  8. Happy to help... I've picked up some amazing deals over the past 1+ years through magazinepricesearch.com. Like The Week, a weekly news magazine, for $4.16 per year. I locked that in for 4 years! That's less than $.10 per issue!!! (It's available for $24.95 per year now).

  10. Alimfp -- it's too close to Christmas for the first issue to arrive (usually 10-12 weeks). I suggest you pick up *gulp* pick up a copy at the newsstand and gift wrap it (problem there is that the newsstand price is probably more than than the subscription)... Or just include a personal note in with your card to her. At these prices, these online companies don't send out gift announcements.

  17. I am guessing that snow doesn't accumulate in these lawns from the heat thrown from the Christmas lights!

  22. This isn't really a horror story, kinda funny actually... My in-laws had two of those light-up reindeer in their lawn. They look kinda like this: http://www.echristmas.com.au/images/group/Rein03.gif Well, we were visiting them a couple of years ago and we all went out for the day, and while we were gone, some prankster put the reindeer in a comprimising position. Now, my in-laws are very conservative... Imagine my surprise when the next time we went up to visit them and they had puchased and set up a little baby reindeer!
