sleep... i have to work on thanksgiving 7am-7pm, get home at 8pm, go through the deals till 10pm. and out the door at 2am. we don't have a turkey dinner (all the family lives out of state and celebrate with others so me and the kids do ours on tues or wed) AND i give up the option of having any other holidays off (i ususally work x-mas or new years) just so i can have BF off. but the kids are all about getting great deals and who am i to say "no we aren't going to save money"...i say BRING ON THE DEALS!!! me and the kids are ready!

i get alot of ornaments from cracker barrel...if there is one by your house, then you might want to try. and they always have lots of stuff on clearance. before and after the holidays.

my kids have made the reindeers since they were 3 or 4 years old... i just take the left over candy canes to work. any leftovers go there.

mine has only a dollar general, too. but they are building a walmart and target (i think) in the next town over. i just live in a little town that has really nothing!!! i have to drive about 40 miles to do the BF shopping.

i usually start around 2am (i have to work on turkey day from 7am til 7pm) and the kids and i shop until about 1 or 2 pm...that's when the money usually runs out!!

i know of many people that have went to indiana to get liquor for cheap. a few have driven from south east michigan to get a van load. not sure of the stores, though.

i have bought a lot of jeans and other clothes at jcpenney just like everyone else for my daughter. you might also want to try kmart and look at the petit jeans. my daughter just got 3 pairs of jeans there (she is plus size) and i think that they were either size 16 or 18. i am thrilled because i won't have to hem any of them and they only cost me $6 each!! i have also had alot of luck with the shirts there because she is short and the shirts fit her perfectly.

yesterday at the target near knoxville, tn they had 2 pack boxes of cereal (apple jacks, special k, golden grahams, and a few more) for 4.24 marked down from 5.00 and on the boxes were 5 coupons. on the special k the coupon was for a free granola bar and on the apple jacks the free coupon was for eggo waffles. used coupons to buy the 2 boxes of cereal and got each for around $3.00. they were near the diapers that are on sale for 15% off in the back of the store.

try a used sporting good store like "play it again sports" or look in the yellow pages under used sporting goods. my kids play softball and all of their equipment is supplied except for their mitts.

saw one at the dollar general store the other day....not sure how much it was, but i do know that it was in the 25% off section.

i got mine at the dollar store for $1. it looks kind of like a recipe card holder and i just made up my own dividers. it is heavy plastic so it will last for years to come!!

i didn't do this good, but i still got a bunch of items. we had the same thing with the buying of the bag for a dollar and i cleaned up!!! got a bunch of cards and self adhesive labels and a ton of ribbon and xmas craft stuff for the kids!!

i haven't gotten the coupon by mail or the bbw coupon by email..just having a bad day i guess.
