  1. For my boys (6,3,and 3) the big hit was a box of legos. They have little guys in them and they can make ships w/the legos. For my dd (8) she has been playing w/her Build-a-Bear and playing w/it on-line. But as I type she too is playing w/the legos lol!!
  2. Thank you all for your replies/comments/advise. I have really learned some things and has made me think of some things I hadn't thought about before. Now, I can't wait to get back to the U.S. to get me some great deals!
  3. Your right about the slim sizes at Sears and since my dd (8) is so petite, I should probably go there more often for the jeans.
  4. My friend gets a lot of her clothes for her kids at Gap too. It is "extremely" rare for me to step foot in that store. Maybe I should consider more trips there.
  5. Yeah, my kids are not in the teen years yet. They are only 8, 6, 3, and 3 so I have a ways to go before they get really picky. I really, then, should think more like you did when your kids younger.
  6. I had a chuckle on that one. Good to know your experience w/ Gymboree :)
  7. Gymboree is one of those stores that I wish I could buy more clothes from. Their coordination of the tops and bottoms are soo cute. But they are too expensive for me. Yet I wonder even if I take the price out of the equation, will it still be a quality item that I should get? For me, even when they have some clearance, it is still expensive but if I hear from ya'll that their clothes is good quality then I'll think about it again and perhaps buy more from there.
  8. I am sooo glad to have those adjustable waists. And even more grateful to find them at places like Target. But you are right, TCP has them and I really like them for that too.
  9. What store do you like to get her jeans from? I never really go to the Gap because I think they are expensive, but you are right, I need to keep an eye out for their clearance.
  10. I am not familiar w/Justice but that's ok LOL!! My dd just turned 8 and is not aware of fancy/expensive stores yet. But I hadn't thought that I should buy the basics at more reasonable priced places like Target and leave some items for the more expensive stores.
  11. What you do sounds really smart..especially your pants w/the zipper. For the most part my 6yo is not picky either but I do wonder how things will change once they start to be more mindful of how they look...wonder when that starts?
  12. I buy some Children's Place items every now and then but I haven't paid attention to see if they hold up better than say Target children's clothes.
  13. Yeah, that's what I've doing..buying a lot of their clothes from the 75%off target clearance. But sometimes I buy it not because I think it's an awesome piece but more because it's an ok item of clothing and my kids are still not that picky..they are 8 and under including 3 boys.
  14. I knew about Sears replacing jeans if they get worn out but I didn't know it applies to other clothes, does it?
  15. I don't particularly think of the brand...I just go for the price (the cheaper the better of course LOL) but I'm starting to think that maybe a way to save money is to buy quality clothing for the kids rather than worry too much about the price. Is there one that you like because it is durable yet stylish. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated!
  16. Found lots of girls clothes for 75%. Maybe about 5 racks or so of 75% off. Everything I got was for warm weather time. So worth a look.
  17. For those of you music lovers of the 80s like me:D, I found in the music section a cd titled 80s new wave: party mix for 75% which was like $2.??. I love the this music. Songs by Duran Duran, Soft Cell and Peter Schilling. Just thought I'd shared. :)
  18. I agree w/Dealluvr. Call or email those that already told you they are ready to p/u. Don't worry about insulting the first lady. She is asking you to hold it for a week- that is not right. Tell us how it went.
  19. vbamother, this is the site that we check for target coupons. Hope it helps. :) http://afullcup.com/upload/cmps_index.php?page=coupon_generator
  20. I enjoyed the summer the clearance a bit more than this one but still this was good. Anyway, I just wanted to post my little exchange w/the cashier yesterday as I was buying my 75% off toys. First of all, she was surprised about the prices but in a good way. I then started to comment how it would be nice to be part of the markdown team (she asked if I worked for target cause I used their terminology LOL!!) and I said no but I told her that it would be nice to be part of that team because they get to pick out the toys they want as they are marking them down. BTW, there were about 3 or 4 markdown team ladies putting things into their cart and telling each other, hey I got this toy, do you think your daughter would like it. so the cashier tells me they are not supposed to that. She said not even managers can do that. They are supposed to wait until they are on a break. I told her I had seen many employees do this and she was just kind of upset and taken aback that this was going on because "it is against the rules". So I don't know if I got those ladies in the markdown team in trouble or not and I know this topic has been mentioned already and I mostly agreed that it was ok if they got their stuff while they markdowned. But now I know for sure that they are not supposed to be doing that so maybe my mind has changed a little.
  21. Went to out to the TArget here in San Antonio but no 90% yet. Their 75% started Monday so maybe tomorrow (Thursday) might go to 90%.
  22. :sidesplit:g_thumble I loved reading from your post, "then I whipped out my email" ROFL!!! I wish I would have seen the face on that CS person. Great going!!
  23. We didn't get one either in the Dallas Morning News newspaper. But it was ok w/me. I was happy to take myself and sister and mom to other stores rather than that store.
  24. THANK YOU!! great deal. I bought 4 bags. On another note, I went to two diff. targets and got myself a good stash of 90% off halloween stuff.
