I'm not looking to buy one currently as I already own a 1900FP and 2005FPW. It would just be nice to have the popular 17", 19" and 20" LCD's on display. Also I wish they had Dell Latitude laptops but that's their business line not home office.

He works at a Dell Direct Store (hence DDS) Fortunately we have a few here in Oregon. I was able to see the Dell Inspiron 700m laptop in person before placing an order. I just wish they carried the major flat panel LCD's as well.

That's a tough call, these are great prices. If Dell releases another $750 off $1499 with no restrictions (certain e-value codes) then that is worth waiting for. However none of us works for Dell marketing and our crystal ball is still in the shop.

In recent memory the lowest prices on Dell LCD's have been 1704FPT for $200 and 1905FP for $252 (plus $20 filler). These deals might return later this month if your uncle can wait. Does your uncle have a CostCo or Sam's Club nearby?
