  1. Up to 80% off! And, I'm sure these types of prices are not exclusive to Kohl's: I bought a "Fall-weight" casual jacket with hood and tons of pockets that was originally $80.00 for $18.00!!! I also bought a new Winter coat that was originally $140.00 for $28.00!
  2. Sam's has that too. The hot dog is 1/4 lb. (not sure of the sausage size, I never get them). And the drink is 32 oz.
  3. Nearest Sam's is 5 minutes away, and has a gas station, car wash, butcher shop, concessions, and bakery. Nearest BJ's is 15 minutes away. I used to belong to both, but hardly went to BJs. Nearest Costco is 45+ minutes away. But I've been to them in San Diego area...
  4. I think that plays a major part in it. The BB distro for my address is in NJ, which meant that incoming and outgoing spent 2 days in transit. But the Netflix distro is about an hour away, so it only taks one day. My neighbor just switched back to Blockbuster since he had trouble getting new releases from Netflix. He figures he'd rather get the new releases and deal with the extra transit time. I'm working my way through Season 3 of 24, and then I am going to go on to Season 4 and then through all 27 DVDs of M*A*S*H, so I don't care about new releases (right now).
  5. I am in my first month of Netflix. A neighbor up the street has had Netflix for about a year and rents 20 movies a month from them and has been quite satisfied. I had BB Online for about 4 months last Summer, but their shipping was very slow. During that short time, I had 3 defective DVDs (one cracked, one with a weird manuf. defect that wouldn't play, and one that wouldn't play the end of the movie). I also had one DVD shipped that wasn't what I asked for. I guess I am just unlucky... Also, the movies that I am receiving from Netflix seem to have less scratches on the "play" side then the ones I was getting from BB Online (some of those looked like they met up with some 220 grit sandpaper. )
  6. Your avatar says it all: Always make copies, otherwise you have nothing.
  7. I received two and am still waiting on seven more (waiting on $400.00).
  8. And if you are trying to figure out how to order by number: here are the images I made up the last time that Staples had one of these sales: From the www.staples.com home page, look for what I've circled: http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Stuff/orderpage1.gif The next page should look like this: http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Stuff/orderpage2.gif Hope these help someone... And thanks for posting, noehlp!
  9. I blame the companies the stores hire to run the rebates, not the stores themselves... Just my !
  10. These rebate companies must never need to buy paper clips! (and banks too!) http://www.datadoctors.com/images/clippy.gif
  11. http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileys/Nasties/soap.gif Now my fight for some of the rebates has begun. http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileys/Nasties/icon1.gif OfficeMax claims that I don't qualify for the Brother PT1180 Labeler Rebate because I didn't purchase it during the "qualifying period". Hello!!! I sent them the rebate form that printed at the register, along with a copy of the rebate. So I sent them another copy of everything with all the dates highlighted and a short note. And Office Depot claims that I didn't send them the right UPC for my Sandisk 1 GB SD Card. Which I guess, is possible, but that means that one of my rebates for the Sandisk 1 GB Memory Card is wrong too. So, I sent them a copy of the "right" UPC label. Sometimes I think that these rebate companys intentionally disqualify people to see if they'll actually take the time to send in their information again... http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileys/Nasties/spar.gif
  12. No, I've never used Linspire, but I just wanted to point out that it doesn't come with Windows. People shouldn't plan on being able to just install their printer drivers, Kodak photoshare, HP scanner, etc. from CD. They're going to need to search online for the Linux versions (if they exist). The Outpost listing doesn't make a big deal about it, and I figured it would be easy for people to get caught up in the price and forget to review all the details...
  13. They're starting to trickle in...
  14. Labgeek: "Add a monitor and go..." Not to mention... figure out how to use Linspire 5.0! There is no version of Windows included with this computer! I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but with 95% of the world using Windows, and this computer doesn't have it... Linspire is "The World's Easiest Desktop Linux". http://www.linspire.com/
  15. It's a shame that your computer can't find the Newegg site. That's a heck of a deal on that monitor... Maybe you should try again? Maybe they were having trouble with the site when you tried it? It's working for me... www.newegg.com Also, you should know that TigerDirect is a mixed bag as far as customer satisfaction goes. Go here to read their reviews on Reseller Ratings: http://www.resellerratings.com/seller1983.html And here is Newegg's rating: http://www.resellerratings.com/seller2121.html And Newegg has over 9K ratings vs. the 3K ratings for TigerDirect. But I guess you have to do what you feel is best, but I've read enough reviews about TigerDirect to make me never want to shop there. You should also read the following: http://www.consumeraffairs.com/computers/tiger_direct.htm http://www.consumeraffairs.com/computers/tiger_defective.html And since you asked about rebates, read this too: http://www.consumeraffairs.com/computers/tiger_rebates.html http://www.gripe2ed.com/scoop/story/2005/12/20/115114/90
  16. How about a Benq 19" for $239.99 after a $60 MIR??? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824014090 BenQ FP91G+ Black 19" 8ms LCD Monitor 250 cd/m2 550:1 0.294mm Pixel Pitch - Retail 199 reviews later and it has a 5 outta 5 eggs rating (highest possible score). It has both Analog and DVI inputs and BOTH cables ARE INCLUDED! Weekend sale only -- don't delay! You may not have heard of Benq, but they just bought Siemens mobile phones, so they're not some fly-by-night outfit... http://www.benq.com/
  17. No way to fix it? I had a desktop computer's POWER SWITCH (the button in the front to turn it on) go bad.... Took me $10 on eBay to fix, but the computer was a paper weight till the switch arrived.
  18. Hey all, I thought I'd post a bunch of kids/parents magazines this time. Hope you guys find something you like. 19. That's the best price I found... here's the link: http://www.magazinepricesearch.com/detail/sportsillustratedforkids.html Amazon.com also has it for $19.99 for 12 months.
  20. That's how ours is (but our clearance section is in the back right corner...)
  21. I have ordered The Week, Car & Driver, Maximum PC, Mobile PC, Computer Shopper. My wife gets InStyle, Fitness, Shape, OK!, Lucky, Domino, Women's World, and First for Women. All have been ordered (and renewed when the time comes) for less than the individual magazine offered directly. If you notice, 99% of the places that www.magazinepricesearch.com refers to are Yahoo Small Business Web sites. That being said, if they tried any funny business with your credit card or pricing, that they'd be risking losing their Web site and merchant account with Yahoo, in addition to having to deal with your credit card company's fraud dept. And, you could also complain to www.magazinepricesearch.com... These prices/companies are legit. This is probably the 5th thread I've started with magazine prices obtainted through www.magazinesearch.com and no one has EVER had a negative comment (nothing like "I ordered such-and-such magazine from a link off of magazinepricesearch.com and never received it... or they went and had a party using my credit card numbers). If fraud is a concern, Discover Card and a few Visa/MasterCards offer one-time-use credit card numbers.
  22. You're right. It appears that the pricing for Men's Health has changed, overnight. Just like that! I'll change my original post...
