Just got back from target and I had great finds. Pool stuff was 75% off- I got a pool w/slides for $7.48. Also, when I was there they were marking down socks to 75%. Also, rugs were on clearance. The other good clearance was the 07 College line of things for like going back to college dorms. THey were only marked down 30%, most were, but they were still good deals. Boys underwear were also on clearance but didn't check how much off. Some candles went 75%. As far as the school supplies, nothing here yet.

Customer service will definitely tell you that they don't take expired coupons, even if they are target coupons. I've used expired coupons and when the cashier scans them they scan just fine although she usually needs to use the scanning gun. My advantage in using these type of coupons is that I have become acquainted w/one cashier, so we chit chat and even talk about this site and coupons, etc and she knows how I'm into saving as much as I can so she's really nice. If I were you I would try to find a cashier who looks friendly and approachable and also try to make some conversation w/her. NOtice I said "her" cause I've had better luck w/females than male cashiers.

Went to my usual target this morning around 10:20 and they were marking down toys. The playwonder, I think most of it, if not all of it went 75%. Also got some great deals, 75% off, on water guns and slip and slides. Great finds!

I hope everyone who gets it does not use it-quite tempting, I know. I got mine about 2 months ago and I'm certainly not going to use. If I do, then that just lets them know that it is convinient to us and gives them more of a reason to get rid of the coupons online. Just my 2cents.

JACKPOT!!!!!! I FINALLY got the toys at 75% off. Granted,I'm not at home but rather visiting my first home, San Antonio, and so, there they were- a whole bunch of toys marked 75%!!! I don't know how we'll be fitting all those toys in our van LOL!!! but I got them!! I probably spent about $110 or so on toys (can't give exact amt. since I bought other stuff too) and I applied for the target card. I don't like the APR though (I don't like 19%-I have really good credit) so if they don't drop the rate I'll probably close it or just not use it. Anyway, I'm way happy at finding all these toys. I just wish they would have had the guitar my ds5 was wanting. Oh well, we'll see around Christmas time.

Went to one of the targets I visit and the only thing I saw was that the 30% had gone to 50%. I checked w/the lady who does toy markdowns and she said she had already done the toys (she was marking down lingerie at that time, btw, which I did pick up some good buys there). I did find that wagon that sits two and has a place for their cups. I can't remember the name but it was for $14.98.

Ok, so here is my last (hopefully) question about the toy markdown. Say they do markdown on Thursday, and say they start it around 10ish. Do I have to wait for them to stick the orange sticker on it to look at what the new price is, or lets say the toys I want are in the fifth isle while they are still on the second isle; so can I get those toys I want because their markdown price is already on the system anyway and when I go to pay its not like the cashier needs the sticker, it'll ring up 75% off still. I hope I made sense.

I've seen them markdown toys before around 10:30am at the target I go to, so they might do the same thing again, but I'll probably be there right at 8am just in case LOL!!

For those of you have done the 75% off on toys in years before, do you remember if the markdowns were done by the time they are open? Or have you encounter that sometimes they'll be marking down sometime during the day, perhaps mid-morning? Thanks for any info. :)

Just got back from Target and they had some good 75% kids clothing. I got pjs for my four kids. As I was checking out there were some Target employees w/stuff they were buying. Well, the main item they had was Gain detergent and it was marked down to $3.48. It was just your regular size Gain, but at that prize and probably some coupon, it was a great deal. So after I checked out I went to see if I could find them but I guess these employees took them all. Sometimes I wish I could be a Target employee so I can get to them first, but oh, well, that's just how it is.

I was told by a lady I ran into at my usual Target, that she was told the toy markdown would be this Thursday. She didn't need to say where she got her info from, I could tell she kinda had an "inside" source. I'm still going on wednesday, though, just in case.

OH yeah, believe me I'm not complaining. And the best part....all three are about w/in a three mile radius. After having moved from San Antonio 6 years ago where I never, ever used coupons and had no idea about doubling and all that, now I wonder how people ever get good deals. wishing you the same luck hopefully soon. :)

I'm in the DAllas area and here Kroger triples ALL the time. Ever since I noticed, probably last 4 or 5 years, they have done it. And they probably have done it even longer than that. We also have another grocery store, Tom Thumb which doubles and triples all the time, and just recently Albertsons started doing it as well.

On the very first post of this thread by Gator Pam, she posted the schedule for markdowns for practically all the departments. On there it says that men's clothing is markdown on Wednesdays. So maybe on a wednesday they might mark down the Father's day stuff. Hope this helps. On a side note, I love to look at the schedule she posted cause it does help when looking for certain items. Hope you get what you want.

Went tonight and was quite happy w/what I got. Every dept has at least one or two racks that are 75% off the reg. price and on top of that the 30%off. It takes some time to look but if anyone might think it might be a good idea to go look you definitely should.

Dh is on vacation so I got to go to Target around 8ish. I used a $3 cpn that expired on 6/30/07 Also, note that ALL items at the dollar spot are 50% off. Although some things were ringing up $1, I told the cashier that the signs were everywhere. They were marking down toys. Every isle had lots of toys on clearance-the highest percentage off was 50%.

Went to target today and found some good clearance on clothing for my 6yo dd. Also, found FOUR!! 10 pk minute maid juices. Two were fruit punch and two were grape. I had told one of the cashiers about them a while ago and everytime I paid at her register I would ask her if she had gotten them and she had not found them (I'm trying to be friendly so that I can feel comfortable w/someone there when I have to use the coupons). So I went up to her register and shared two of the juices. She was grateful. Then I told her that I wish I knew when they did the markdowns and she told me that employees get there at 3am to start on that. So for those who responded to my question about the best time to shop for clearance- definitely 8am. I'll have to wait until my children are all in school to be there at 8am-4 more years

:) Thanks all for your responses. I know things vary. But I was just thinking that maybe we might see a pattern if lots of people informed us of what time of day they find the best deals. See, I would wonder if I would find just recently marked down items right as they opened because I have seen, well, at least once, that a marked down is done around 10:30am (this was when the lady was marking down toys).

Went to today to one of the Targets near me. Saw wicker baskets, like for organizing, for 75% off-about $3.24 or so. Saw the black ottoman's that the top comes off for 75% as well. I think they were $24 or $25. I have a question for whoever would like to answer so that way we have a better idea of when to find the deals. Do you find your deals usually in the morning, afternoon, or evening? I usually hit the store around 11am and usually find some good stuff.

went to Target to tonight and just want to post that watches are like 50% off. There are a lot of balls (footballs, volleyballs, basketballs, etc) on clearance as well. There is a huge box of sandwich bags for like $4.24 or something like that in the grocery section. I think the brand is GLAD but I can't remember now. There are lots of shoes that are 30 and 50% off. And I did see the memory foam for 75% off but they only had full. There were more toys on clearance but still nothing at 75% off that I really want.
