Most guys would like an iPod Touch, especially if he can get free wifi via Starbucks. On the GPS front, I just bought a Nuvi 780 for $200 and think it's the bee's knees!

What do you charge? And are the rates for #1 and #2 different?

The Canon SD1100 IS was last year's model and was replaced with the SD1200 IS this year. I did some looking and the only SD1100 IS cameras that I can find are on Amazon for that $299 for just the camera. Other possibilities for you would be on eBay for a used or refurb SD1100 IS. However, Steve's Digicams gave the new SD1200 IS a glowing review, I'll cut to the chase and jump right to the conclusion: "As the successor to the Canon PowerShot SD1100 IS, the SD1200 IS continues the quality and ease of use of the Digital ELPH series. This new ultra-compact digicam features an upgraded 10-Megapixel imaging sensor, Digic 4 image processor, Smart Auto and Intelligent-Contrast, as well as a slight reduction in size and weight. Other features have carried over, such as the 3x optical zoom with optical image stabilization, optical viewfinder and 2.5-inch PureColor II LCD screen, giving the camera a very familiar look and feel from past models. " And: "Bottom Line - The Canon PowerShot SD1200 IS is another great addition to the Digital ELPH line of cameras. As one of the smallest cameras with a wide variety of stylish colors, it is fun and easy to carry all the time. Despite its size, it's packed full of useful features. The combination of performance and quality make this an excellent camera for the family or as a small backup to a larger camera. With a MSRP of US$229.99, this is definitely an ultra-compact worth looking into." http://www.steves-digicams.com/2009_reviews/canon_sd1200is_conclusion.html

Don't forget that postage is going up $.02 starting May 11th. If you find yourself in a CVS in the near future, they sell "Forever Stamps" by the book.

If you are a member there, Sam's Club typically has one style of kitchen faucet. That's where we bought ours back in '03 and it's worked like a charm. Barring that, you could check for surplus home stores (we have one nearby, you probably do too). And Wal-Mart has a super no-frills el-cheapo model.

Yeah, I wouldn't either... You have no recourse if the dress isn't right, other than disputing the credit card charges. Dealing with a local place, even a web site in the USA, is a better option, IMHO. -

I bought our stove from Lowe back on 3/3/03 (just stuck in my head). I thought their prices were fair... Home Depot wanted to keep their appliances as pets! http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Surprise/Hein33.gif

Is there a mistake in price at Dell?
Marcster replied to thanasphere's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
Many credit unions offer EPP #s to their customers. Otherwise, it's offered by large companies to their employees. -
Or they were on vacation, Johnny is somewhere on the Left Coast after all... No doubt that some parents pulled their kids out of school though.

I would look for a surround sound system that has HDMI connections. Though my setup doesn't have HDMI, I can really see how it cuts down on the amount of cords running around (each connection that used to be one cable for video and left/right audio or 3 cables for video and left/right for audio, would be replaced with just one single HDMI cable). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hdmi Any TV, DVD player, etc. that you buy in the future will have HDMI connections (in addition to legacy ports), and HDMI is judged to be the best connector right now.

http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Sick/fartysmile1f.gif ------ They just showed a reporter at a Denny's. Place was packed (to be expected, I guess)....

You can watch the commercial on their web site: www.dennys.com Unfortunately, my local Denny's is now a Japanese restaurant. So now my nearest Denny's is 28 miles away. I don't think it's worth an hour drive (round trip) to get a free breakfast in a (crowded) Denny's.
