after going through these posts again, I'm still totally confused. I bought the Acer at Target already, but haven't opened it. I mainly bought for my son to play online games, ed websites, etc. (so we will need to use java/flash). Does anyone know if this netbook will work for that? This is a deal breaker for me if it can't, so I would really appreciate any insight. Thanks!

That's what I did when I bought ours. Target has the $20 gc. deal going right now and that seems pretty good and easy to do. I would buy the wii game that comes with the extra remote, my mind is going blank.... I think the Target coupons for $10 off 2 games is still good At least you have options! Last year I was racing around just trying to FIND the thing in stock!

Got the Acer at Target today, but holding on to it just in case :) Basically we need for my son to play online games (Nick Jr., Disney stuff) and some learning websites. Also using as a second computer for me while hubby is traveling-- just email and basic web surfing. I wish it could play movies, but I'm thinking it will be fine with itunes and we have digital copies of movies now. Does this sound like it will fit our needs? I'm totally clueless on computer specs. Thanks!

Amazon's headquartered there so that's why you pay tax. Since they are a local business for you, you have to pay tax in-state. I think any store that has a B&M location in your state, you end up paying sales tax on-line.

Is everyone agreeing this is a good deal for a decent computer?? I might have to run to Target in the morning. I love Amazon, but it's worth the extra hassle to be able to return easily. I always buy big ticket items at B&M stores. Just my comfort level.

My gut is that they would do price ADJUSTMENTS but not price MATCHING. I plan on picking stuff up that's available and going in during BF hours for the adjustment. I'm also not looking at major BF items. If they don't price adjust, I'll just return it-- they lose my business. I buy a bunch of stuff then do returns after BF as needed. My target is pretty good about most stuff in general though, I don't have any problems with coupons or stacking or price adjusting.

Both are available on-site $5/$8. I looked at the description at the store and seems to be a lot of fluff with little movie time-- lots of games, fun items, etc. but the movies aren't long and we don't play the bonus stuff on DVDs. Am I missing something?

quick question.... I posted this in the Toy Book thread, but haven't had any replies: I bought 2 UP movies yesterday, with a bunch of other stuff, and used the 10/2 TQ since my store has been OOS on Monsters Inc. Not sure how my coupons applied to my transaction though. All my coupons beeped through- MQs and TQs, but I don't see any "target coupons" listed except for my reusable bags. Can I assume that they all applied since they all beeped? Help from the Target gurus please

I looked for the RB on clearance at Walmart, but we didn't have it. They do sell the Beatles game on it's own.
