I usually visit Target and Walmart the day after Christmas for their clearance sales. 40-90% off is the norm, there are some awesome bargains out there.

I plead the 5th

What a great question, we need more members like you around here :) These are topics which should be discussed instead of weather or what are you wearing? This has never happened to me and I wouldn't want it to. Everyone behind you would be mighty pissed.

You probably won't find a deal like this online right now. My suggestion is to wait until the Black Friday ads are leaked in a few weeks.
-
In my past experiences there are 3 things which help maintain the peace and order: 1) Other people in line are NOT going to get you wiggle your way in. That is totally rude, disrespectful and others will not tolerate it when they've been in line for hours. 2) Usually 30 minutes before the store opens they have 2-3 staff outside to help co-ordinate a single file line into the store when it opens. 3) For limited quantity items they hand out tickets so you can claim it. If you really want the $199 laptop and you're 120th in line, you won't get it. If you REALLY want an item, my suggestion is to get there EARLY.

Do you have a link or know where to get this coupon?

Congratulations :) I like how small it is, it's wall mountable and has caller ID.

You're kidding me. On Thanksgiving day at 10PM they already had 400 people in line --- 8 hours before they open? Hardcore.

to the GottaDeal forums :) These topics have already been discussed. In the future please use the search feature before creating a new thread to avoid reposts. What time do you get in line? You're right, some stores will have a limited supply of popular items. Best Buy normally has 5-10 of an item which is in high demand. If you're not within the first 30 people in line, your choices aren't as good. How early you should get in line and which store to visit first depends on a few unknown factors: What items do you really want? Rank them in order of importance, the most important should be first. The Black Friday 2005 ads for the major retailers haven't been leaked yet, so we don't know what's available. The area you live in and how popular other stores are.Believe it or not, weather on Black Friday. If it's rainy and cold I think people are less inclined to wait a few hours in cold wet weather.Traffic, hopefully that won't be an issue at 2-3AM.How popular the items you want are and how many each store has in stock. This is only an example: If Best Buy only has 5 laptops for $199 in stock and you really really want a laptop, then you should go there first.Consider getting your family members, friends and co-workers to help you. You need to form a game plan but that cannot be done until the BF ads are leaked which is a few weeks away.I hope that helps and welcome again to the forums :) Ross

Corded or cordless phone?

We would need independant verification, so bring a dated newspaper with you
-
It depends on who the rebate clearing house is. CostCo, Microsoft and other rebates are awesome taking only 4 weeks.
-
I would love a white Christmas but it's highly unlikely here.

The checkout lines at Best Buy are VERY long. They go past the CD, DVD, small electronics way into appliances. A good 250 people deep and it moves slowly. Takes about 1 hour to reach the cashier.
-
It's a combination of fun, exciting and chaotic all at the same time.
-
I try to go for items I actually plan on using or giving away as a gift. Rebates can be such a hassle.
-
I thought they come premade and they just heat them up?
-
Do I feel bad? Of course not.
