SOLD OUT! Sharp 56" DLP for $999 - CostCo.com
RossMAN replied to brian's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
Like batojefe said, it's a 50/50 shot but I think there will be some deals available. DLP and LCD prices have been steadily dropping over time. For example, I know someone who bought the Olevia 537H for $999 on 10/14/2006. On 11/24/2006 that same TV was on sale for $699 + shipping at JR.com, that's an amazing $300 in savings!!! While you're waiting for another hot deal, I would recommend researching which TV technology and size you want. You have a lot of choices, DLP, LCD, Plasma, and LCoS are the most popular. -
Need a laptop, maybe Toshiba?

What's your budget? CC has a laptop for $399 after rebate but it's been on sale since Sunday, so it's sold out in most areas. -
Your friend doesn't need a DVD camcorder to share videos online or burn them to DVD. Look for a MiniDV camcorder which connects to your desktop or laptop via FireWire cable. Your desktop or laptop will need a FireWire card which is around $30 and can easily be installed. After you transfer the movie from camcorder to PC, you can edit it, burn it to DVD or share it online. MiniDV is the most popular format, offers the biggest selection and best prices. What's their budget?

It's only in some areas and I don't know which areas those are. My advice is to call your local Blockbuster and ask them. I just called two BB's in Rome, GA and they have it for $21.99 with a collectable tin. (706) 378-1170 (706) 234-4595 -

Since you already have a monitor, this would be a perfect computer for the kids. If you have high speed internet, this has an ethernet port. Or if you use dialup this has an internal 56k dialup modem. Yep. There's a $150 and $50 rebate, follow the instructions carefully, make copies of everything and mail it off. -
