  1. I bought this before Christmas on Amazon when they were doing their crazy toy deals. I paid $8.xx for it, which was an awesome deal at the time. I should've checked to see if Target carried it and then waited to buy it on clearance afterwards. I didn't even give it my son for Christmas, I stored it away and forgot I bought it!
  2. I didn't read it completely through, but after I saw the temp is only room temp. 55-65, I passed. I don't drink wine so I would've gotten as a soda frige too. But I like my soda really cold.
  3. That's funny, I cook turkey just once or twice a year and told myself I really didn't need it when it was 50% off. But then after reading on here all the people who were so excited about getting it, I found myself all giddy when I saw it today. And after reading the instructions, you can cook a lot of other things in it too. But it is big, I don't know where I'm going to put it! I figure for $14.xx, as long as I use it once or twice a year and maybe some friends or relatives would borrow it, it was worth it. I was bummed about Hello Kitty only being 30%. I wonder if the other Targets are the same? I plan on going back tomorrow mid-morning, I'll post with an update on toy clearance.
  4. I want the CARS Arcade set but it's only 30% off. It was put in the toys clearance section, but I know it really is part of sporting goods. You think it will go straight to 75% when they do the sporting goods markdown? I want it for my son's birthday party, all the little kids would love it! Also, don't know if you're interested in any adult sporting goods stuff, by mine had a lot of camping stuff at 30% off. I'm keeping my eye on the Coleman Propane stove, 2 room tent that was advertised in the sales ad for $81 (30% clearance), and some sleeping bags. Luckily event though the tent is in the sales ad, it's apparently not selling because they still have like 7 or 8 of them. Do they usually markdown the very next week if it's been in a sales ad?
  5. I think it was the only one. I checked the regular aisle in case there was more up high, like other people had said, but I didn't see any. They had a lot of clearance toys though, and I'm looking to get only a few things so hopefully if I don't get there until later in the day when it goes 75%, I'll still be okay. I know E. Colonial is where you usually go, how's their toy clearance section? Also, Hello Kitty stuff was marked as still only 30%, although I didn't have time to scan to verify.
  6. Last year, I went in the morning to a store everyone thought for sure was 75% off because all the other stores nearby had already gone the week before. This lady, who had three young kids with her, started just throwing stuff into her cart like she had just won a timed shopping spree. She was frantically loading her two carts, paying no attention to her kids who were constantly wondering away. I would've not even attempted this unless my kids were in lockdown in the carts, too much stress! She was overflowing with toys, excessively. I overheard her phone conversation as she was walking away that she was going to make a killing on ebay with the stuff she just got. Well, to my surprise when I scanned an item (and I'm sure hers when she made it to checkout), it was still only 50%!!!! At least I only had to put back three things
  7. Anyone know if toys in the Orlando area is 75% off? It was still 30-50% this morning at the Goldenrod Target, but last year one of the stores went 75% in the afternoon.
  8. Can anyone confirm the boxed sets of silver or gold banded mugs and cups in silver or gold boxes are part of the clearance along with the plates, flatware, etc? I've been eyeing the mugs but everytime I scan them, they come up full price os $19.99. They are located on the endcaps with the other red stickered clearance boexed partyware. I asked, very nicely, a markdown person about it (who was rather b*tchy); she just told me to just scan it.
  9. Just got back from Winter Park Target. Toys aren't 75%. But it was a great trip as I got the Rival Stainless Steel Roaster and a platter with silver stand for 75% off. And if anyone is looking for the Vino wine cooler, they had one for 75% off ($24.75). I missed the 90% Christmas, and they had nothing left. I also found the Cranium Pop game that came up Item Not Found in the toy clearance. They gave it to me for 75% off last price, $6.25. Is this what everyone else paid?
  10. The Goldenrod Target in Winter Park is 75%. An employee told me it would be 90% tomorrow so I guess I'll be back there tomorrow. Did find today at 75%: Connect Four travel game, PlayDoh in candy cane packaging, and table cloth. I didn't think they would be there tomorrow. Also, found some toddler rain boots @ 50%. Most toys were 30-50% still, and the red rubbermaid containers are still 30%. I did think about picking up the silver party box of 12 mugs, but it scanned at full price, 19.99! Guess they missed those when doing the markdowns on the rest of the silver boxed entertaining ware. Would they make the adjustment at the register?
  11. I need to buy a lot of restaurant giftcards for work. Does anyone know who has the best giftcard promotions, i.e. free giftcard with xx giftcard purchase, % off if buy $xx in giftcards, etc..

  13. I just got $12 extra care rewards in the mail today. It came in a double folded mailer that said they were sorry if I had problems printing out my quarterly reward last month, and if not, use them as a reward for being a loyal extra care customer. Sweet! Did anyone else get this mailer?
  14. if there was, it would usually say limit x ecb per card
  15. yeah, thanks. i also placed an order yesterday and called today to get the $10 giftcard.
  16. thanks, awesome deal with the coupons. do you know what the limit is on the ecb's?
  17. the only thing holding me back on purchasing this player is that it says it only plays -r/-rw, doesn't list +r/+rw also. has anyone successfully played any + formats?
  18. scratch that, it can be picked up, but the price is $199.99, not $169.99. have the prices not updated yet?
  19. the toshiba hd dvd player is showing out of stock!
  20. I bought the Sony one at Target a couple of weeks ago and so far no problems. MUCH better than the Audiovox (I did buy the 3yr warranty though just in case). I see that Circuit City will have it on BF for $189.99 (same price as Target) with a $50 giftcard; wish I would have waited. I don't know anything on the Phillips. But one advantage on the Sony one is it has a swivel screen so you can turn it around and lay flat against the body, and the control panel is still accessible. Nice feature with little kids, it's more manageable for them.

    bf online sale

could someone direct me to the circuit city online bf sale link? i have searched the bf online forum but could not find a sticky for circuit city. are they doing one?
  22. also, the bf ad picture is wrong. it is the same one as online with glass lids.
  23. i just picked up my order at the store today. i was also worried about the giftcard not showing up since it did say "instantly". i called LNT cust serv twice, first person told me it would be emailed within 48 hrs and second person told me it would be mailed. so when i went to pick up my order, i was prepared to cancel if i didn't get the giftcard. the mgr had to be called because they couldn't process the free cutlery set and giftcard. he said the BF special they are doing in the stores will be the same thing ($50 giftcard). so he just cancelled the online order and re-rang it up with an override so i could get the special early. so be prepared, you might have to do the same thing if you're picking it up. but ultimately you'll leave with the $50 giftcard!
  24. Audiovox IS total junk. I previously bought both the single portable dvd player and the dual screen one. Both were returned. So many problems with both. Sometimes the dvd wouldn't load, or the screen would freeze. Also skipping was problemsome if you plan on using it in the car. You should definitely get the 3yr replacement warranty. Although your kids will out a dvd player while you wait to get check and get another one.
  25. i just found the ad on another website and it is also $199.99, but the lids are different. Their solid, not glass. It didn't give specifics on the triple bonus. I want the glass lids so I ordered this one, and used 20% off (nov1207 exp 11/21) and got it for $170.39 after tax. GREAT DEAL, thanks OP!
