50 Mfgr coupons. The cashier wouldn't let me use both because the coupon was "limit one per purchase." I told her yes, but I'm purchasing two and it didn't say limit one per transaction. She was seriously thinking about it, shaking her head, and not wanting to let me use both coupons. Finally I said, they ring them up separately. Again, she looked like I was asking for her firstborn child. All this over a $.50 coupon! She finally gave in, and rang the other box of bandaids separately. Target really needs to better train the cashiers on coupon redemption policies.
  6. Orlando area is 75% off backpacks and school supplies. Got the 7-8 person Greatland tent (couldn't find any of the Eddie Bauer ones) for $24.xx at 75%. The store had four of them but the stickers all said 50%. Decided to check the price cause I know it would've bugged me all the way home if I hadn't. After lugging the heavy tent to three different scanners, they don't have the ones where you can key in numbers, I struck gold! So glad I decided to double check the price. And for anyone in O-town looking for the Schwinn bike trailers, they had at least four of them marked 75% off.
  7. I was so excited today because I found a few of the AXE bonus packs that I thought I missed out on a couple of weeks ago. But then they scanned item not found, so I asked an employee if they could tell me how much they were (this sticker was 15% but I knew they went down to 50%). He said the last price was $3.74, but because it's coming up item not found I can't buy it. WTF???? Then he went on to say that even though I may have bought items that have been purged from the system before, I shouldn't have been able to because they can get in trouble for it. Instead of backing down, I asked if I could ask a manager if I could buy them. He told me take take it up to the registers and ask for a manager, but he still didn't think I could. So I went to a register (meanwhile he was watching me the whole way), told the cashier they were coming up item not found, and before I could ask for a manager, she proceeded to look up the last price and ring the three packs I had. No fuss, no confrontation, so easy. I guess from now on, I'm not going to bother asking anyone the price; I'll just take it up to the register and the cashier can price it for me!
  8. Has anyone seen these in the Orlando area? This would be perfect for my brother who starting bicycling but has a small car so doesn't venture out to bike trails. I would be a hero on Christmas!
  9. Finally got the Suncast storage deck benches today for $22.xx. I was confused because I had checked a couple of stores that had them for $49.99 and $69.99 (50 gal. and 75 gal.) so I didn't know if they just weren't marked down yet. The difference was the clearanced ones are the storage benches with a back. The new ones that are reg. price are just standard storages without a backing. I was happy to find two at 75% off regardless.
  10. The school supplies were at 30% for two weeks. Now everything is at 50%, with the exception of notebooks and folders, which are at 75%. Hoping the backpacks go to 75% next week!
  11. Backpacks and lunch packs went 50% off today. Also found the girl's inline skates for $6.xx (75% off), and lots of tools to keep an eye on (currently 30%).
  12. Just got one today, it was in the back to school clearance aisle, along with other art and craft clearance items that used to be in the craft section. I'd check the school supply clearance section.
  13. I went today looking for buy some on clearance too and they priced checked for me two different ones, 73 gal and smaller one. The prices were $69.99 and $49.99, respectively. Do you think they just aren't marked down yet, or did they get another wave of them that are regular priced? What size is the one that everone is getting for $22?
  14. Just got back from several CVS's and got 2pk propanes on clearance for $1.74! We can always use them for camping or hurricane supplies. A couple of the stores still had them priced at $6.99, but when I asked the price they rang up $1.74 so even if they are not clearance priced, double check.
  15. went to target yesterday and by pure luck saw the clearance team marking down the pool stuff 75%. They had four 18' metal sided pools. Came back two hours later with DH and his truck, they had already sold two! $125 for a $500 pool is a cheap entertainment investment. Luckily in FL we can pretty much use it 9 mths out of the year so the kids will be thrilled. But if they get bored after the novelty wears off, it was only $125!! Also saw lots of different window sheers on clearance for 50%, fans 30%, school stuff still 30%, tents 50%, and next major obsession to stalk is the Polaroid 5 meg camera (20%).
  16. I saw it at a SuperTarget tonight as well. It was 20% off on an endcap in Electronics. I've never seen 20% off, is this something new?
  17. Went to Goldenrod Target to get one of the electric shavers I had been keeping an eye on for the last three weeks, but they must have gone to 75% yesterday because they were all gone today. I hate when you miss out on stuff you've been watching. The school supplies were 30%, and swimming stuff was still only 30% even though the pools and water guns were 50% off. Wouldn't they all get marked down together? (I did scan a floatie just to be sure and it was only 30%)
  18. I was at Waterford ST and they had a few 10' X 30" blow up type pools, not the metal sided ones. They were in one of the aisles in sporting goods, next to the clearance swimming stuff. It was marked down 30%, sorry I can't remember the price though.
  19. Electric shavers are still only 50% but was able to find the three cascade complete 2-in-1 action packs clearanced 50% to $4.08 for 50pk plus had three $1 off mfr coupons that I was able to use before expiring 8/30!!! I love when i find clearance items that i can use soon to expire coupons on:D
  20. I've only seen the metal sided pools on clearance, haven't seen any blow up ones. And this was at Oviedo and FL Mall, in addition to the ones you went to.
  21. Yeah, I'm actually closer to the Waterford ST but their clearance is bad. I hardly ever see things going to 75%, I guess they're so busy they don't need to go that low. I also frequent Goldenrod store, I bet we've perimeter perused right past each other! They had 2 pk mosquito repellant at 75% off ($1.24) on an end cap near lawn and garden. That's about it for clearance lately. I guess that next great mad clearance rush will be back to school stuff and Halloween.
  22. i was just at the oviedo store and they had one box of the pampers cruisers size 6. the goldenrod store had about five boxes the other day, but when i went back the next day to look at the father's day stuff (for whatever reason they put it on an endcap in the baby section) it was wiped out. i'm going to the fl mall target today or tomorrow, i'll keep you posted it they have any.
  23. woo hoo! the playwonder stuff was 75% finally at the goldenrod store. i was scared at first because they removed the entire aisle from the toy section so i thought they got rid of it all. they moved it near automotive, and must have just marked it down this morning because they had a lot of stuff: umbrellas 1.24 water squirt guns .98 various bubble guns .74-1.74 shovels .74 picnic table 14.xx wasn't able to get the box of pampers cruisers for 13.00, but that's okay because i got all the playwonder stuff i had been waiting for. also, the father's day stuff (binoculars, magnetic dart set, alarm clocks, shower radio, etc.) was 75% off too.
