  1. ran over to Taget this a.m. NOTHING marked down. Candy still 30/ other stuff 50. *sigh*
  2. The soaps were with the regular halloween stuff for me. They had orange striped ones with two pumpkins on the front. I think they had black ones too??? Can't remember. but I think it had candy on it. HTH!
  3. our candy was only 30% and other halloween stuff was 50%. Got some treat bags, playdoh, and puzzles at 50%, but I'll wait on the candy. On a happy sidenote, I went to return the first DDR wii Disney ($50) because I had to purchase the second one at 34.95 to get the lower price. She scanned it and said, Wow! It's like $17! I said, "I know (from here) it's been marked down every time I walk in the store. Can I just re-buy it?" She said that was fine and just bring back the other one I bought ($35). Done! So overall, good trip, but I was bummed the candy wasn't cheaper. I guess I'll just have to go back to return the other DDR and buy candy. darn.
  4. spending time with my sister. I don't get to see her much, but we are both all about the BF shopping experience. It's fun and then we get lunch together. Our family thinks we are crazy, but it's fun for us and something special we get to share.
  5. It was on the back endcap with the electronics clearance stuff. They also had Sing It and some other games.
  6. My MIL's recipe. Seriously, the best brownies I've ever had and I'm not allowed to bring anything else to gatherings now! LOL I use disposable 13 x 9 cake pans. These also freeze really well. Memaw’s Killer Brownies 1 package chocolate cake mix-- just the mix 2/3 cup evaporated milk (1 small can) 3/4 cup melted butter 1 cup chopped nuts 1-1½ cups chocolate chips 14 oz. Milky Ways, regular or dark (I use the fun size bags) Preheat oven to 350° . Mix together cake mix, 1/3 cup milk, and butter. Stir in chopped nuts. Pat 1/2 of the batter in a 13x9 inch ungreased pan. Bake for 8 minutes. Remove from oven and cool slightly. Melt, in microwave, the Milky Ways with 1/3 cup milk. Stir until smooth. Pour the Milky Way mixture over the cooked brownie. Sprinkle chocolate chips over the Milky Ways. Drop the remaining batter into the pan, covering the bottom layer. Bake for 21-23 minutes. Cool (I stick them in the fridge or freezer for a bit) and cut into squares
  7. Not sure if this has already been posted.... This morning found Found Dance, Dance Revolution Wii Disney for 34.95. (VA) It was 50ish last week. I don't have my receipt handy, so I don't have any numbers. Let me know if anyone needs them.
  8. Came on here to post the same question. :) This is the year of the LEGO for us. My 5 1/2 year old loves them. I scored an office box full of Star Wars and Batman sets at a yard sale this past Spring. FOUR dollars. So we have a great start for very little money. But now he wants more and I'd love to get him more basic blocks.
  9. Lowes had a bunch of swings still. Overall, Walmart was pretty bare in our area. Kmart had the most, by FAR for our area. Target had one set, and it wasn't great. Lowes had some stuff, but more $$ than Kmart. I got 4 chairs and 2 sidetables from this set: http://s.sears.com/is/image/Sears/028W332534110001 chairs were $37, tables were $24 I think. very happy with my purchase.
  10. Thanks! Scored 4 armchairs and 2 side tables for 70% off. yeah! perfect.
  11. I don't think so. I'm in Central/Western Virginia, I think that's the best description! lol outside of Charlottesville.
  12. yah, like i said... a few weeks ago I probably could have found something. Maybe for a Labor Day Sale?
  13. I'm probably a day late and a dollar short on this, but thought I'd throw it out there. Hubby suggested maybe we could get a new patio set on clearance. uugh, maybe like a few weeks ago.... so I haven't seen any sets lately, but haven't really been looking. Anyone know where I can find a clearanced patio set- conversation, wicker style, loveseat, chairs, etc? I'd even settle for a cheap dinning set. We already have an umbrella, but no major furniture since we sold it last summer pre-move. We are a bit in the country, so not a lot of stores to choose from. Thanks for any help!
  14. My ds4 wants one every time he sees the commercial. I grabbed my hubby's fleece robe and gave it to him backwards and said "see?!" we already have one!! I'm just waiting for the Roll N Grow to start showing again. My son was always worried about me hurting my back gardening! LOL
  15. found a pic: http://www.amazon.com/Gorilla-Rack-Steel-Framed-Shelving-Unit/dp/B000OQ3Y76/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=hi&qid=1231731279&sr=8-1 http://www.amazon.com/Gorilla-Rack-Steel-Framed-Shelving-Unit/dp/B000OQ3Y76/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=hi&qid=1231731279&sr=8-1
  16. Costco has heavy duty metal ones called Gorilla Racks, I think they are $70ish. They are more pricey but great quality. They hold a ton of weight and adjustable, we have the huge plastic tubs on the bottom and smaller storage on the top racks.
  17. thanks. I got it to work the second time. It didn't show my discount until the end, even after I hit update. looks like DD2 is getting a bitty baby from her Memaw :) I think this is the start of "pandora's box"! LOL
  18. where do I enter the discount code? I have a bitty baby in my cart, but at the last page and still don't see the field to enter it. TIA!
  19. Oh, not sure if anyone already posted this.... Nick and Nora Infant girl nightgown (yellow with monkeys) was clearanced to $1.64. None of the other jammies were marked below 30%, except these.
  20. I don't know where to start!! our store finally went 75% off today and I couldn't go until this evening, but found a ton of stuff, but it was really picked over, but I found my first MM!!! (did my dance and off I went...) Best deals: Mix Up Nerds/Laffy Taffy packs that were already 90% off, so .99 Andes mints (got regular and toffee) were .37 instead of $1.49 Starbucks coffee mug/coffee/cookies packs that come with a "complimentary" drink- free tall bev. of your choice, exp. 06/09 for $3.74 Twig trees in the home/garden area were actually %75 but marked 50%, there were also lots of poinsettia arrangements. Bunch of red stuff for V-day and stocking stuffers to use for Easter, kids crafty things, etc. Overall a great trip for me. I saved $387.26. Unreal. I think this has been my best shopping day at Target ever. :)
  21. Central VA still 50% but found out they just got word to mark down tomorrow at 75%. I was told it basically goes by how much stock they have. If it's moving they keep it at 50, if not, they bump it up to 75. Also said some stores won't go up to 75 until THURSDAY. so I'll go back again tomorrow- there was still a bunch of wrapping paper, but most of the tableware was picked over.
  22. I've had Uggs for over 15 years now and LOOOVE them. they last forever and I wear them almost everyday now that it's cold-- around the house, out to get mail, quick run to the store. I know they cost a lot, but if you think about how much you spend on other pairs of shoes that you don't really wear as much, it's worth it. my 2 cents :)
  23. everything looked totally normal, except on the display bar (where the hooks are) there were tiny red circular dot stickers- smaller than a dime. I never paid attention in the past, but this year I was looking for deals- thanks to this thread
